Shadow King can stop so many things. Starting with 2 power there is: Wong, Brood (Anything that would work for Silver Surfer), Invisible Woman, Electro 1 Power there is: Patriot, Luke Cage, Rogue, Sandman 0 Power and less is where it gets big: Cerebro, Mystique, Iron Man, Dracula, Goblin/Hobgoblin, Hood, Void from Sentry, Anything they are stacking for an Odin (like Ironheart, Gambit, White Tiger) your Mr. negative, Debrii rocks Another big point is all the locations that reduce power Not to mention it also gets rid of most Infinity stones, Scorpioned cards will be likelier to destroy, and all the smaller cards your opponent played throughout the game.

Loki with agatha would be so fun, probably so many free cubes

@@paulakroy2635 he was a thing in hearthstone for a single turn but it was nerfed because you could use it with lethal onboard and basically guarantee that your opponent couldn’t stop you killing them the next turn. I imagine this effect won’t stay, swapping hands is super broken because you can just make yourself a super awful deck and use him to win the game handily (Agatha)

Master Mold seems like it might work with Darkhawk. If you fill your opponent's hand and they cannot draw the next turn, that's +1 card in their deck.

add black widow and wave and you just lock their hand. being unable to play more than 1 card, sentinals keep coming back. Ronan and Odin finish off? seems pretty powerful combp and fun to me

@Cristo Alba card flavour refers to the character the card has vs the comic or lore accurate character. For example Mephisto doubling your winnings, meaning he is giving you more than what you need and desire. But in giving you what you want, he takes from you as well by being 0 power 6 cost.

Shadow King seems a decent counter to Hobgoblin and Green Goblin. Can’t wait to see when they get released and hopefully a better way to obtain them.

Loki would definitely be interesting as a way to make snapping early very risky. Normally people snap if they have their win condition in their hand, and if you have a way to steal their win condition, that makes them think twice about it.

I think a fun Loki deck would be a bunch of low cost cards including Quinjet and collector. Your goal is to empty your hand by turn 5 and then play Loki. Have America Chavez as a guaranteed 6 drop.

Shadow King is interesting. Seems like a direct counter to things like the Goblins with negative power. I also see potential in reshaping certain destroy decks. Shadow King can get rid of things like The Hood, Bucky and Nova to name a few. Instead of putting all of these low cost cards in the one lane and destroying later, you could build big power around these cards and destroy them last turn without harming the big power cards.

Shadow King destroying Patriot/Cerebro/Mystique etc. could be VERY useful

OMG Mephisto is exactly a card I was thinking they should add! I was thinking it would be some meta/fourth wall breaking character like Gwenpool or Slapstick, but that is so cool, love it. Thought it might give negative power but doesn’t matter in a negative deck.

I think him being Mephisto should mean you also double your losses, because making a deal with him doesnt only have upsides...

I think Shadow King's effect also destroys card with negative power in them so it could be useful for clearing up Mister Negative (which he also is awesome to use in), The Hood and The Void from Sentry.

Gorr could be used to make sure that you are able to get all of the cards that you need by putting 6 cost cards meant to be destroyed to cycle through your deck

Mephisto would also be great in the invisible girl -> MODOK -> Hela dream Also, the way Sauron is phrased likely means it will remove ALL text from every card with ongoing abilities. That means Electro would just be a garbage 3 energy 2 power card, while gigachad Ebony Maw would be a huge 1 energy 7 power without the restriction of being played before or on turn 3 Loki feels like a 5-cost effect to me, so I'm kind of expecting him to be a 5-cost on release. Also, because your opponent knows exactly what you got, they'll know to retreat or stay around, so Loki's probably gonna be a poor cube-winner. Love the card though, he's gonna be great fun when he releases

Loki + Quinjet could be really good, especially if you use Loki to leave them with little to no cards or some kind of other harmful state for them.

Ramp with MODOK + Loki would be hilarious. Discard your whole hand, "swap" with your opponent so that you get a full hand while they have nothing. I imagine you'd have a Hela hidden under Invisible Woman or something, too.

Shadow king with things like scorpion, hazmat and spider woman could be a good way to try and nuke your opponents board, just add things like Wong and Luke cage and you have a radioactive deck

Gorr in lore is the God Butcher. He set out on a mission to kill all the Gods in the Marvel Universe..... So I think the text is perfect. I can see him being a 4 or 5 cost.

Imagine if Mephisto works in exponential way. Imagine you get two Sinister Bars in one game and you Moon Girl your 0-6 Mephisto. Your opponent sees what you are doing, snaps and proceeds to throw game for you. You get 2048 cubes from one game.

If they have 4 in their hand, you could play Master Mold to prevent them from drawing for the Darkhawk synergy.

Gorr was awesome in the last Thor movie. I'd run w him for sure.

Shadow King also works as a tech card. If your opponent has initiative you can drop this guy at the last turn and destroy Mystique combos. You can also take out Iron Man and Patriot, 3 very powerful cards that are often easy to read. If you have initiative you can also counter Wong shenanigans. I think it's pretty strong .

Shadow king can be super useful in a deck that utalizes hazmat and luke cage, spider woman, it also kills iron man, as well as hobgolbin or green goblin if the opponent uses those against you, also kills rocks, squirells, cerebro, white tiger, wong, storm, electro, brood, etc. seems like a card that can be insanely powerful if pulled off with the right combo and against the correct matchup

Head scratching with the shadow king but maybe it would work with something where you have to identify the lane they are gonna power stack and then build up a separate lane and use him in hopes for the 3rd lane being their weak cards (maybe spending time reducing their power with spiderwoman and the like)

Shadow King would be used in a HazMat deck with scorpion etc, but the issue is that sometimes your opponent's cards on field turns to negative values which means SK would be helping your opponent

for Master Mold you could add him to a dark hawk deck, maybe youd have something like wong to add a possibility of 6 sentinels to their hand if they happen to play a deck that would empty their hand quickly like Zoo and on the off chance you fill their hand with all 6 they could only play one non sentinel card a turn and would slow down their draw so more buffs to dark hawk

Shadow King seems like a whole new archetype for destroyer decks imo. A way to destroy the hood, bucky, or the void if you don’t draw destroyer or need to win a specific lane. Seems interesting for sure.

Destroyer is so far from shadow king it's not even funny. Destroyer is a closer card. While shadow king is purely situational

I can’t think of what type of deck would use shadow king, but I can think of scenarios where he could be useful, like if you have a nova, your opponent has an iron man, or if you have a negative card(like hobgoblin) on your side

Snap players always need to remember that just because a card is very powerful they should not be 6 cost with 0 power because you always have to remember that Mister Negative can abuse any 0 power cards. Shadow King would probably work on a Luke Cage+Hazmat deck. Hazmat on a simple wong combo or with absorbing man combo can make many cards reach that 2 power or less. Then Shadow king destroys them all

I have to admit something, I’m never able to finish your videos, but that’s mostly cause I get hyped to the point that I want to play more Snap

We also got to remember some of these cars are coming out for next season and that's why we can't make sense of it right now when it comes out but when the new season comes out there's going to be cards to go with that one funky card

I could see master mold working in a collector deck too. Turn 2 collector, turn 3 master mold, turn 4 Loki+moon girl (may be unnecessary if they have a full hand), turn 5 Sera

Shadow King can be great in some scenarios. Super controlly card. Kills goblins on your side or stuff like Iron man, cerebro / mystique, whole Wong package with iron hearth and white tiger or even gambit if you reveal first, before Odin comes down.

Quinjet and loki could be good since you'd get a permanent discount on cards

7:18 I think this combo would be quite powerful. Before turn 5: collector and master mold Turn 5: dino and loki Turn 6: 3 sentinels (9 power) plus an extra 3 from collector's ability and all of this without decreasing dino's power.Not to mention you disrupt the opponent's turn 6 play. You can also use bishop to get +3 power.

A few of these cards are really awesome! I LOVE Loki, and now I’m seeing Gorr. I like that effect ALOT!! But for the Shadow King a super toxic deck would work! Using cards like Scorpion, Spider-Woman, Hazmat to lower their attack stats. Then play him turn 6? Master mold! Is sick, ruins discards and other decks that rely heavy off cards in the deck so 4 cards is a bit to work with. He can work well tho with black widow or iceman after! As for Loki? I’d just play my best decks (prolly SuperDiscard) then play him and steal my opponents hand.

Mastermold would be pretty disruptive. Yes you give them sentinels, but also its pretty much impossible to remove the sentinels from their hand, since they just get replaced when played, you can restrict their ability to draw cards kind of like black widow. imagine using with wong when their hand is pretty empty, you are basically locking their hand up with sentinels.

I think the whole point of Master Mold is that unless you discard the Sentinels, you literally cannot get rid of them because every one you put down another replaces it😂

Shadow King mainly counters Patriot / Toxic decks because it would technically kill the weak ongoing cards keeping their combo together (Luke Cage, Patriot, Mystique, Iron Man). But yes, very narrow.

4:29 I went from 30-91 so far with Mr Negative/Surfer for 95% of games. Already a cube stealer, now top decking Mephisto is ez 16 cubes. If negative on 3, then drawing negative 2/3 Ironman, Zola, mephisto is ez 32 cubes as mentioned. Talking less than 5% of time statistically and easy to see coming, but with insane high roll and good addition to make 8 cube steals 16, I’m stokeddddd. Saving collector tokens for sure

Gorr says destroy, so now I wonder how good that plus Knull would be. (If he’s not a 6 cost). Which now that I think about it it would be a cool synergy that makes sense. This because the two characters are actually connected in the comics. That sword gorr is holding, is I believe of Knull’s creation. Edit: I’ve just realized that gorr would end up destroying Knull aswell. But that really depends if he destroys cards in hand and in deck or just the ones on the board.

If you wave and play Gorr with a 4-power Knull in hand, you might be able to keep Knull. Going off that logic, Sera could save Knull from being destroyed as well. Idk if that would actually work though.

@@BN-sf2xj 6-Cost cards would ignore modifiers like Wave. Cards that cost 6 would take into account the modifiers. To play Knull and Gorr you'd need to Armor, Wave, Knull into Armor lane and then Gorr

Since he is 0-cost, you Can probaly play both on the same turn. Gorr flips first and destroys and then Knull flips. I dont think it will destroy Knull if he is on the board unflipped

You also could run Nick Fury Play gorr First and then Hope For knull and even a Lucky Agent 13 could generate a knull after a gorr event

Master Mold is hilarious cuz if the opponent plays a Sentinel out, it'll just put another one back.

Shadow king is a tech against cerebro decks (patriot too?) Since he'll kill the big buffers in patriot, cerebro, mystique and thus dropping all of the buffs

I could see Shadow King being a counter to Patriot or Mystique. Master Mold you could run with a Dark Hawk, Ronan, Negative deck

Black Widow with Master Mold is nuts for No hand draw strats.

For Shadow King, the only thing that maybe makes sense is trying to Wave him out early against a Cerebro 2 deck, before they drop their Cerebro combo.

shadow king can be used as counter to patriot / seribro decks and can do some power play distroying goblings in your side of the bord

Shadow King straight counters Cerebro 2 killing both Mystique and Cerebro and most of their board depending on how the trigger stacks.

Shadow King would go great in a Hazmat deck

With gorr I feel like you’ll be able to make your deck as small as you need to. So you can put the pieces you need in your deck then just play gorr get rid of your 6 costs and theirs. So you can draw the cards you need. I feel like this could open up some very specific cars combos. So maybe this card will be more useful for you maybe not your opponent

Shadow King seems fun with Hazmat+Luke Cage combo, destroying your opponents cards

You could build around Hazmat, then Shadow King would have a much easier time cleaning the board.

A cool combo I thought of when I saw Loki was Max into Loki. You play a 'Zoo'ish deck and vomit your hand out in early turns then on turn 3 or 4, you play Max followed by Loki so Max is more like a 3/7 YOU draw 2 cards.

Alright let’s start with Loki, i think he is busted, could be really good in a Kazan type deck as well, just dump your hand and play Loki .mephisto just seems like a meme card to me, like it may have play, but might need a little power at least . Master mold just seems too underwhelming to be a 3/3 . Now think about using Sauron to remove cosmos ability and then playing an aero to move to cosmo location to win . Shadow king just has dope art lol . And omg I have wanted gorr in this game since I’ve heard of it, one of my favorite villains and it has a pretty decent ability, love control . But yeah really interesting and fun cards, nice little discussion video for some new cards . Keep it up man .

Shadow King seems pretty good to me as a counter to Wong, Patriot, Mystique, cerebro, Iron Man or even before an opponent plays Odin if there is a wong+Iron heart/Gambit/silver surfer/lockjaw

Off the top of my head, Shadow King could take out electro, and because of his effect could get out on turn 5, but that doesn't seem very useful when you could just use enchantress.

Mephisto into bar sinister feels illegal if the doubling stacks. That's 128 cubes for a single game and doesn't even take into consideration of other ways of putting down more of him like sinister London.

Shadow king seems like a good counter against PatriotsCerebro decks with Ultron. Gorr seems scary, cards like armor might become more meta.

Master Mold and Loki also works with The Collector, getting a whole bunch of power collected plus more with sentienal drops

Shadow King - Patriot, Cerebro, Mystique, IronMan are the big ones I think of. Still doesn't seem mind blowing, but I can see it having a spot in the future if the stars align.

Master Mold could work with Ronan AND Darkhawk. Korg Rockslide to add cards to their deck and black widow to stop a draws with master mold helping keep their hand full

Master mold w/darkhawk you keep their habd full at 7 so they cant draw cards, either forcing them to play their counter play cards early like cosmo or kilmonger/empress ect...then you hit em with the "you still have 12 cards in your deck"

master mold has synergy with ronan AND darkhawk since you’re probably stopping draws. great 3-4-5 punch!

Gotts insane with lock jaw you can clean out your and your opponents decks and shoot out 5 drops. thor and jane and leech and Aero, there’s so many good combos

Master mold might be a crazy combo with loki. Imagine with sinister bar master mold will be triggered 4 times, and before that you want to have to empty your hand so you switch hand with loki then master mold then they can't draw or play anycards except sentinel lol

Loki seems so troll. You create a deck with a bunch of high cost or terrible cards, and switch on turn 3, 4, once their hand becomes fuller. Also possible synergy with collector + quinjet.

If Mephisto is added and can stack think about how broken it could be with cloning vats, sinister London or bar sinister

Easy fix for Gorrs Strenght would be to give each player for each destroyed card something.

Gorr seems really good with devil dino, especially sine it kills your chavez, giving you a draw on turn 6

sauron says it removes the abilities from ongoing cards, not just removing the ongoing effects. so I assume this means you could play ebony maw on turn 6. or maybe marvel snap is inconsistent with the writing again

Nah they actually have anti synergy cuz opponent can play sentinel which really doesn't matter if their abilities have or not also sentinel is a decent option to play when you get leeched, plus now opponent can get rid of sentinel without having worry about them summoned again back in hand

@ahshhddhhdhdhdhdshehe That's why I said on turn 5. It doesn't matter if they can play sentinel without the ability if it's on the last turn. The point is to gum up the opponent's hand for all of their draws, which it would do as long as they are only leeched on the next-to-last turn.

shadow king could work against wong/ patriot, cerebro, but for wong you would need initiative turn 6. seems okay to me but not obvious how it would be really powerful

If Gorr hits hand and deck, Ramp is the place to be and play this turn 5, with more 5 drops to follow up

If gorr were a 0 0 with that effect that would be so many fast cubes. Play gorr then after you see their 6 cost get destroyed you snap and they’ll almost definitely retreat.

It would be interesting if shadow king would destroy cards that were buffed but originally 2power, specifically cerebro2 decks

Also, play Shadow King with stuff like Wong + Spider-Woman and Hazmat for some juicy boardwipes

if you played quinjet and then uses loky all the cards that comes to your hand costs 1 less, that can be good, maybe if you play master mold turn 3 to later use devil dino turn 5 finishing with a loki so you'll get a bunch of 1 cost cards that can be played to fill the gaps and since they come back devil dino wont lose attack, its like 9 free attack for the cost of only 3 energy, it can work out somehow, maybe if you have the collector played its at least a +6 between the traiding of the 3 sentinels and playing them turn 6, adding it all up its at least a +15 turn 6

Loki with modok, play both in the same turn so you discard your whole hand then swap hands with your opponenet and most likely deny them a good turn 6 play.

I could see shadow king being good against ironman/mystique
