So for the question "Why don't they use those finishers at the beginning?" Well they have to weaken their enemies first to lessen the chance of them countering or dodging the finishers. Also, they're kind of like those "Finish him" moves in Mortal Kombat games, used to finish the fight in style

The biggest example is that when Zero-one was transforming the bad guy was actually trying to attack him only to be stopped by the giant mecha grasshopper....and all while he's in the process of transforming the grasshopper was jumping all over the place smashing what ever it lands on.....if it ware me, I'd rather wait then be flattened by that grasshopper before he even fully transforms lol.

The showa era riders, the reason they do the arm waving is that they are cyborgs and each movement is a sequence to unlock the transformation. The Heisei rider however relies more on their belts or henshin devices. The idea of Kamen Riders are that they uses the same power that they enemy used. Heisei Riders are the same as their enemies except they escapes from being brainwashed. Heisei riders however, some can become into their enemies if they used the belt too long. Some are halfbloods and some are the same as their enemies but living as a human.

They use a normal motorbike a lot outside their suit, but due to Japanese motorbike laws, it's been hard for them to use custom motorbikes in their shows. Basically, there are issues with using bikes while they're filming with the Kamen Rider suit on (since they aren't proper bike helmets) and for using custom bikes (since they don't just use one from down at a standard motorbike shop).

Random Fun Fact: The amount of screen time bike scenes get decreases over time for each new show. For reference these are both shows with the same episode length: Kuuga (The First Heisei Show): About 56 minutes through out the whole run of 49 episodes Zi-O (The First Heisei Show): Literaly only 47 seconds through out the whole run of 49 episodes Even Revice (Last Years Show) did not have a proper bike in favor for a CGI one to bypass the law, and they still did not use it much. Thankfully, it seems like the bike is given more screen time in Geats, the newset show.

Almost all Drivers (the rider belts) have a form of defense mechanism for the riders when they henshin which is shown mutliple times in all the shows as unlike Power Rangers that has stock footage for their morphing, Riders Henshin in battle.

theyve been alive for more than 50 years. as a company they must have a signature stuff for audience to remember thats why u keep seeing KICK, INSECTS, HENSHIN, etc. Bike stunt was limited starting in the 90's as to lessen the influence on kids. this compilations is just one of the scene that they "successfully" transformed. there is some episodes where they were interrupted in midst changing. its not as if they dont care about the perspective of the enemy but as a show if 100% of the times they keep getting interrupted while changing its gonna be a drag even if it was "logic".

For clarification, Kuuga aired in 2000, and the reason why the transformation looked like something from the 90s was because Japanese CGI wasn't as developed at the time. (Though as a fan I can admit that Kuuga despite being one of the best shows, has subpar CGI effects)

Kamen Rider Hibiki was interesting. The name translates to echo or sound, which is what all the riders use to defeat the monsters. The one you saw uses drums while others have different instrument weapons. IE: a guitar and a trumpet. When they are all together you get a nice song going. ;D

first episode henshins usually are flashy. now with regards to monsters not attacking them, later episodes usually enemies find ways to not let them transform like grabbing their transformation devices or attacking them outright. the heroes usually find creative ways to transform fast or do the dodge and transform. now regarding long and lengthy finishers, think pro wrestling when pro wrestlers do their finishers to end the match.

"It's just like Thunderbirds" It's EXACTLY like Thunderbirds. There's no puppets, and the effects are obviously much more advanced but both shows originate from the same general idea of special effect dramas through practical effects. Thunderbirds is even considered part of the genre in Japan and has a small but dedicated Japanese fanbase. As far as "Why don't they just start with the finisher" they're usually difficult to perform or costly (as far as power) techniques that require some set up so they have to usually beat up the monster first until it's been knocked around enough that it will be a sure kill. They occasionally try to pull out the finisher right away, and it usually never works when they do as it's blocked, or avoided. And if an enemy can just take the finisher straight on that's usually a sign that it's a really powerful enemy that won't take a single episode to defeat.

The main attack for Kamen Riders are their rider kick and it's usually the first move they use on the monsters not the last as you thought but they use other moves to weaken them first, however once they gain their other forms like their upgrade, super and final forms their attacks become more varied, their designs are also typically based on grasshoppers and other insects but some are different like kiva who is based on a jack o lantern, den o is based on a peach from Japanese legend, fourze is an astronaut in high school and Agito ( pronounced Agito with a g not a j sound😅) and ryuki were based on dragons, also the reason bikes aren't used much is due to bike safety laws in Japan that began around the 90s so the newer riders don't really use their bikes often for more than a scene in one episode with cg effects whereas older series had the bike used every episode, the hibiki series with the drums wasn't originally meant to be a Kamen rider series but it was given the name for more toy sales, which is why it was more different from the other shows and why you were probably confused but in that series they use instruments to kill the monsters.

@@superpowerddt Reasoning why is the monsters of that series, the Makamou or "Demonized Spirits of the Countryside" which is the translation, are defeated by instruments is because they are immune to physical attacks and so the Riders use Ongeki, which means sound attack, to fight them. The finishers are them utilizing their weapons, the instruments they use, to create "pure" sound to purify them.

kamen rider has always been big on selling toys, even during the showa era. Thats why they started leaning more into the belt gimmicks- It gave kids loads more great toys to mess with.

Kamen Rider Den-o is a interesting rider as he gets powers from being possessed by creatures called imagin that give him different personalities,Ryuki and blade are based on cards,kiva and wizard on vampires and magicians, Gaim on fruit, Ex aid is based around video games and doctors where the riders start at level 0 and have to level up to gain new forms and double is about two detectives who merge into one Kamen rider( which is why they have two half colors representing the two usb drives they use to transform, called cyclone and joker.

These eras are all named so because of the emperors at the time. Emperors Showa, Heisei and weirdly Emperor Heisei Phase 2(but Ithink there was a gap netween Phases 1 and 2?) and then Emperor Reiwa.

The fun thing about Hibiki is that he originally wasn't a Kamen Rider, hence why he doesn't use a belt. But it was drawn into the Rider series to sell more on the name, if I recall.

Kuga was in 2000, the lack of the bikes is do to one of the stunt man got killed and Japanese laws on how much you can mod them. so you dont seem them used much any more.

Actually, Decade's finisher is officially called the Dimension Kick, Final Attack Ride is just an activation announcement Kamen Rider OOO's name is O's, not Triple Zero. And his motif is based on animals that he uses their abilities to fight. Taka means Hawk, which is on his head, Tora is Tiger which can be found on his upper torso, and Batta is Grasshopper which is on the lower torso. Kamen Rider Fourze (For - ze) is based on space. You can tell that his helmet is the shape of a rocket. Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is based on video games and doctors, where the use of video game technology to treat patients and fight virtual virus

seems like youre a bit confused about the dates yeah the Heisei Era in Japan started in 1989 but Kuuga, from the year 2000, is considered the first Heisei and the revival of the franchise Shin, ZO and J are from the 90s but Toei considers them Showa, or rather Post-Showa Riders

It's the same as why Ultramen never starts off with their Finisher beam thing. For Ultramen, you had one shot, and if your foe dodge it, you'll have to either spend a whole day basking in the sun to recharge (which you don't have the luxury of) or you lose and the crisis doesn't get resolved. It's about the same for Kamen Riders too - like the who transforms using a cellphone, he only had one charge, if he misses he's screwed lol

If they started with the finisher at the beginning when the enemy isn't exhausted and can move easily then the attack wouldn't connect and they'll be left wide open to attack.

They should react to each of their transformations and forms since the motorcycles they mention come out more and they may understand a little more about what the series is about. xd

Hell I’m STILL burned at Toei over their year of Death in 2015、2021 and 2022 where They killed off in rapid Succession for every riders Especially Takumi (Faiz)、Tsukasa (Decade)、Fuwa (Vulcan) and most critically Eiji (OOO) in the special V-Cinema releases done that year.

@@saiyaujeff8171 That is because of the actors, since when they gain popularity they are called for other projects and they become more expensive. Also, due to age, it is difficult for anyone to have time or be able to accept reinterpreting their character, and with Decade's powers, if the actors are available, he can bring them from "another dimension". On the other hand, the one from Decade no longer has plans for him, I think, since there is Zi-O, but if at any time Decade is necessary and the actor accepts, he will return, and although it was sad that they killed Takumi uu, He is no longer young but he can return as X returned, which would be very epic. @@superpowerddt There are usually about Three to Four riders in each series and some have more than 15 riders since ryuki so yeah it's a lot,an even bigger ensemble than power rangers, the showa era series only had one or two riders, You'd think with that many the story would be all over the place with that many characters but it's done very well.

@@superpowerddt Was written by Gen Urobutchi, who is also known by the Anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" which takes the concept of magical girls and turns it into a very dark series. It is one of my favorites and a very dark one

Well if you want to see the motor bike they are in there but only in some finish and never use in most fight cus Kamen rider is mostly about finishing your fight with the powerful kick or weapon unlike super sentai and power Ranger which is a team finisher

also those were all the main riders of their own show their are secondary and third riders along with extra ones depending on the show you watch also most of the henshins were their first rider henshin a couple more things like i said in my last post they do see for kids rider drivers depends on the cost cuz older drivers can cost you a forute to have like i said i have one myself and i can send me useing it anyway in 7:07 of the video the reason for hibiki being differnt from other riders is that he wasnt ment to be a rider weridly enough but for some reason is apart of the canon of heisei if your asking for more of the monsters their monster of the week shows and offen change them so you will have to watch the show if you care about it

Hell I’m STILL burned at Toei over their year of Death in 2015、2021 and 2022 where They killed off in rapid Succession for every riders Especially Takumi (Faiz)、Tsukasa (Decade)、Fuwa (Vulcan) and most critically Eiji (OOO) in the special V-Cinema releases done that year.

This video is technically a compilation of the first ever henshin (transformation) on the season, so it is expected that the characters look a little damaged because they were literally trying to survive or do something against the monster of the week. About doing the Finisher at the beginning of any battle, in every season there's a reason stated of why not to use or do a finisher to the monster of the week, commonly related to the problem of the episode or a complex thing that requires more time to solve, every season has its themes and drama, and they have different ways to solve it. Also, the main technique of almost every Rider is the Rider Kick, taking in reference that Hoppers (the main motif of original Kamen Rider) are known to jump high thanks to the strength of their legs, so that was took in reference for the Rider Kicks.

Sadly on newer kamen riders doesn't Use bikes anymore they are mostly CGI sometimes Reasons because of Japans Law about Bike its Forbidden to customize their bikes and forbidden to ride a customize bikes on Road or any public places if I'm not mistaken But you get the idea
