Teto has always been incredibly electronic sounding and that's part of her charm. SynthV really answers "What if she sounded human?" and it's fantastic. She didn't lose her voice either, you can still tell it's her

I remember one of the reasons teto never became an official vocaloid was because one of crypton developers for curiosity sake, experimented with her voice and didn't like how she "lost her charm" in the vocaloid engine compared to utau.😅 luckily this doesn't seem to be the case in synthV.🥰

With Synth V her voice sounds much closer to her voice provider's, more than anything else. It's still taking me some time to get used to it but I am definitely excited for this release~!

Synth v ai or ai voice generator in general always sounds realistic. Moreover, this is a demo for promoting her, of course they give her the best tuning as good as possible like every other voicebanks promotion songs

to me, the synthv vb sounds like… well, it sounds like Teto went through 15 years of voice training! Utau will always have a special place in the heart of many, but her SynthV voice bank is gorgeous!

I guess that’s basically what happened since the voice provider aged too. I think that’s kind of unique to teto. We get to hear improvement in tech and the voice provider 😊.

It feels like a fever dream to see teto recognized this way and getting her own voice bank in a different engine

I was right her voice provider was a teen when she first started and is around 30ish now, so Teto's voice HAS matured!

to the ppl saying how teto doesn't sound like teto(??) you also gotta keep in mind the voice provider aged too lol, Mayo Oyamano was 15 when teto released, she's about 30 now but still, to me she sounds literally like utau teto

That and the editing on her new vocal samples are probably a LOT cleaner. So she just has a better tone with less of the artifacting.

I'm gonna cry, she sounds incredible. Hearing a voice that basically accompanied me throughout my childhood, getting a revamp is a feeling I can't describe.

Yeah I don't know why people are saying she doesn't sound like herself. The only situation I can kind of hear that is when she's singing really powerfully, but you can fix that by just adding a little bit of gender parameter, and using a combination of power and cute instead of just power; I think that would be all it would take to get that sakebi-like sound.

@TakoyakiDonuts It also helps that SynthV's expressivity sounds like it would be a lot easier to control, especially mid-note velocity-changes that are used as a tremolo to complement the vibrato and other pitch-bending features used to add emotion to the voice.

As someone who's been in the fandom since 2011, it's rare for me to love new versions of voicebanks due to nostalgia... but Teto's is my only exception! They made her sound absolutely stunning in SynthV! She still sounds like herself, but has much more clarity and poise to her voice. It's amazing to see she is now official!

I truly dont get some of the criticism about the new VB, its not like the utau ones arent available anymore? my view on it is of the 'holy shit, two cakes!' type. While i have a special fondness for tetos utau voicebank and her more robotic voice, i still find it dope to see her get an update! And i do think the voicebanks keep quite a lot of her Vibe despite being on such a different program ^_^

Tetos voice, to me, is power. Hearing her singing mellow tunes is good and all, but it was "Alive" that really sold this new step for me. If she's not singing with everything she's got, is she even Teto? Is she the diva who clawed her way to the top we all fell in love with?

Erm, her sample while singing the song Alive sounded pretty powerful to me, its not really a mellow song o_o i will say though, the person who tuned her utau vb really nailed it w her in Alive. But there is no doubt she sounds really great in the SynthV portion as well

I like how they still kept the “strong” voice/pronunciation of the original UTAU voicebank, while making her realistic too! Can’t wait when people play around with SynthV Teto 💕✨

The best part is that she still sounds like our beloved Teto

SynthV knew what they were doing. SynthV's is like "Soft, Deep and Strong" and can reach very humane high notes while UTAU's is basically "Strong, Robotic and Hard". and high notes are very inhumane growls than screams.

Her actual voice sounds the same, it's just... smoother. With UTAU Teto, whenever the pitch changed, you could really hear the step in pitch, while Synth V Teto makes the transition much smoother.

It really sounds like Teto grew up 😭 Love her

I like how they keept her military aesthetic. Even if I LOVE how robotic she sounds, I still love her new voice.. it's beautiful *♡LOVE♡TETO♡FOREVER♡*

oh wow, she sounds amazing. i really hope synthv teto is a free voicebank (or at least has a lite version) so poor folk like me can use her in covers and such. the utau version did have a charm, but at least for me synthv is so much more pleasing to listen to. this is actually making me a bit emotional--she started out as a joke, just a parody of another miku on a free software, and now she's so widely recognized that she's actually getting a professional voicebank. idk man... its just..... sweet.......

The Lite version was said to be available on May 8 during the official AHS live broadcast. However, they also said that there might be a slight delay because they are busy right now. We hope this will be of some help.

Both be really unique man, I like both to coexist, both electronic and realistic are really good (The Utau do be special since she got her identity from there)

I'm old, and grew up listening to transistor radios--Teto's voice was nostalgic for me, having that same tinny sound. Her new sound is rich and gorgeous, but I'll always love her for her original self.

My jaw was on the FLOOR! I have never heard Teto sound so high quality!! And honestly?? She deserves it!! Get that upgrade, sis!! This makes me so so so excited!!

Utau Teto looks like that yt singers from early 2010's and her update to SV is like she finally signing a contract with a record label.

All AI voicebanks can sing English, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. So Teto can also sing Mandarin Chinese aswell! But with how SynthV works, you can manipulate the ability to sing these three languages in ways that give you the ability to sing other languages aswell.

"Never" is a strong assumption, synthV voicebanks are more flexible than the demos make it seem

The voice sounds the same, the only thing is that in the SV she sounds more mature- more ig “womanly?” Like she’s all grown up- and ngl i don’t mind that at all considering its her story- she’s all grown up now and a star ⭐️

Personally I love all the variations, except power. I'd hate to say it, but it really doesn't sound like her. If I heard it without knowing it was Teto's voice, I wouldn't have ever guessed it was her. Though as someone said down before, it can easily be fixed. Joyful sounds off as well. Only in the chorus when she's singing more powerfully though. Still love it overall + her new outfit ❤
