If Quake got +1 when she triggers, it would validate it I my mind. 4 power only when triggers, but totally a roulette

If Crystal could just completely swap your hand instead of only giving you 3 cards (so you get 6 if you had 6 in your hand) I think she could work really well. Especially with Mr. Neg.

Punisher at a 3/1 with +2 per enemy card makes it a viable option in ongoing decks because it rivals wolfsbane and Maximus power of the opponent commits to that lane

A 3/9 sounds too strong but your opponent would have a full location so maybe it balances out in that regard.

Eh, I think I'd keep him at a +1 per enemy card, but make him a 3/3. In exchange for your opponent getting counterplay, Punisher would range from a 3/3 to a 3/7. At a 3/7 or 3/6, he'd be quite powerful, being comparable to Sword Master or Maximus without their downsides (unless you're playing a Discard deck for Sword Master). At 3/5, he'd be a pretty much worse Polaris, but he would still have Ongoing synergies. At a 3/4 or 3/3, he's be bad, but that's actually fine in exchange for the potential upside.

Quake would be neat if you could play her anywhere and she swapped the position of the other two locations. Maybe that would be too powerful but thematically it would make her feel like she's the epicenter of the earthquake.

I think it might be too good, but I think the biggest change I'd like to see to Angel is 'This card will never be in your starting hand'. You could still draw him starting from your first draw on turn 1, but it'd lower the chances of drawing him significantly and that way it'd keep the effect of him flying from deck, but you still could brick.

Black Bolt is going to become more playable/viable when Stature is released. I'm envisioning a lot of T4 Moon Girl with Bolt and Stature in hand then T5 Bolt for a 2/14 on T6 with 2 Statures being played out

If stature is the card I'm thinking of, I believe it says "if you're opponent discarded a card from their hand this game" which might mean that it isn't affected by any locations or your plays. It also means that Moon Knight would still work better anyway though because the way stature works right now a card can be discarded at any time and the cost is set to 1 for the rest of the game Edit: I just checked and black boots text does say "your opponent must discard a card from their hand" and Moon Knight says "discard a card from both players hands" so it is possible that they make it so that black bolt works and Moon Knight doesn't based on their respective texts.

@@Joshuiah Obviously we don't know for sure but I imagine it would work with either Bolt or Moon Knight (and Sokovia even). It wouldn't make much sense to me if it only mattered if they discarded something themselves Moon Knight would, theoretically, work as well but the risk there is discarding one of your combo pieces or even Stature herself; Black Bolt would be the safer play

Quake is a 2 cost. She doesn’t get effected by zabu. If you are talking about crystal then a future card that’s like mbaku where he give you an advantage from being in the deck would make her viable

Ngl these pod casts always reinvigorate my desire to play SNAP (not that I don't usually enjoy playing but sometimes I psyche myself out especially if I'm at the lower end of a rank tier and dont feel like risking falling down to the lower one). As usual great content and Iwill keep looking forward to this each week. I especially enjoyed the 'snap/retreat' segment since it's always good to hear stuff that reinforces the importance of knowing your win cons and the possible decks/plays your opponent may be using. Also it's very important to check your ego at the door when your playing since the mindset of thinking 'F you, I'm not backing down' in matches (especially when you don't have key cards and/or your opponent has a strong board presence) leads to so many wasted cubes (at least for me so I'm learning to be more level headed even if I'm a bit tilted at the time)

I've found that Hawkeye works really well in a Cerebro 3 deck.

Punisher felt like an Exodia card back in early Pool 2. The times I'd get crazy power with him on Onslaught's Citadel with Onslaught himself, that was a ton of fun. These days, though, he definitely feels underpowered. Even Onslaught sees very little play, since the meta these days is less about dropping a 6-cost on turn 6 and more about dropping two 3s or other things like that.

Another great video Cozy. Reminds me of when I waited until the end of DSA vids to get those extra nuggets of gold to succeed. Loved the decision game you guys played to snap or not scenarios. Definitely got some solid insight and would love a little more of that sometimes.

hawkeye actually works alright in bounce decks. Unfortunately bounce decks just don't have enough tools

What's wrong with Hawkeye? 1 less power than rocket or antman, but you can't miss and don't need to dedicate as many cards to the spot. I run him in my guardians deck to help steer opponent movement with a telegraph, and my cerebro 3 deck

even the best decks have like a 65% win rate so learning "cube management" and when to snap/when to retreat are the key to getting to infinite, I don't feel like you have to play against decks that are totally filled with OP series 5 cards all that often but that is def about knowing when to retreat....

Nice content as always buddy. I liked the last part where you guys simulate a situation where you snap or retreat. It could be great to do this with some images... like showing the image of turn 5 your cards in hand and on field before ask "snap or retreat?".It would be funier.

Only one thing i think tou guys couldve touched on, in the section about snap essentials to get better is, when alex was talking about pattern recognition and chess, its not just about recognizing what deck they are playing, specially because a lot of times ppl come up with their own combinations. So another form of pattern recognition that is super important to this game is realizing how likelly is your opponent to invest in a specific lane/location. Becase having them invest in a location you dont care about means you are basically going to win in another one. A lot of situations you can win even with a bad hand if you hold on to your cards to let them comit first, or realize, ok they are playing in this location, and go for the other ones and win the game.

At around 5:30 you talk about Angel being at the bottom of a deck, for a possible fix. I think that you're right. If he's always guaranteed to be on the bottom, a lot of people will use it for only that purpose, to get other cards... like America Chavez.

I've been playing a card/deck that has been killing it and it touches on a few points you guys made....Invisible Woman. She takes away their ability to accurately predict what I am doing and by doing so it allowed me to create my own meta. The deck I'm running with her doesn't utilize typical combos, but when I have her on turn, even without my key cards, she can still walk away with cubes.

Would be cool if when you do a new round of "current worst cards", if you ran back the old worst cards to see if they are still bad, or if they've changed due to meta shifts. One example I can think of is Adam Warlock, who people used to say was really bad, but now sees much more play

Please do more cases of snapping/retreating. It is the best way to understand when to retreat or snap

Something I expected to see but never got when mentioned, was a situation of whether or not to retreat. You talked about it, but I thought there'd be a screenshot of the situation. Anyways, I think it would be a great game between you two where you can debate and explain the best moves to make with a screenshot in the middle.

Everything you said Cozy/Alx in that last topic was so true. I joined your discord a couple days ago Cozy. Need people to play battle mode against. Unfortunately it's riddled with people down on themselves who feel like failures every time they don't "win" a game. People begging others to help them climb. People posting snap shots of a game end that you can clearly see they should have retreated from. I think this game is like chess. It's so much of recognizing patterns and being able to as you said Cozy, calculate your chances of am winning or if you need to retreat. Really solid advice there guys. Thanks!

In reference to the first topic. I think Wolverine needs a rework. They could reduce his power to 2. So he is a 2 energy 2 power base, but add to his existing text that whenever he is destroyed or discarded he gains a power then jumps to a lane

I honestly think he should just be Sabertooth Jr. Goes back to hand and costs 0. May be 'too good' to net yourself 7 free power if you get both to be destroyed but feels more coherent with Sabertooth considering their similarities and history. Netting extra points of power doesn't fit flavorfully with Wolverine either way. He doesn't get stronger every time he revives.

Changes I would love to see are quake's effect to "move locations to the left/right" maybe instead of shuffle and crystal changed to 4/5 or 4/6 and effect to "shaffle ur hand into ur deck and draw THE SAME number of cards"!

26:00 can confirm I got wrecked by a 1 cost zoo deck earlier today at rank 79. Onslaught into Kazar, blue marvel, Shana turn 6 won the game with 30+ power per lane

HI some question guys. Should i save up my collector cache until the next update? Will there be improvement in card drop rate in cache?

Possibly too complicated but what if Quake/Heimdall moved locations/cards left if you played it on the left lane or right if you played it on the right lane?

Regarding Elektra, I play a ton of decks that out sunspot out early and often on Mojoworld. I save elektra for end of game to blow out the sunspot. Usually even a misty knight kill against patriot on turn 6 can win you a game because people tend to avoid building other lanes. Just my experience but it’s worth paying attention to.

My favorite early snap is when I'm playing negative and turn 1/2 the peak shows up. I have that happen today and had a 60 power iron man mystique lane without any 9 power cards so no shang chi counter it was amazing

This last section was fun, but it would be better with visual aids showing the board state. Maybe starting taking screenshots of interesting board states when the opponent snaps and discuss those?

Using Black Bolt as per Alex's theory craft for the Mine Location/Death battle. Starting to like it versus Surfer and Dracula decks that expect to hold just 1 card

Something that might make Crystal a little better is make it so you cannot draw the same cards you already had in your hand? That way if you have a poor hand you can reliably draw 3 different cards to find that combo piece. The limited use I've had with Crystal I have redrawn 1 or 2 of the same cards I just shuffled in every time and it feels bad.

Simple change - Have her shuffle to the bottom of your deck so you won’t redraw them until you see everything else maybe even drop her to 3/4 as well, such cool potential but man does she need some work

I legit got my Death destroyed by black bolt yesterday, right after she hit 0 cost. I retreated immediately. I was in shock!

Possible idea for quake. What if she ruins the location she is played at and then switches the other 2 locations? Still situational but easier to predect how the locations will be after effect is played out

For Black Bolt. There is a new card coming out soon in the leak data that reduce it's cost if your opponent has discard a card last turn. Might not see tweak on Black Bolt before the release of this card

Change Quake to swap outside locations, Sandman to 5/3 and Agatha to play cards on curve (ie no more playing a 1-cost if you also have a 2-cost in hand on turn 2).

a card with more power based on your own deck size would be a neat idea. I think it'd have to be only +1 power, with thanos being in the game. Could be a cool idea to give more viability to thanos as well as a counter to darkhawk.

Darkhawk is the only pool 5 card I have so it’s amazing to hear how good he is got him at collection level 1000

I love Black Bolt, and yes he needs some help! Although he will be more viable with Stature coming to the game. But he is amazing with Wong, and have destroyed plenty of Turn 6 Silver Surfer/Patriot plays haha

They should add affiliations to the cards for different bonuses. Like, Sandman, you can only play one card unless it’s another sinister 6 card, then you can play more. Or Hawkeye gets an extra bonus for another avenger played on him.

It's cool that people playing Marvel Snap are getting into reading the books. The movies haven't really done the same. That's pretty awesome and I'm glad to have people to talk to about the books, lol.

I really love playing Quake, it's so much RNG especially during the mojo world hot location

What if Sandman was like a 3/3 but had text saying it can't be played before turn 4? Then you could get one more card in on turn four to help cement the momentum.

I feel like there’s a good combo with Moon Girl into Crystal to buff up your dark hawk. Zabu on 3 obviously. But the curve is a bit awkward. Sounds cool though 💯

So many people play Death Wave or run Killmonger that all 1-Cost Cards feel too risky, so the potential payoff needs to be to the level that it needs to be best-in-lass (like Sunspot). The only deck I run a card like Hawkeye in, and still end up feeling bad about too often, would be like a Cerebro 3 deck.

I was trying to experiment Hawkeye and Medusa with Beast and Falcon but even then it still doesn't feel right.

I’d love to see more lore synergy, like Strange and Wong, or Strange and Spidey, or Iron Man and the upcoming War Machine. I’d also LOVE to see more Tech or monster variants too just because I love the art from Tech-On, Monster Hunters, Tech Strike, Monsters and Monsters Unleashed comics.

Maybe what they could do with Sandman is to have it only affect the opponent and instead of locking them to only one card per turn, allow your opponent to play as many cards as they want but Sandman gains a certain amount of power for every additional card your opponent plays

So I use sandman a couple times in my deck but I also use killmongef to get rid of the 1 cost cards then use ghost rider.

Ooo also agatha could be adjusted to having +2 power each turn it stays in your hand

I think a 6 cost -2 power card with the power to share all power at a location to all locations would be pretty cool. Maybe make it the messiah from X-Men there are a lot of cards that mimic location abilities and I think it’s overdue. If the card is too op they can lower the power even more

Black bolt’s issue is that by turn 5 the lowest cost card in the opponent’s hand is more often than not, no longer relevant in the match. And if it is relevant (say against a zoo deck), then often there is a more optimal play (turn 6 killmonger possibly). At 5 cost the effect is mostly irrelevant.

Hawkeye can be played pretty well in a bounce deck if you can get the pull combos right

One card I feel that needs changed is Collector. It really doesn’t make sense that it isn’t gaining power from new cards being added to your deck unless it’s already on the board. It’s arguably unplayable unless you can play it on turn 2.

Yeah psylocke and negative in hand, turn 1 snap, and the turn 2 location is “cards don’t reveal this turn” or “cards cost 1 more this turn.” Both of these things have happened to me.

Statistically that is unlikely. If psylocke into negative gives a 60% win rate it will always be worth it to snap. It’s just basic math

I got a good bunch of ranks with a agatha deck. Plenty of players out there have gotten to infinite with some agatha decks, i do agree withh the 15 power tho, she should be able to match destroyer since destroyers effect can be disabled while agatha only with good luck and good draws can you rly play her effectively.
