When I heard this song for the second time I cried because of how sad yet beautiful Kanye’s verse was. The way he told the story of how the loss of one child can effect the whole family for the rest of their lives was masterful. Ye even made me feel remorse for the man who killed the little brother when he said he’s seen everything but Christ. Took it as he’s tired of this evil world where he’s experienced nothing but pain, evil, sadness, etc. so he’s ready to meet Christ and finally experience his grace and love.

Kanye I know you’ll never read this but the impact you have made on my life is far greater than any artist. I lost my mom right when you dropped this. It has touched my soul every day. I cry so hard every time I listen because I relate to so much of this song. I will always defend your name to anyone who wants to talk about you. I love how God has worked through you so deeply. You are an inspiration in an industry full of people who are lost. You are my favorite I even named my cat Kanye west. You are really the best and allowed to be proud of that. Thank you for this. Today would have been my mom’s 70th I was only 31 when I watched her pass. Your song gets me through the dark thoughts you are very loved and your momma is watching you always and she’s so proud of you, she loves you so much and I know mine does too❤.

The thing with the likes of Ye, The Weeknd, and Kudi is they make you feel. Feel real, feel humble, feel prideful, feel weak, or/and feel strong through their craft. The likes of Drake is like a phase, a persona, an idea, void of depth. Ye with this album cut his wrists and left the Blood on the Leaves. The album is amazing, as I knew, it would be.

This is definitely the standout track on the album for me. I would absolutely love to see a few other rappers on this track to explain their own personal “I need Jesus” moments in their lives. This song could be 1/2 hour long for all I care.
