You don’t get cool animal encounters like that sitting on the couch, nice and dry, great work

You got that right! Cheers mate
Awesome!
Must have been the sane time of year. I walked straight past that hut, past the bbq and beers everywhere and kept waking a long way further

Great watching thanks for sharing
Cool bro. Good to see that country again
Some epic footage mate, so cool to see that stag in action!
Awesome trip with some wicked animal encounters! Last time I was there we had the same thing with not getting much noise but such a cool place to hunt. Real disappointing about the hut, I’ve never been past there without it having people. Shit I go bush to get away from people, not share it with 19 other dudes!
Wot a trip bro some amazing footage.
Top class, great vid - thanks for sharing!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Mint vid Khan, love your content. Shit way to end your trip, that's the thing with huts, you can meet some real cool folks or some rubbish people. It's what it is, that's life. They have to wear that.
Another great video. The roar certainly brings out some interesting characters, I try to stay away from them, sometimes that is unfortunately unavoidable. Thank god they only come out once a year!😊
Thanks for sharing bro! Looking forward to coming home for a stomp around nek year.
Love ya expedition vids

Awesome 👍🏼
Some awesome closeup footage and cool encounters there Khan. Those Sika are something else. Shame about the other closeup encounter with the other "animals"...in the hut.
Awesome video bro pity about the weather though
Awesome footage bro. So good. Love that area. Spent many years in there. We saw your trip log in the hut book last time we were in there so its great to see the vid of your trip. Epic

Awesome video as usual Khan. Some great footage and it looks like you had a great time. Shame about the weather. Pretty shit about the guys in the hut… I did my first Sika roar there in 1992 and I remember there were 52 people at the hut and on the flats below! We just walked out of that area last week. Still a few animals around. Bloody long walk out tho, especially with meat on board! Was Blake busy this year? Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍
That hut is our old family hut. Built by Bob around 81. He used to leave his min14 tucked away in there. Save the carry over the ringa. Unfortunately when he died his wife was interested in the hut log. I sent it to her and then wasn't able to get it back. A real loss to the history. I shit my first stag pretty close by in about 89. Haven't been back for years. Is it staying dry?
Awesome video bro! What old hut was that you walked past?
Awesome. Cheers Kahn. Bookabatch is for rowdy piss trips. Poor form.

For me women and kids always get priority and if anyone else doesn't have a shelter i go and sleep in mine. Those dudes should be ashamed of themselves, but sadly I bet you they're not. Thanks to them yet another group of hikers has a bad experience with hunters... 😮💨

Really enjoyed your video, Ive walked into there from the road many times over the years.A real shame there are groups of hunters that give the rest of us a bad name.Great footage of those cunning little deer too. Believe it or not there are some really good stags in there
Really cool video. A question though, do you normally only take select cuts from the deer? In the UK we would gralloch (remove the innards, head and hooves) and then take the whole carcass back for processing. Is it due to where you are the difficulties involved?
