Right? I had so many arguments with people giving the films hate. Personally I enjoyed the films just as they said.. Its about the characters and story. The fighting was alright, especially the reptile liu kang fight. Anyway, people just expect too much. Glad to see they still catch up and stuff.

Sadly, movies like MK2 and Beverly Hills Ninja permanently hurt Robin's career. Linden suffers from anxiety and would experience such terrible panic attacks at auditions that he nearly quit acting all together. He had problems landing big roles due to stress and anxiety and felt more comfortable with the small stuff.

The question at 13:50 , I'll probably have to agree to the answer of Mr. Linden Ashby till the day I die. It is 100% true that this movie has set a bar for Game-to-Movie productions so high that Mortal Kombat (1995) will always remain the best Mortal Kombat movie for this franchise. The cast, the production work, the screenplay, the overall setting and locations, everything about this movie was what a visual MK needs to be. My first MK game was MK3 in Sega Mega Drive. Then I watched this movie. And lot later experienced the first MK and MK-II games. So as a kid, I was relating the movie more with MK3 as I was watching it. It was an unforgettable, joyous one and a half hour of my life the first time I watched this movie and I couldn't get enough of it.
