Yeap, Movie does have some flaws .. but ..This Movie is first of its kind combining Indian Mythology with Futuristic elements .. Hatsoff to Nagaswin for his courage and selection of Casting ..... Our generation has just witnessed the masterclass of Previous generation legends like Amithab ji , and Darling Prabhas Rocks as usual.

I suggest the first time watchers to chill and dont get overwhelmed , watch the first half with patience and don't keep yourself reminding that it is slow nothing had happened it is slow ,brhu nothing had happened because there might something will be happening in the 2nd half so let that excitement out and absorb the movie so you will know the purposes for that slow build

Most people are impatient these days. I watched it yesterday and i was just soaking the dystopian world of the first half and got mind blown by the end of the movie, especially the post credit scene.

i too took the gateway drug that was RRR. i enjoyed the hell out of Kalki and didn't need a knowledge of the mythology to have fun. but i do now have a ton of questions.

It's actually based on Bhagwad Purana which mentions 10th Avatar of God Vishnu who will be known as Kalki. The unborn child in SU-M80 womb is Prophesied 10th Avatar who will end Kaliyuga (Worst times) and bring Peace to World again. Supreme Yaskin the main villain of this film used Lord Krishna's DNA who existed during 3000 BC when Mahabharata Happend. Yankin wants to be vessel of 10th Avatar so he could reshape the world in his own image. Hope this give some clarifications

Also Prabhas is adorably shy and humble and introverted in real life! 🥰 And apparently loves to feed people! And he looks like and can act like a macho man without actually being one? Swoon!!! I’ve watched Kalki 4 times already because Raia is my niece!! ! We are soooooo proud of her! But also both the interval climax and the end climax give me goosebumps like nothing else. They give me goosebumps when I even think about them! Having grown up Hindu, loving Hindu mythology as a child, and feeling jaded as an adult by the state of corruption, greed, materialism, powermongering and cruelty that already exists in our world today, let alone if let it continue for 800 years, this movie made me cry…like literal waterfalls were pouring forth from my eyes at the interval climax! Who doesn’t wish for God to return to save us from ourselves? Unfortunately I feel like that’s a metaphor and not literal. But I really hope this movie awakens the desire for tomorrow in all of our people…repadi kosam!!

@@adithyababu3217look up battle of the ten kings, maybe Mahabharata was not exact retelling of events but it is definitely possible that it was an actual incident from the past immortalized in the form of the Mahabharata. Reality is not black and white, it’s usually somewhere in the middle.

Kalki 2898 AD is the pride of Indian Cinema and Telugu Cinema. One word review: MINDBLOWING. Do not miss it at any cost. I hope Kalki surpasses every Indian movie produced so far including RRR and becomes the most successful Indian film. Absolutely mindblowing except some unnecessary cringe masala and cringe comedy with Bhairava in the first half. Kamal Haasan part is pure horror. The way they have imagined landscapes, environments, weapons, vehicles, powers, Mahabharata scenes is truly exceptional and spectacular. My one suggestion to Nag Ashwin is to explore the Complex society and the outside world more in depth because on the surface it looks like everyone is doing well enough even though they are starving for food, water, clean oxygen and they have just stuck some neon signs randomly on Indian alleyways and streets because that's how cyberpunk movies do it. Anyone who says it is merely a copy of Star Wars, Dune, Mad Max, MCU deserve to drink Kali's tears lol. Excited for Kalki 2 more than I ever was for Brahmastra 2. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone are good but Amitabh Bachchan is the MVP. Wow. Disha Patani's part is simply waste. Roxxie could have still been used to show Bhairava the luxuries and abundance of the Complex without that cringe song. Also, unnecessary writing mistakes like superhuman Ashwatthama suddenly not being able to lift Sumathi up should not happen. I wish they would give Shree Krishna better look. No yellow angavastram or armor or jewels or mukut. Just a white cloth and a head band makes him look like a Greek hero. Personally I would have loved to see Shree Krishna blue instead of fair-skinned or dark-skinned because that's how we all grew up watching him in all images. I wish they worked on young Ashwatthama's face better because it is honestly bad, looking like a video game character whenever he spoke with large Disney cartoon eyes. Red Chillies is right there! Deserves to be watched atleast twice. PS. For non-Indians and Karna (son of Sun God Surya) fans watching this, Karna was not more powerful than Arjuna. Karna is an antagonist and an adharmi in the Mahabharata who was jealous of Arjuna and committed many evil deeds and suffered for his karma and choosing the wrong side against the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shree Krishna. Period. But he is not a cheeranjeevi (immortal) like Ashwatthama. How has he reborn or reincarnated remains to be seen. Note that according to some, Karna pushing Arjuna's chariot back is a fake story and Ashwatthama surrendered the mani himself.

Prabhas anna🔥🔥🔥

Ashwatthama, portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan in Kalki 2898 AD, was outstanding. While I am not a fan of his body of work, I was truly in awe of his performance. However, I believe the de-aged Ashwatthama could have been more effective with Abhishek Bachchan in the role instead of relying on subpar visual effects. Hopefully, this is addressed in future films.

If you haven't seen his early works you really should, some of his best films includes: Deewar, Don , Muqqadar ka sikandar, Agnipath , sholay and Kala patthar. He was the boss of his time and still outshines today's actors

1) The city is Kashi it's in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh India, which is the Oldest and technically the 1st City of this world and going to be the last. 2) That opposite Pyramid shape thing is "Complex" there is no water left in the world except for Complex and it's beautiful from inside having trees and fountains and all. The main leader of Complex treats himself as a god is "Supreme Yaasin". 3) Kalki Avatar has not been born yet he's inside Deepika Padukone's womb, her name is Sau 80 (in Mahabharat mother of Kalki is Saumati and Lord Vishnu). 4) Prabhas as Bhairava is a Bounty hunter and he needs 1 million Units to live in Complex (Only Rich people can live in Complex) also Unit is the Measuring unit for the source of power to run the Nano technology they are using to run the weapons and the world (Unit is like Money 💰 for them). 5) As per Mahabharat we are in Kaliyuga and this movie is the end of this world Kaliyuga and a new world will start from here as Satayuga. 6) Ashwathama cursed by Lord Krishna and snatched his stone (Power source) during Mahabharat because he tried to unalive a pregnant women but in this movie by the end of Kaliyuga he got his stone back and he will save Sau 80 because she is going to give birth Kalki. 7) Bujji the A.I informed Prabhas aka Bhairava that a 5 star ⭐ bounty of 1 Million units can be received whomsoever catches Sau 80. So, Prabhas tries to catch Sau 80 to receive bounty to live in Complex and Ashwathama is trying to save Sau 80 and Kalki in her womb.

100 telugu movies?! Did you watch mayabazar(1956) converted into color? This is known as evergreen movie in telugu cinema. Its based on hindu epic mahabharata(like an extension of it). But this story is a folklore famous only in telugu and surrounding regions.

This film has a lot of pacing flaws. It tries to be too many things its not. But it has limitless potential. I hope Nag Ashwin improves on the flaws. Then it could be truly special.

You cannot mislead Mahabharata especially when you are making it for International audience. The starting scene where it is shown that an arrow about to hit Karna on his back is a misleading scene and overhype of a selfish character like Karna through the mouth of Shri Krishna is another blood boiling mislead scene😡 Nag Ashwin still in the hangover of "Daana veera shura karna" movie I think. This has to be changed. It took many efforts from our religious preachers to portray actual Mahabharata but people like Nag comes and destroy their efforts in a single shot. People just remember films and believe that is true especially kids will have huge impact in their brains. Very disappointing from Nag Ashwin. Sorry guys don't believe in this director's theory please, its not true. Karna is a negative character actually but here he shown him as a Hero.
