Ok so lets get this straight! Karl is honest and real...and he has a very simplified view of life. But I have been listening to karls stuff for years and he is a very savie and I think intelligent in a real way. He is a radio producer and editor for a start an involved and diverse job which I gather he has won awards for. Also he promotes himself and his projects and understands what the public want. So I think even though wee might like to see him as a simple guy..he is real much more than that.

He's so genuine. Even in this video he came out with some bogus "fact" which he probably just misunderstood to begin with, and he doesn't mind calling other countries shit. Everyone should aspire to be so unpretentious. He's also right about his stay being shit terrible. If they only got him to moan about the wonders themselves, the series would only have 2 episodes.

You get so much more watching Karl talking than simply listening to Karl talking. He seems so much more animated and engaging here. It's also one of the few times that he's on radio/tv without Ricky or Steve about

Richard KNOWS it's not an act, he used to work at XFM with him, he's simply playing devil's advocate to give him a chance to answer the skeptics directly.

Karl's a very perceptive bloke. His comment about knowledge getting in the way is spot on. He's way over the head of the Bacon idiot.

How he keeps in character is amazing. He’s doing theater work now.

I love that his calling the head of production at Sky for that show and his telling him it is going to be ok and to take one day at a time haha.

Rick, Steve, and Karl need to do a live, sort of three-man-show, tour. Ricky is a great stand-up ( and Steve I understand is doing a stand-up tour sonn) but those three live would be fried gold.

I absolutely agree. Letting Karl talk, not interrupting him, no shouting, just smoooooth. Very likable host.

A 5 bedroom house in london, you're looking at a minimum of a 800k house. Its prob more likely a 1 or 2mil house. When ricky met him in XFM he had a 2 bedroom flat and he had a dodgy washing machine and boiler. Pilkington would never have made it without Ricky. He got shoved into peoples faces for them to see how incredible Karl is. Yes, Karl stands his own because he is amazing and probably the funniest man on the planet. But he does owe it all to karl. Its just mates having fun, not bullying.

Karl's quoted for saying, "I'm a grown man. 'You think I go home & cry to me mum, 'Ooh, Ricky & Steve won't stop picking on me.' No. I'm not a child, you know."

I love the episode in India, that bit where he gets taken into a courtyard and everyone starts flinging coloured powders into the air (and on Karl) and dancing with him is a genuinely beautiful moment, not least because Karl cracks a bloody smile for once :)

If he was actually bullying him, I;d agree. Ricky isn't saying "yes I am bullying him, but he's rich so who cares" - he's saying he isn't bullying him. They're best friends, Karl has said so before, their relationship is based on friendly 'abuse', if you like.
