It's nothing more than a divisive term (to fuel tensions between minorities), and it's heavily biased because the standards for Asian immigration are so high, you're literally getting the top of the top academics/talents so ofc it's gonna be biased. You have one of the candidates pledging to be an authoritarian leader. On the other side the only argument you hear is I'm here 5o fight for democracy but look the other way while I send billions in aid to a country whose committing ethnic cleansing. Joe Biden is a weak candidate. I never hear him talk about what he plans to do in his second term. There's no vision or passion there except to just stop Trump. Okay? Well, are you going to do for the American people besides send more money for wars rather than focusing on the issues here at home. What most non-Indians don't understand is the entire panel is made up of North Indians including 'Kal Penn'. The divide between North and South Indians is not well known outside of India. They all will be in support of the corrupt, clerk (worked in her father's shop and later became a politician by playing both sides), military contractor Namrata 'Nikki' Haley (North Indian origin) who used her position to become a multi-millionaire from being broke and 1 million in debt after she left the Trump administration. Now the establishment has this 'Nikki' puppet who they can 'control over the course of her political career. The Republican base has no interest in Namrata 'Nikki' Haley who is being pushed hard by the establishment with fake polls, just like they did for Hillary Clinton. On the other hand, Vivek Ramaswamy is of South Indian origin, intelligent, highly educated (Harvard and Yale grad), self-made billionaire/outsider who is unafraid to speak the truth and cannot be 'controlled' (just like Trump) by the establishment or mega donors. Kamala Harris is also of South Indian origin (her mother) but she is purposefully playing dumb and happy to live as another puppet of the establishment. This panel 'representing Indian-Americans' is laughable at best. Shows how the Demoret Party puppets in the media and entertainment industry have no grounding in reality.

I do so because, in the end, all of us will stand before The One & Only, & hear HIS judgment of our lives. I answer, only to HIM. And when you do harm to any of HIS children, & you do harm to HIM. As an Indian, we have soo many political parties over here that no ideology is seen as "another level of crazy" ... its just different and honestly, its not like any ideology in America is less crazy. Obama b*mbed more people than Trump. So, a lot of us can see through general American propaganda even when they pretend to be all "LIBERAL AND SOFT"

There are several reasons why Indian Americans lean conservative. Many are business owners who were really hurt by the Covid Lockdown and want to take it out on the Dems. Others are very well positioned as Upper middle class and don't feel kinship with the Democratic party's redistribution agenda. Some are religious and don't like the Liberal drive to redefine everything from Marriage to what it means to be a man/woman. And some are actually driven by hindutva sympathies who care more about the US' support for Modi and his party. It's a VERY diverse group.

A lot of Indian people are very right wing, especially Hindus. Their PM, Narendra Modi, is known as the Butcher of Gujarat because of pogroms against religious minorities which serve as land grabs by driving away innocent people who have to sell their homes at devalued prices. That's what they love about Trump, that he's a hater. The fact that Trump has no respect for these Hindutvas matters less than their hatred for Muslims and Sikhs. They're ignorant of history and like Americans who are still fighting the Civil War in their heads, these violent hindutvas are still fighting the Mughals in their minds. Hinduism is the most violent religion in the world today, even though westerners have a wrong impression that it's peaceful because they like yoga. Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, and Jains are the only peacemakers in India.

In some ways, we're headed in the direction we always have been, as a society dominated by white men. The "problem," and the reason so many people are OK with the damage he has done, is that the demographics of this country have changed such that white men are finding it difficult to win elections fairly. And so the obvious solution to this problem is to make elections unfair. Or not even bother with elections at all. On that, I want to touch on what is largely a myth that Trump's primary support is from uneducated, ignorant white people. It's not. His support mainly comes from people like me who are college educated. He's largely supported by powerful people who want an unequal society so that it is easier for them to hold onto their power.

Indian Americans are currently the most influential migrant group and by far the wealthiest ethnic group (including whites) in the US. Clearly that was the premise.

@sadoka when they say here "our parents push us" and then by the way the Chinese and Filipinos, they work hard too, it's like a "ya think?". The poor tiger is afraid of the Chinese Tiger Mom. Most groups seem to believe that something is exclusive only to them. Yes, that wealth among the Indian community in the U.S. is evident. But Chinese and Filipinos are not "catching up". They have always worked hard. But guess what, so have Nigerians, Cubans, Japanese and others who come to the U.S. money poor but skill and resource rich.

@@clo5671 That may very well be but the fact is that Indians are nearly twice as rich compared to Chinese or Filipino Americans. And that makes them feel pride. It’s not a bad thing to feel prideful about your ethnicity or nationality. Or do you think that is something exclusive to the Chinese or Americans?

@sadoka. Yes, I think it should only be Chinese and Americans who get to feel pride. Nope. No other groups. That's why I elaborated on so many other groups so I could highlight Chinese. I never said Americans, but yes they should feel all of the pride. Only them.

As someone who grew up in the U.S., not "white" and who has had opportunities to be surrounded by Indians and Indian-Americans for decades now (at school, uni, work, etc.): it was a rude awakening to me that a people mostly darker than me could be so myopic and so openly racist, even when they are native born and well-educated and thus should know better. The level of dissociation from reality and willingness to see others as "less than" is astounding. It's like they're cosplaying at being "white" and surrounded by white privilege, when they're obviously to everyone else, not. Note that they themselves bring up rhe "model minority" bs, thus starting off the discussion with a division, something negative. Then, they are ignorant of Nikki Haley's own words though they claim to support her. And, why don't they question why Ms. Haley doesn't use her given, Indian names? It's just mind boggling how dumb people can be.

That's because you don't understand Indian racism. It's not about skin colour but culture. The Indian racist believes in the superiority of his culture/civilization. They may have a preference for lighter skin but that applies solely within the Indian community. I.e. The Indian mother looking for a light skinned bride for his son is not interested in having a white girl as her daughter in law. Regarding white people, Indians dont think that they are white, rather they see themselves as being superior. They hide it well but this attitude will only get more overt as time go by and that due to both the success of Indian Americans and the rise of a more nationalistic India under Modi.

What most non-Indians don't understand is the entire panel is made up of North Indians including 'Kal Penn'. They have a current fascist Govt running India that is deeply rooted in the 'caste system'' and 'skin color politics'.

Gabbard is a flake who has NOTHING but praise for Putin and Russia and defends Russian territorial grabs in Crimea and Ukraine. She's also on record being quite sympathetic to Turkey's Erdogan and Syria's Assad. Vivek's problem is he resorts too much to vague phraseology which seems like a collage buzz words. His responses to questions are openly contradictory and unduly evasive.
