Sorry, but I don't see how something that happens in one's personal life should affect the band. If he'd been physical to the band I would say fair enough. The best way to deal with this was for Serge to come to Tom and say, look do you need a timeout to get your head straight and come back? But that didn't happen and Serge was looking for an excuse to get rid of him. And he already has taken responsibility he pleaded guilty. That's enough. But that's the trouble with Cancel Culture vulture's isn't it - they want you hung, drawn and quartered.

This still smacks of a mega fanboy that doesn’t want to accept that one of his musical heroes plead guilty in court to a “sustained attack” on his partner. Tom plead guilty after viewing CCTV of the attack. Anyone that hasn’t read the details of what appeared on that CCTV footage, should do so. You will then understand exactly why Tom plead guilty, and why the CPS prosecuted. I sympathise with his mental health issues, but under the circumstances, I can also sympathise with the rest of his ex bandmates in the decision that they made in firing Tom

This indeed. I loved Kasabian with Tom. The details are shocking and it wasn’t just an argument or a scuffle he clearly needed help with his mental health and drink and substance abuse but was still guilty of a horrific attack on Vikki. To me he seems very set on that he was hard done by and that everyone was out to get him and refuses to take real responsibility for his actions he clearly needs more time and more help I really hope he gets it and comes to terms with himself and continues to make great music

A couple of things here confuse me, 1, Tom says he was made to sign a contract to 'gag' him from talking about Kasabian yet in this interview and other ones he is doing exactly that. 2, He says that it was his wife Vikki who called the police during the 'incident' as Tom was suicidal and Tom ended up with two black eyes. Why would she need to punch him in both eyes if he was suicidal during an argument? Domestic abuse whether it's from a man or women is never acceptable. 4, Tom says he was spiralling into drink and drugs because he knew it was the end of the band, but it's very clear in the last few years of Kasabian he had been acting this way for a long time and i'm not surprised if Serge and the other members got tired of his excessive ways, they needed a lead singer who was with it and reliable. 5, Tom mentioned that the band/management offered him short term support but he clearly didn't take any of it and refuses to accept any blame for his own behaviour. 6, it's quite telling that Serge and the other members have remained a dignified silence and Tom just comes across bitter and quite petty, I mean moaning about the name of the studio? If he was that bothered by it all those years ago he could have recommended they call it something else. It's great that he's cleaned his act up but he needs to take some responsibility for his part in getting kick out of Kasabian even before the incident with his wife.

And that includes communication with his ex-bandmates . I think, we may not notice, but he still feels pain about leaving the band. And now he’s taken a wrong direction. Just my opinion.

James, the difference with Tom's incident and the scrap you had and why the police would not drop the charges, is because Tom's incident was caught on video. That's a big difference. With the video evidence Viki's testimony was not required. Given what was caught on the video, the police had no choice but to pursue charges. I should also remind you that Tom pleaded guilty. He did not contest the charges. How can you claim it was a miscarriage of justice when Tom pleaded guilty? Had he contested the charges, Viki could have given evidence.

It's a dangerous, incorrect and misleading assertion to state that the CPS went ahead with the charges in this domestic abuse case in order to "cover their arses". The CPS only go ahead with prosecutions against the will of a victim if there is absolutely zero doubt that it is warranted to do so. If your pub punch up didn't lead to a prosecution after you decided to drop the charges, that's solely due to the fact the CPS didn't feel it was warranted to prosecute without the victim's support. Genuinely think this misleading and incorrect information should be edited out as it's absolutely not the reality of how the British justice system works and could potentially undermine how people view all domestic abuse cases that are carried without the support of a victim. Irresponsible journalism.
