She's basing it off Strassman's version, just goes to show how iconic she made the character. That said I think Kari is doing a great job keeping it faithful.

Karen Strassman was born for that role.💘 It came out so natural! Like she didn't even try. Her ICONIC phrases are superb: "Tasty!", "Delicious!", "Come let me warm you!"🔥😈, "Sisterrrr", " Let us play my Sister", "Let us dance", "You will help me regain my throne", "Quan chi's pawn", etc.

@David Campbell. It's not true! Many mk "fans" started rumors about Karen Strassman in order to defend be NRS and ed boon for not hiring her back. The "fans" said that Karen is a racist, homophobe and that she started working in porn. Nasty lies!😤 I am happy that we can fact check anything now. I went to her linkedin page and also her Twitter page. Karen is working in series, animes, games, etc. She didn't come back cuz she supported the voice actors strike in order to defend her comrades and their rights.

The new voice actually suits new Mileena, I can't picture MK11 Mileena talking with her MKX voice, it wouldn't look right.

Same! This is the best she's ever looked and sounded, imo. She's so pretty in mk11, minus the tarkatan grill of course lol. I love the voice, it fits her and her weirdly childlike savagery.

I wouldn't say nailed since there is no definitive "Mileena voice" Karen set the bar pretty high so you could say that she is the definitive Mileena voice, like Mark Hamill's Joker. Kari does well as Mileena too tho

As an inspiring amateur voice actor who's done work on here, hopefully one day professionally God willing I have to admit she does a great Mileena. I'm not a Mileena fanboy or fangirl per-se, just a big MK fan. Didn't understand the hate she got, she's keeping it faithful and consistent with Karen's version. That's really cool how you got a shoutout from a pro VA.

You can't please everybody. Most of them I think more Karen Straussman fans than they are Mileena. Otherwise, they wouldn't be soo picky. But that's my opinion and they are entitled to theirs. But I love the voice.

So reading the comment, I'm actually kind of shocked to find out the there's a different VA for Mileena. Then again, I guess I should slap myself for being an idiot for not connecting the dots sooner since Kari did do Kitana's voice too. Still, it's nice to know she was ready to pull double duty (even though IMDB and other sites apparently haven't updated their lists yet to reflect this). And I did enjoy the small demo video she did for you to give a quick sample of how she will approach voicing Mileena.

As a long time MK fan and a Mileena main, I am just happy she made it to mortal kombat 11. But the voice....... Aaaaaahh! Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!😨 Mileena sounds like a hyena with ephyzema. NRS did Mileena dirty. I am happy you kept it real and don't fake it. Because many of the MK youtube channels vote down any type of critique for Mileena as if they are affraid of ed boon. It’s not that bad, Kari’s trying her best and I think she’s doing a great job, she’s bringing the tarkatan side of her out more and it makes sense since she doesn’t have lips. Also since she voices Kitana and Mileena is a clone it would only make sense for her to voice both. Obviously no one can replace Karen but at least appreciate the effort.
