Most main riders except Drive have motorcycles. However, due to newer, stricter laws in Japan regarding modified bikes, Kamen Rider can't really film using them on public roads, so there's either lots of CGI or very little bike action in the shows. Hence while you'll find lots of early shows using the heroes' bikes on the streets and during fights. And a quick rule of thumb, the more light-hearted a kamen rider series seems at the beginning, the darker they tend to be towards the end, Gaim is a great example of that.

3:28 "It's not pink. It's magenta." -Decade whenever someone says he's pink Yes, Kamen Rider is darker than Sentai. Dark means in terms of story. No matter how colourful they paint the suits or how goofy they look, you can still see the hope and despair in the story.

this is justt base form for the main kamen rider(usually show have 1-15++ riders), the riders have multiple forms, and final form, 1 main rider usually have 3 to 10++ forms till the final upgrades, there are female riders too

Most of the transformations in this video are from the first time they transformed some are not the first time the rider transformed in the series like in the clip for W but few of these clips are from the second time they transform like for Den-O

I second that. Build is just nothing short of amazing, it stays consistently good throughout the season. It's the safest series that I can recommend to ANY watcher. The 2 episodes are uploaded in the official toku KZread channel of course subbed as well and it starts off pretty strong to get you hooked.

For the comment in the beginning. It's a show that still meant to appeal to kids. And Den-O was one of the reason that they made the most money with as they had many cross-over films with Den-O with the other riders.

6:50 in the showa era (1971-1996) they used bikes way more cause they had a sponsorship from Suzuki, and the seasons had practical effects so they were cheaper to do fight scenes on bikes, from Kuuga onward, the bikes and fights have become more CGI heavy, so they don't use their much almost at all, the only exception is Drive, who used his car a lot, W (half green half black) uses it a bunch too since it's tied to his powers

Another reason we see less bike now is because of the current bike law make it very limiting on what they can do, at most they could do slow car chase now

3:20 Kamen (仮面): Ka() means fake or temporary and Men () means face. It literally means fake face or temporary face, which can also be translated as *mask* So kamen rider means "The rider with mask" or in other words *Masked Rider*

I think you're going to love watching Kamen Rider in general, a lot of shows tend to have both a ton of humor/jokes but also some good suspense and gritty stuff, and a few times, might make you cry from the drama. Most of the Riders you see , if you don't like their suits, chances are, you're going to grow to like them over time because of how charming the shows are XD Also, someone posted incorrectly about what the word, "Kamen" means. Ka- = Face -Men = Mask Kamen + Rider = (Face) Masked-Rider. Den-O is extremely well loved due to the wholesome and tear-jerking parts of the show, but also how funny and hilarious their characters are. Its chock full of famous japanese voice actors who are also present in Anime, such as Jiraiya from Naruto (he's also Emperor Charles Britannia from Code Geass). The older Kamen Rider Black RX from the Showa era from the 60s to 80s, had a red car vehicle. Drive and W both have cars but they're mostly for transportation, Drive's theme is cars, I believe he is the only Car themed rider. W does use a bike, but the giant car vehicle is to transport 'accessories' to switch 'attack modes' for the bike, such as flight, or water battles.

Fourze/Gentaro looks goofy, but he's my favorite protagonist because he's a real stand-up dude who wants everyone to be friends and the finale to his series is probably the only one I actually cried a bit at. There's a lot of heart in it. Highly suggested.

yeah, which is also why they introduced his final form that early, it worked due to the show's narrative, but out of universe, it was because the Main suit was starting to cause physical problems to the suit actor

Fourze has an astronout design so the suit look like the material used on space suit..

This video is about main Riders and there hasn't been a female main Rider yet, but there are female riders in some of the seasons, there a video about female kamen risers henshin and finishers you can check out after this

I see you hating on fourze but the show was supposed to be more serious and darker. The thing is that same year is when the big earthquake and tsunami happened so they changed the whole theme around. The show is still heavy and serious.

Looks are very deceiving with Kamen Rider if you think some are too jolly design-wise >w>

Ex-Aid (pink one) actually darker than it looks, it far from super sentai easy, per episode kill and win, it continuesly develop from episode to episode

Kamen Rider Fourze is meant to be a astronaut. Which is why there was a brief moment of his saying "Space is Awesome". Some Riders do have cars instead of Motorcycles. You just haven't seen them yet. And they do have Bike theme riders in Kamen RIder Drive. But they are more focus on the main Rider as they had to customized the car on their own before they started airing the series. But you will have to watch the series to find out why. Don't Knock it until you try it. Most of these are their first time transforming and it's good because it's a way to keep your reaction neutral instead of spoiling you to a certain point in the story. Transforming while they get attacked do happen. But they don't have the proper transformation transition shown if they were to be added into the clips. Which is why you don't see it added into the mix. All the Kamen Rider series have always had a dark theme to it. You will have to watch them first to understand the series.

This is what I hate about people reacting to just scenes and not knowing the damn context. Fourze? Lame? It is one of the best written seasons with some great forms. It Looks Rubbery? It's Supposed to be, The seasons theme is Outer Space and Switches. The suit is meant to resemble an astronaut's suit. He Doesn't know what hes doing? WELL DUH! It's his first time transforming and using the belt, and if you paid attention to detail you would notice He is a damn STUDENT, a KID, a HIGH SCHOOLER. Just Watching some scenes and giving BS Judgment is what Annoys me. You are entitled to your own opinion but atleast try to know the context.
