Kailash Satyarthi: How to make peace? Get angry

How did a young man born into a high caste in India come to free 83,000 children from slavery? Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kailash Satyarthi offers a surprising piece of advice to anyone who wants to change the world for the better: Get angry at injustice. In this powerful talk, he shows how a lifetime of peace-making sprang from a lifetime of outrage.

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Anger is an energy that is inherent in each one of us. The angriest one of us is the one who transforms his anger into idea and action.

Doesn't anger make you lose control of your emotions and feelings? Isn't anger having a negative attitude ? What ideas come from a negative attitude?

@@bjgeniusfacts3208 Hello TED KACZYNSKI. Yea talk , TED KACZYNSKI. In 1996 after I earned my 7 doctrines from UN Ban Ki Moon and the 1994-6 World peace went into force. The 1996 UNABOMBER of Berkeley and Harvard University bomber of education Ted Kaczynski surfaced. his last name is pronounced the SAME way as mine and since 1996 Strangers have asked me of I am related to him. ALL the time the first 10 years. The Mock execution began the day I passed 1996 Federal HIPAA privacy and accountability mental health mock Executions with 1996 International peace. I have 7 Phds from United Nations Secretariat BAN KI MOON 1994-6 and I need proof for the 1996 UNABOMBERS undergrads. WHERE IS IT ? Are You going to let them commit statutory sexually assault on me another 3 more times before you locate copies of my 7 phds for your 1995 Children in active war ? Where is PROOF of my own earned 1994-6 SEVEN doctrines for all of the 1996 Ted Kaczynski’s undergrads ? Funny since 1996 when the Unabomber surfaced, I always thought the UNABOMBER had something to do with the United Nations where I am a member of at least 10 programs. UNICEF, UNIFEM, UNESCO, UNDP, UNODA etc. Until I read the FBI files and they said it stands for University Bomber of Education Like the one I earned from 1994-6 United Nations Secretariat BAN KI MOON and need PROOF. Is Ted Kaczynski another 1994 Clinton’s scandal? She said she used to see his 1st lady Roosevelts ghost in the Whitehouse all the time like a schizophrenic. I lost my entire family from the Clinton’s WWIII for 1994-6 World Peace just like I lost my ancestors in WWII and Clinton Mocking ANNE FRANK ? I think it’s funny that Slavery is only a problem and illegal if you are black, causes Riots Maybe If they had actually EXPERIENCED real slavery themselves like their ancestors they would have more compassion for ANYONE in slavery regardless of skin color. Like me 26 years a real slave. When I amended the civil rights mental disability in 1995 and passed the 1995 Law officers Civil liability act mental disability and signed treaty for RODNEY KING beating with a 60 IQ I did not discriminate his color for being mentally Disabled I got Rodney king justice on TWO civil rights violations. Rodney king was Mentally challenged when sober and called a monkey as being BEAT. Like I have been called a DUMB POLAK as being beat Barbara at Yale 203-432-2311 I have left BARBARA 200 messages and told her I have a President Clinton order to protect , I am in DANGER and need to proved PROOF of my education to judge at hospital. BARABARA and YALE security guard called Linda my persecution and linda threatened to call 911 and say I am Suicidal Because I had YALE call her to PROVE my education for COURT. I have NEVER been suicidal in my LIFE for My Accomplishments. Maybe they are. I am a 1996 Medical Doctor Who has barb wire tattoo around her arm at YALE has failed to provide proof of my education to the county JUDGE for three consecutive years I called her with Life threatening injuries. I told her I am the Yale surgeon who signed the script for HIPAA through international mail from UPS to YALE with International Peace. I signed HIPAA script at UPS in 1996. is BARABARA related to the UNABOMBER with Clinton ?

You know what really grinds my gears!?!?!?! Nah jk. For real though this was a great talk. The idea that emotions should be harnessed and embraced rather than suppressed should be more widely taught. Suppression of anger -- or any emotion for that matter -- just leads to passiveness and submission. By teaching people to suppress their anger, society is just teaching people to accept what already exists. It's teaching people that the world is the way it is, and you can't change it. I'm not saying people should get mad over every little thing, but control of emotions is without a doubt more beneficial to one's self and society than suppression of emotions.

Very few people know that the word "meek", as in the Biblical "the meek shall inherit the Earth", is a translation of a Greek word ("praus") that Aristotle once defined as the perfect balance between insufficient and excessive anger. It has other connotations as well, but it might be a very good thing if more people understood that to be meek once implied a capacity for moderate anger.

Doesn't anger make you lose control of your emotions and feelings? Isn't anger having a negative attitude ? What ideas come from a negative attitude? Doesn't your attitude determine your altitude?

Beautiful and important talk, my only concern is that he didn't address the specifics of how and why these kids are separated from their parents... Surely it's important to examine the underlying cultural and economic reasons this is happening and strike at the root. I suspect if the poor were free to organize themselves as they see fit, create their own competing institutions and the like, their lot would improve substantially... But there's probably a bunch of rules preventing them from owning anything. I'm just saying, don't get sidetracked by the 'think of the children' stuff, the root evil is the caste system and corrupt government that is keeping everyone down to preserve the status quo. Nothing hurts the poor like status quo.

Sreyash Gudavalli not at all because anger is not always good .it depends on conditions for what you are angry and it takes a lot of energy .if you are angry for a right thing like for a revolution then its good.

Do you want to know truth about India's reservation and caste system, and how it marginalizes so called upper caste and gives, reservation in every part of public life in political life and social life, a great setback, to upper caste. what he is telling is all lie, in India so called lower caste are given reservations everywhere, let me explain by an example say if you come under category of [scheduled caste], the cut off for medical colleges for you is around, 350 marks[even you are son of a billionaire who can afford anything]this year and for a general category student is 530 marks. Even if you very much poor you will not get any help in system the cutoff for general students is 99.93 for this year medical admissions. They laugh at you and you can not become politician because more than half of political seats are reserved for them. What he is saying totally out of reason. so called Upper caste people are dying in India.

When he was young, lower cast people didn't get reservations. Also part of the problem is population of India.

How is this different from any ancient wisdom/spirituality? There is self-righteous anger that is destructive and there is anger for Justice that can fill you with the energy to do what is right for others. My religious education has always made that clear. New age think they're above religion & spiritual wisdom & take their own looong road to reach the same conclusions. (It is hilarious & sad when I go through the WOWs of people as if a new discovery was made)
