The reason for the long build up is because most of these scenes are from their first appearances in their series respectively. Later episodes would show their more quick transformations.

For the most part you can jump into any Kamen Rider season, the only ones where previous ones are important are Decade and Zi-o.

Great reaction, Kamen riders have many forms like upgrade forms, super forms they gain during the middle of a series and the final form which is mainly seen during the last few episodes, not to mention that besides the main rider there are multiple riders in each series with their own forms as well, there's usually about three to four riders in each series of the heisei era and reiwa eras except the first series kuuga but some series like ryuki and gaim have about 13 riders.

Kamen Rider Double (W) is a good one to start. The one with two people becoming one rider. It's my personal fav n I keep watching it from time to time. It's just that good 😂 The rider series don't really relate to each other apart from the anniversary ones. So u can start from anywhere honestly. 👍

I'd say Decade is a good beginner's Rider as it introduces a lot of older Riders (though alternate versions) and doesn't spoil much if at all with only 32 episodes. Zi-O is a special case where you would have to watch most if not all of the Heisei era Riders to know what's going on as it acts more like a continuation of those seasons. So other than Zi-O, all of the Riders are their own stand-alone seasons. Sometimes they crossover, but usually it isn't too relevant and self-contained. Occasionally, movies are apart of some stories but not too heavily and usually is a minor note when addressing a character or power-up.

The good thing about Kamen rider is that most series take place in the same universe but are completely stand alone so you can watch any show on its own( excluding anniversary series), the early series like kuuga agito and Faiz are slow but more dark and the newer ones are more kid friendly and flashy but are still great stories like Gaim and Build.

also keep in mind this show inspired super sentai, the very first kamen rider shows came out around 1971 while super sentai started in 1975, super sentai also inspired its transformations and fight scenes and stuff from these shows.

As for to which Kamen Rider to start with, well anything aside for Decade and Zi-o as they are anniversary season and you need to have a bit of prior knowledge of the previous seasons to make a gist of some plot points. As for my recommendations Den-O if you want lots of comedy but with somewhat deep plot Gaim if you want twists everywhere Build for interesting storyline W if you want some detective stuff Ex-Aid if you love video games I'd love to have more of your Kamen Ride and Super Sentai reactions.

i feel like it's very silly to get into this fandom if the length of a transformation sequence is something that matters to you lol the appeal of the choreography and effects behind those are a large part of the tokusatsu genre as a whole, if someone can't deal with the tiny amount of suspension of disbelief it takes to accept shots and sequences like those not being interrupted, then this almost definitely isn't the genre for them, not even speaking of any specific franchise and that's not getting into the obvious, like how the full length of a transformation sequence obviously isn't played in the middle of combat unless it's to establish it for the very first time or it's a particularly emotionally resonant scene. otherwise it's always a much abbreviated version, because of course it isn't necessary to show the full thing every time, duh (it should hopefully be obvious that this is the case for example for Saber, which was just reading out the legend the Brave Dragon book was based on because it was the first time Touma became Saber) several other popular franchises take this approach from Kamen Rider, like magical girl anime, Pokemon, and several western superheroes both in movies and shows. then there's the sheer amount of henshins in Kamen Rider especially that outright interact with the world around them to lampshade this. you've seen several in just this video, like Blade launching an energy field to launch enemies away before running through it, or Zero-One only having a longer scene in this video because as i mentioned it's the first time but also you can see him summon a giant ass robot locust down to defend him while he logs in to his belt lol even the fantastic Geats, the current season, has someone whose henshin pours acid all over the ground around him and another whose henshin shoots homing bullets none of the newer henshins are very Super Sentai at all, i can't say that sentiment makes any sense to me. if any Rider henshins are like Sentai it'd be earlier Heisei era seasons like Hibiki, Den-O, or Double

(SPOILER ALERT) The W rider actually can transform with one people but with another driver( that's like transform stuff) called Lost Driver and the one they used called Double(W)driver and only the black one

If you want to watch on the newer Kamen Rider then you can start on Kamen Rider Geats, its the latest one and its at its 23rd episode atm

Early one actually didnt need to build up on some scene because that one you see was including fight scene

It's the anniversary ones that it's best to have a basic understanding of. Like watch a bit of kuuga - kiva before watching decade and watch decade - build before watching zi-o. You don't have to finish the entire series if it gets boring for you but watch a few episodes to at least get the gist of things like monster type or how the riders fight, etc. Personally I didn't finish blade and hibiki but I still know a bit about the plot since I watched about 20 episodes.
