Following eleven inches of rain just a couple days earlier, Kai'ola Canoe Club held their annual Durgh Kane Memorial long distance race. As Mike mentions in the video, Pu'uwai Canoe Club was unable to send any teams because their club had suffered serious damage from the flooding of the Wailua river during the storm.
In spite of the large amount of debris and the generally gross water, the race was a success! Thanks go out to the members of Kai'ola who worked hard to pull-off this event.
