adicats : Uh tanks ... only? Pretty much you name it from WWII and the Germans were style masters. Kind of difficult not to when people such as Ferdinand Porsche were designing various vehicles. And then a great deal of the uniforms were designed by Hugo Boss. No matter what the Germans always "looked" incredible to me. And I know I am not alone in my opinion here :-) It was all part of the very effective propaganda machine they developed which I find fascinating to study all these years later. Unfortunately at the time all this led to the untimely deaths of way too many people.

@@maxsuarezmuller7186 this is a frankenpanther, a Panther g hull with Panther A turret. You see, when they switched to making G model, they still had a lot of curved mantlet, so they had to use it up before using the flat mantlet of Panther G. A more reliable way of telling if it is a Panther G is: 1. Check for driver’s vision port - Panther g does not have it while previous Panthers do. 2. Check for upper side hull slopping - Panther g has less side armor slopping to simplify manufacturing (thickened from 40mm to 50mm to compensate for the less slopping) 3. Check for the “funnel” on the left radiator fan - Panther g hulls have a taller radiator fan structure on the left compared to the right, it is used for heating he crew compartments. 4. Check for the shape of the exhaust pipe - Panther g hulls have a more fancy looking exhaust pipe and idk what benefit it brings compared to the plain ones on previous Panthers. Hope it helps!

I always wish a few with the "small turret" made it into action; so I could build a model of one. The small turret had 60mm side armor; and a King Tiger style mantlet. It weighed the same as the regular turret; which had 45mm side armor. Russian anti-tank rifles were able to penetrate the 45mm armor. The Panther II would have been even more super cool. The Fort Knox Panther has that suspension system; seven wheels per side, and a new track.

Or not, because the infamous unreliability of the panther tanks was caused almost exclusively by saboteurs tampering with the final drives by pouring sand inside and not adding grease to bearings. The G variants, with a built in governor and tighter security in the production plants, were much more reliable.

Fantastic rev. that v12! The ones they drive in Bovington they pamper, first gear only and no more then 1500rpm. But hey, if i spend several 100K on restoring i probably would be gentle too. Fantastisch die Leute haben kein Angst und fahren vollgas, nicht so wie in Bovington, nur 1 Gang und nicht uber 1500upm. Wann gibt es wieder eine vorfuhrung beim WTD?

It could be the A version with the Hydraulic Motor powering the turret's Traverse, which could increase its rotation speed depending on the Engine RPM
