Wonderful poem, very poignant and touching indeed, a terrific tribute to a beautiful and talented soul, Karen Carpenter, this was her favorite song too, she truly was one of a kind. Thanks for sharing this.

Thank you for this beautiful poem🌹🌹! Karen Carpenter had a beautiful voice ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💐💐, but like she said,"[She] was a drummer 🥁that sang🎤" and she was a wonderful drummer too⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💐💐! Most of all Karen Carpenter had a wonderful smile💐🌹, a wonderful sense of humor, she collected 🧸🧸teddy bears 🧸🧸in her condominium, she collected Mickey Mouse plush toys, and a really good heart 💛💛💛💛💛. She died when I was just a child😢🖤, but I often wished I could have met her. I feel her spirit 💛⭐🌈and her songs and🙏🙏 I pray she's an angel in Heaven 🙏🙏 singing in the choir now💐💐🌹🌹⭐💛💛🌈!!

Regarding the verse at 2:18, Karen was in her parents' home, but sadly, not in their presence at the time of her cardiac arrest. In the presence of others, there is a much greater likelihood of resuscitation, because help can be given or summoned quickly, as time is of the essence.

Nice verses and video! I especially like the photos in the lead-in. Your selections of brother-sister interaction are entertaining. This is a beautiful song, and was Karen's favorite; she once expressed her admiration or amazement at her brother's talent in writing it. Karen's drum-playing talent is well illustrated in the video for "Your Wonderful Parade" and in the Australian concert, to name two places....

I'm sorry. Previously I had refrained from saying that, thinking that it might upset people.
