If both players have Ghost, my bet would be that the game would treat that situation as though neither player had Ghost - i.e., same as what happens when both players have Daredevil on turn 5

@@dongnguyen7522 I would figure: first player A moves Cpt Marv, then player B gets a go. Yet Ghost would have to revert to default (like neither have them) Double Kang would just show each other’s crippling need for security :-)

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if two ghosts reversed the normal rules of initiative. Both players having one is both players saying the thing they want is to go second, so therefore they’ll have to earn it
@PollexLLC

@@Lylybeebee This would be really cool, but unfortunately would also be unintuitive without the card explicitly saying that it would flip priority in the case of another card lowering the opponents prio as well.
Kang will police itself hopefully, by people getting tilted over Kang revealing the opponent playing Kang.

I like the idea behind Kang but I don’t see enough of a con to keep him from being played in every deck. He should stay on the board an hog up space or you have 1 less energy on the next turn. Some sort of con. Seems like a no brainer to have in majority of decks
I literally didn't think that they will able to make kang lore friendly but they did somehow 😂 I'm impressed
I need to see a moon girl + kang deck. Imagine how annoying would be to play the turn 3 times

I have a sneaking feeling that “without kang” actually means that ALL copies of Kang would disappear from your hand, not just the one you played. The card doesn’t say it explicitly but I could see that making sense.

@@cloutjumper4852 i don't believe the game remove all kangs because it's advantage for who played first. A round where both players know what the other wanna do, is interesting. It also doensn't make sense lore wise. Maybe moon girl kang doensn't work, but i think it will.

@ralphhingco6690

Theres also this kang outplay that you show your last play then enemy use kang then you use your own kang when the round resets. When that happens a lot, noone would play kang first in anticipation that your opponent will play kang. Kang opens up alot of mind games.
I wonder if there's ever a world where you'd run Ghost + Viper. For a combo deck that relies on On Reveals, maintaining priority can be pretty important. There are definitely times where, for instance, a Wong combo succeeds or fails based on priority. Might be too clunky, though.
I think Stature could be great in a Infinaut She-Hulk deck. Turn 1: Sunspot Turn 2: Quinjet Turn 3: Moon Knight Turn 4: Moon Girl (try to copy She Hulk & Stature. Both copies lose 1 cost, with the opponent’s discard, this could reduce Stature a 1 & 0 cost between the two cards) Turn 5: Magik Turn 6: Skip Turn 7: 1 Infinaut (6 cost), 2 She Hulks (0 cost each), 2 Statures (1 cost and 0 cost respectively).
@warrensmith481
Жыл бұрын
Cool idea! When I first got she-hulk I was playing a very similar deck - but instead of stature I was using Miles Morales and a Nightcrawler (moved on turn 6). Only problem was the second copy of Miles does not get reduced by Quinjet. His affect of “cost 1” cannot be reduced further - it sets his exact cost to 1. It will likely be the same case with Stature, though the text is slightly different: “costs 1 if…” vs “if…this costs 1”. Still a cool concept, but I have strong feeling they will function the same way and all copies of stature will cost 1 after opponent has discarded, regardless if Quinjet is on field with a copy of stature in hand.

Let's see what my opponent did..... oh look they played Kang, how interesting.
Can't wait to see a 2 minute long Odin Wong combo happen then a lockjaw at the end of the long animation sends a Wasp into the deck and out pops Kang to restart the turn so we can all watch it again.
I think kang can be a good set up for leader to get an idea of what your opponent wants to do and what lane or lanes they want to win, not to mention the mind games involved with using him
5:50 Black Bolt 5/8 - "He has 8 power which isn't 'terrible' for a five energy card..." 16:19 Modok 5/8 - "He has a really nice base power at 8 power. That's a really quite competitive for a 5 cost card. "
Kang is awesome if it is paired up with daredevil, seeing your opponent's last two turns is huge. Another aspect of the card that not many people talk about is bluffing and stealing wins potentially. You get to see how your opponent plays out turn six and in a tight game you can bluff that you have the answers to whatever they do, especially if you have priority going I to turn 6. Once I get him I'm definitely going to experiment with him.
Ghost: comes out Killmonger and Cosmo: let us introduce ourselves
Great video as usual. Thanks for the great Kang explanation!
I think that Kang’s strength is not what’s so great about him, it’s how flexible he is. There are very few decks that are severely hurt from his inclusion so if you have any sort of counters on turn five or later, he’s worth a consideration.
I think having new cards that are not suddenly the new broken meta is important, a side improvement versus a flat out improvement compared to other cards can only help the variety you play against.
One thing about Kang that I haven't really seen people talk about is him in lockjaw decks as effectively a mulligan, if there are say 3 cards that you REALLY want to hit from lockjaw, but you don't feel like there is consistency in that, you can put in Kang, and on top of playing him normally for information advantage, you can also pull him from lock jaw instead of X other card you would have ran and have a higher consistency and hitting the specific drops you want.
I was doing Wong into black bolt it was funny seeing people's spider man and shang chi with Zambu discounting them
the biggest issue is the -1 card advantage you get right, so most probably a very combo oriented deck would actually find value in running it
Ghost would be great for my C2 deck with hazmat and Luke cage. A lot of times I have priority and hazmat only hits invisible woman..
I don’t know if you do this but I would love for you to review my snap deck. I have been on a tear almost got me to infinite. I think it might be one of the best decks in the game.
Wonder if kang will find a home in galactus, they sometimes wave the glactus out early or even if its just turn 5 with electro, they could kang to see if you had your cosmo etc. to counter them.
Might be fun to viper ghost over to your opponent to insure you have priority if your deck really benefits from that
Really enjoy your content!
Kang at 5 seem's really cool, when I first heard about the card I thought I would be a 6 cost, and there I think it's dumb and boring, but at 5 cost it can be played on two different turns and has some skill expression in it's use
I would like to think Kang in the next America Chavez, its a great way to thin deck. Assuming that if you have/draw on Kang turn 4 , you played Kang on the same turn, on reveal effect occur than you draw another cards that not Kang on turn 4 (that have been reset).
What if you play Kang in cloning vats? Where when you play a card you add a copy to your hand. Could you stall the game forever?
Black Bolt + Stature is effectively a 6/15 which is not bad at all... You combo it with an Aero on the last turn, and you have 11/22 with the Aero disruption. I think this could work pretty well. I'd like to try this out.
HELLO im french, la carte reviens t'elle en main après son effet ? Bien dans le deck Négative . Tanks !
Kang in a Mr Negative deck could be interesting, throw in an absorbing man somewhere and that could be the start of something spicy 🌶
can stature work with zoo deck?also sad i gonna havta pay for ghost....certain staple now :(
Kang is going to save people a lot of cubes... "Got your combo piece? Welp, can't overcome that..." *retreat*
It’s probably going to be actual years until I get him, but I can’t wait to play a Kang/Hela deck, just for the absurdity of it.
@thaddeusgenhelm8979
Жыл бұрын
... So you want to show your opponent that you're resolving Hela, and then undo the turn so they have a chance to respond to it? That kinda feels like anti-synergy =P Also, since Kang will erase himself from your deck (IE: if you played him as a top deck, you'll then draw a different card) he probably erases himself from the discard pool too so infinite Kangs is probably not a real thing.
Does everything reset for the turn with Kang? Like everyone's on reveals are undone, and any other hand changes are reversed, if I lock jaw him out? Also I wonder if kang makes leech more popular again
@PenitusVox

I was thinking about Sunspot soaking up energy, too. One energy on turn 6 probably wouldn't be a game changer but some games DO come down to it.
do we know what happens with the cubes count when a turn is reset via Kang? would feel really strong if the snap would also be reverted when the turn is reset but from reset i would assume so that would be essentially a free scare/bluff for the player who is aware that a kang will go off

It's like you suddenly have limbo, the snap still the same. When you start to turn 7.
What I want to know is what happens if you draw kang on turn 5/6 and play him that turn. Do you just draw a different card in your deck ? If so kang becomes even better and maybe even a staple in most decks I think
Just wanted to point out that using Kang on turn five could increase stability for decks that focus on turn five being important and rely too heavily on having to draw daredevil… for things like klaw, professor x, and hobgoblin.
Glad you enjoy Marvel Snap.
I just had a thought! You repeat the turn without Kang, but not without ABSORBING MAN!!!
Added shuri to my turn 4 if Dracula isn't drawn to dbl modok ,then drop my big apocalypse been pretty happy w it, gonna swap in taskmaster to see if win rate improves.
I’m curious how well would hang work with a Mr negative deck? 😮😂 that’s a 0 cost kang
In a control/reactive shell with Daredevil, Professor X, and Kang, you have perfect information on your opponent's turns 5 and 6. If the deck plays high-tempo low-energy cards and reactive pieces (like Shang-Chi or maybe even post-nerf Leader), the deck might have legs and be very annoying.
I’m loving that Kang is getting more spotlight and conversation!! I’m ready for this card to come out already 👏👏👏🥷
For Kang. When you start the turn again do you draw? It's after draw phase I assume. If not it's another deck fixer card a la Chavez that refines your draws by eliminating 2 draw options.
@KaiserTheDarkWolf

unless you draw kang in that same turn you will draw the same card you draw at the start of that turn. Basically if you play him on turn 5 your hand will restart to turn 4 minus Kang. And draw the same card you draw that turn 5, except if is Kang.
@RegisKillbin based on how Ghost ability do you think it counters Kang? I would assume Kang will be able to see your cards face down without revealing what card you have since ghost ability says you will always reveal last. Giving no info on what cards you're using
Kang sounds fun but tedious, either way tho, his use will be to check if the enemy has their turn 6 play then surrender if they do.

Kang should be a good at a deck with all zero power + cerebro. right? And a good add to mister negative deck
Kang lockjaw sounds fun to me. it also removes a slot, similar to America Chavez right? So it gives you knowledge consistency, and kind offor that deck? Am i understanding the math right?
Ghost with Ultron incomming!!!
What about kang with lockjaw? How’s that work
I have a question.... So what would happen if you play a card like hood... U get a demon in your hand which puts you at full hand... When kang comes out would it strip the demon out of your hand ? Or would it leave it and try to put hood back on your hand?

what will happen with kang + wong + kamar Taj?
How many time i can play Kang at last turn?
I think Stature runs well with Devil Dino decks, moon girl her to get more, play black bolt on turn 5, and turn 6 stature and a devil Dino Sure double devil is more valuable but she can’t be destroyed by shang so it could be helpful in that regard
I'm really glad MODOK feels a bit lower power than our last two Season Pass cards, because it means he doesn't need to be nerfed! It's SS and Zabu who were the issue (too powerful), where MODOK is just right. (And speaking as someone running Draculock, MODOK is bae. Goodbye, Hell Cow!)
In my opinion, Ghost is going to be really powerful, especially for that cost. It has so much potential upside. But it being an Ongoing ensures that it can be countered at least.
Is a Kang worth the 6000 tokens over a Galactus or Thanos?
What about ghost viper for the reverse effect
I think at the high end of play Kang is the most useless card in the game. Coming from other card games with effects that just outright let you see your opponent's hand I can tell you they see zero competitive play. Why? Because they don't do anything. You're wasting a card to tell you information that you should already know from playing the game. Your opponent ideally will make the best possible play in any given situation to win the game. You should already have an idea as to what they're going to play and where whilst running Kang just suddenly removed an option from your hand. At the low end of play I think new players will freak out when they see Kang and try to 5head mind game their opponents, lose, and then complain online how overpowered the card is.
I have 6k tokens ready for Kang, he is a must buy and a must play.
im already infinite this season, but next one, i wanna try to rech infinite with moon girl, miles, shehulk, titania n stature
I’m wondering how Kang will work with snapping. Does he undo the snap? Let’s say they snap on 5. Can I use Kang to see their big move without committing to the extra cubes?

Ghost will do great with turn 6 shang and zabu decks

I think it would be funny to use Kang in a Negative deck, but just for shits and giggles.. Would make it so you technically have an 11 card deck.. If you play him turn 5. Not sure if that would be the best use for him.. but I can see him being alright for a turn 6 reset also. Specially if you aren't sure what opponent might do!
Pool 5 Meta is about to get funny: Kang, Kang, Kang - Kang Kang Kang
I’m think Kang will feel bad for a majority of the player base. It’s going to be series 5 and pay to win mostly which is fine, but i think that will result in a bad feel for lots of players
