KR Ghost had such a cool concept and potential but then it just fell apart. And my favorite character would have to be Takeru. He starts out wimpy but grows as the series continues.

The amount of memes and references in the first few minutes is killing me with laughter man.

It’s the start of October and it involves ghost. And speaking of Dragon Ball. I remember that one moment during the end of the Freeza arc where Vegeta few away after hearing that Goku was dead. Only for the next episode to have him stand back at the exact same tree and gives the others advice that they should wish there souls to earth. And I was so confused by this because just an episode before he flew away, and it was like it never happened. And It wasn’t until I read the Manga series as well as looking into the production of the TV series. That I learned there where different directors and animation teams, and this was one of the rare cases where the writers failed to communicate with each other. That was pretty much what I was thinking when watching this video but other than that great video!

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Yeah around that time there was other oddities such as Goku’s House changing designs, to the medicine switching from Pills to Liquid. Or how there are dream sequences such as Goku dreaming about Androids 17 and 18, or Gohan seeing Cell despite the fact that they never saw them before. It was very wired. But It was also fun learning about the different animation teams, and how there styles differ from each other. You know some fun facts.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork And speaking of Halloween Month, I’m more than halfway through Season 3 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. And despide the episodes not being halloween based. A Lot what happens in Season 3 feel like something out of a halloween horror story. Such as the students being turned into zombies for a good number of episodes. Them being teleported to a different world where monsters rule the land and with no light. A literal Devil lurking within our main characters and controlling them, the characters losing their souls. And is by far the most darkest I’ve ever seen in GX. It’s surprisingly really fitting especially for Halloween month that I can’t help but share it. And it’s by far my favorite season in GX.

While I'm not a Kamen Rider fan, the concept of KR Ghost are very interesting. The eyecons invoking ghosts from the past with their own specials powers. The main hero despite not being able to die has set limits. it would be great to see a similar theme with super sentai.

It would be interesting to see a Sentai series do something similar. Imagine having the rangers be based off classic horror movie monsters and then their mecha is based on giant monsters like King Kong and Godzilla.

Rubber suited monster versions of hero arc types, with sidekick themed foot soldiers. As well as imagining the standard 5 bright colored rangers with monster like features plus a 6th ranger & auxiliary rangers if possible.

It was nice seeing something light after Gaim and Drive , I actually enjoyed Ghost much more than Faiz. Faiz was a little bit too depressing and A Trash for me. It’s not that i hate it. No one should ever watch Toshiki Inoue's works. Those are probably the worst written pieces of Kamen Rider media especially Faiz went to downhill and since Shirakura ruined Hibiki. I always feel KR Ghost had great ideas but clearly, its become the outlier of the Heisei KR seasons because of how mishandled the themes as well as the characters and their purpose. If anything, we shoulda stuck from the 99 days time limit from beginning to end. You know what else had a time limit for the entirety of its story but never changed it half-ass wise? Pokemon Adventures the Hoenn Arc/ Ruby and Sapphire arc. It started off with a time limit both Ruby and Sapphire gave to each other but tons of shit happened but the ending feels satisfactory because of what they've been through. I honestly wished they paid attention to the Eyecons because...C'MON! There is SO much things you can do with them. We have the 15 eyecons. Make them either villains, characters who are anti-heroes or something the villains would exploit as one of their MOTW. That woulda worked! 43:28, ok. Old Shocker proved to be ineffective and outdated considering how many years have passed while Nova Shocker did something that the old team didn't. If you seen Super Hero Taisen movies sans Chou Super Hero Taisen (the villains are just video game simulations by a little shit no less in that movie), Shocker was proving ineffective by the hour and you can see the frustration the members are feeling while Nova Shocker tended to be more modernized by fitting in society. This was a low blow to the ol' Shocker's pride they decided to revive Hell Commander who was in cryogenic sleep. 44:00, what's better is that this movie was written by Toshiki Inoue and Hiroshi Fujioka and I honestly feel like I'd rather have Toshiki Inoue write this show than a guy who's had waaay too much work on his plate.

That's part of it. Rushing through the 99 days in the first 13 episodes was utterly pointless. It made no sense at all. I'm okay with the way they did the Eye-Cons thanks to the second half of the series, but I think the Ganmaisers should have been an antithesis to their abilities. While Inoue isn't perfect, the man knows how to write good story telling more often than not.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork You know how I feel about the Ganmeisers? I feel like they coulda been the gods the Ganmas worshipped which was why their world was the way it was. The Ganmeisers were just terribad to the point they allowed those who don't worship them be killed by their own ppl. It woulda shown how warped majority of their ppl are. I woulda loved to see the Ganmas basically messing with history of ppls memories by possessing ghosts of ppl's loved ones and make them the MOTW. The Ganmeisers woulda been better final bosses than Adel tbh. Adel woulda been like that one kid from the Fatal Fury Motion Picture who was brainwashed to do bad imo. Hey, I'll take that honestly like how Garza was. It woulda made for great tragedy and turmoil. The Ganma world woulda been like..say it with me...Helheim! A world which was already dead to begin with. I also feel the souls of the Eyecons woulda known about the Ganmeisers' existence due to them..well..being important and all that. Why not make a story where they got a piece of them in one time? That woulda worked which was how they were the way they are now in Eyecon form.

I agree. As much as I dislike most of Inoue-san's work on most of the recent Kamen Rider shows and movies in the past twenty years, he would have been a much better choice to write for Kamen Rider Ghost than that other guy.

At least Ghost's 5th is being commemorated in Saber at last year , Unlike poor Hibiki's 15th. Even Takeru's Shun Nishime had a starring role in Good Morning Sleeping Lion with Kenzaki/Takayuki Tsubaki from Blade , Tsukasa/Masahiro Inoue from Decade and Kouta/Gaku Sano from Gaim , all who stated they decided to appear in the show to support Takaiwa Seiji as he suit acted for each of them. This explain Why Kiva and Wizard are the most underrated Fantasy theme Riders because both got replaced and succeeded by Decade and Gaim.

Shout! Factory has licensed Zero-One, so it will be up on their streaming service and on video sometime next year. I enjoyed it.

The two teams wasn't the issue, it was that we never actually see Takeru learn about Shocker because the crossover episodes are meant to take place before he meets Ichigo and he first learns of Shocker when he meets him.

As flawed as Ghost was, I can't hate it for the life of me as this is my very first Kamen Rider series that I followed from start to finish as it was airing. But since it was considered to be a low bar I guess it helped making everything else better in comparison minus Saber which was just terrible from start to finish. Now did I have my issues with Ghost? I did. I thought Takero was an extreme doormat for way too long until he finally grew a spine to stand up for himself against Makoto, the plot getting all over the place in a short span of episodes, I didn't hate Onari but I was not a fan of Akari and thought she was annoying for not believing in ghosts, the Drivers were too bulky as you said, most of the villains were boring or forgettable, and Necrom did not get an upgrade like Ghost and Specter.

The Newton Eyecon first appeared in the Kamen Rider Drive finale episode which also served as a Ghost preview also late Heisei Phase 2 Kamen Rider seasons sneak peak the next Main Rider in the finale.... Even if they already made a cameo sneak peak in the Cinematic movie

That's what someone else said and that makes no sense to me at all as not only would it be impossible for him to be Ghost at that point yet, but it's not even a canonnical story just like how the finale to Ghost was not really canon with Ex-Aid.

Nah. That makes it too complicated. Plus, you shouldn't have to watch the previous show to enjoy the one you are watching as that's just crappy writing. Furthermore, watching Ghost before Ex-Aid doesn't make the final episode of Ghost any less garbage as it hasn't had a single thing to do with the narrative of Ex-Aid 40 episodes in.

Was expecting you do review Amazons or Kiva since there related to Halloween/Horror but guess Ghost will do But overall i thought Ghost was ok i think people are hating on it too much when it was airing cause of the story, Takeru being boring and so on but even then it was fine but at least there were good things i like about it the conpect, Alain, the suits, opening and a few

:-D The problem isn't that Takeru's story is boring, it's that the show was all over the place in its pacing. What was the point of having him get all 15 Eye Cons and move past 99 days in 13 episodes? It's not like there weren't another 37 episodes to do all of that in.

@@necrom002 Unpopular opinion = I Liked Kiva , Kiva is actually very underrated if you think about it , the series itself has a good mix between seriousness , character development and humour for some episodes , I loved watching Kiva and it was lighter compared to Hibiki's 2nd half which had a different tone and liked it better than Faiz's 2nd half.

I wasn't expecting a Ghost review this early, I was expecting the review to appear in 3280 lol. But as for the show, yes this show have flaws but I don't think is the worst kamen rider season ever, I still take it over Saber, Kiva and Ryuki but I can admit it could have been way better. But one thing I give this show credit is Fumi death, say what you want about the show but you cannot tell me that scene wasn't sad and really well done.

lol I wasn't expecting to want to review Ghost but suddenly after we watched the Saber/Zenkaiger crossover I wanted to watch it. I can't agree with Kiva and Ryuki though. Those are two of the best rider series in my book.

But I personality cound't stand Ryuki, most of the riders were mediocre, the Ore Journal is pointlesss, the main villan on paper sounds cool but is executed terribly, the mirror monster are some of the absolute worst monsters in the franchise and the fight scenes against them are boring as hell, and the show is just unsolve questions after unsolved questions that never get solve or explain.......oh yeah I almost forgot the ending......the fight against Asakura and Goro was cool thought, but thats about it. I respect everyone who likes Ryuki, but I honestly don't see the hype of the show.

Ryuki isn't perfect, but it was my first Kamen Rider series, so like with Gaoranger, I give it some leeway compared to others. Well that and Ouja makes the show amazing in my book. The fact they let him pull a gun on a child is still one of the best movies of any Kamen Rider series.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork for how much crap I give Ryuki, Askura is one of few things I give this show credit (and also the ost, the suits being my favorite in the franchise, specially the Imperer one, and some characters like Goro, Kitaoka, Asakura and Mitsuru (Imperer) are amazing), he is a pyscopath that somehow never gets old to watch and that scene when he point a gun to child was the moment I said "man this guy is crazy.....I LOVE HIM".

Oh, that's just par for the course when watching crossover movies though. However, given that this one didn't seem to care about continuity, I'm not sure what I believe to be accurate or not.

I enjoyed kamen rider ghost, but I feel like that it should have been about Specter, because his story was more interesting than the main rider especially his forms!?

But I fine with ghost now because At least Ghost's 5th is being commemorated in Saber at last year , Unlike poor Hibiki's 15th. Even Takeru's Shun Nishime had a starring role in Good Morning Sleeping Lion with Kenzaki/Takayuki Tsubaki from Blade , Tsukasa/Masahiro Inoue from Decade and Kouta/Gaku Sano from Gaim , all who stated they decided to appear in the show to support Takaiwa Seiji as he suit acted for each of them.

Are going to other 🎃 themes season too like Kiva and Wizard

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork My Negative Opinion Saber is in my top 3 because I Never Got Bored of it + As much as I hate Keiwa in Geats > It feels like a half baked reason to force Keiwa into an antagonist role like Kusaka + Everything Sucks in Reiwa rider Except Saber Actually it's 10/10 the best show of all time (Zero-one Mess、Revice Depressing、Geats Terrible). Rintaro/Blades is Reiwa’s Only Good Secondary Rider (Fuwa Dead、Poor Daiji、Keiwa Piece of Shit).

It’s funny that that Amazon exclusive show became such a problem because it isn’t even available on Amazon Prime Video. Not like behind a paywall, entirely unavailable.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork I thought the MetsubouJinrai special was really good up until that shitty twist cliffhanger ending. But yeah, allot of these special V-Cinema’s just really blow allot of the time. I’m also not a fan of how most of them try to be “adult” by having darker storylines and more violent scenes. It’s not adult Toei, it’s juvenile edgy try hard and it needs to stop. The Ex Aid Beast special that features the return of Asakura from Ryuki is a big example of this, where Asakura just beats the ever loving shit out of Emu and it’s just the most laughable shit ever. He literally throws Emu in a bucket filled with shattered glass for Christ’s sake (laughs a bunch) I’m sorry but that’s just so edgy try hard that it’s honestly really funny to me.

Wait? There's a special where Asakura beats the crap out of Emu? This I most definitely must see as I'm 26 episodes into Ex-Aid and I hate Emu. Not as much as I disdain Taiga, but pretty close.

It wuold be cool that the villains and monsters instead of being an random evil interdimencional empire they where the reincarnations of real life criminals,psychopaths,murderers,,dictators etc that escaped from hell becoming yokais and death is the one who gives the powers to takeru cuz he was involutary responsible for the hell espace and death gives I’m the chance of repairing that errors and almost in the middle of the show the main antagonistic group is introduced being called the N-zis (yeah am very obvious with that name) and they recruit and hire the other yokais to steal the souls of people to make an immortal army of artificial super yokais and in the final battle the leader is forced to become an completely unhinged monster to take revenge on ghost for ruining is plans (I think the yokai idea fits better with the whole ghost thing instead of the inter interdimentional empire thing)

It's certainly better than Hibiki's 2nd half and it was more popular than Kiva and Wizard.

I never made it past episode 1 originally, so this is quite an advancement. I do not like this series though. I hate the suits immensely, the CGI is dreadful, the onlly character I really like so far is Lazer, and the plot is essentially a prototype to Zero-One's.

Fun fact, there is an article saying that KR ghost made many children in the hospital happy

@@Gunners249-y6x Ghost is really good It’s not great but I thoroughly enjoyed it It has a more solid story and character telling than Geats I'm gonna make a thread why Geats sucks and How I would rewrite Geats 1- Why the characters don't talk I mean theres things that wouldn't make sense to talk and the characters are introverts but gosh 2- Keiwa is a Jerk from episode 18 onwards 3- Theres plot point that are clear to interpertacion and I hate Toei and Yuya Takahashi's writing is overrated all need explanation 4-but We don't have Toei celebrating Kiva's 15th and Wizard's 10th! Then again Takahashi Sucks and it's Full of shit lol 5-Need Tsuyoshi Kida and Junko Komura to be the head writer for Geats so it would be much better series

Well they have all three writers for both shows. I can't speak on Saber, but Ghost at least had great ideas and characters to make up for its shortcomings in the writing department. Even the actors did the best job they could with what they had to work with.

How I would rewrite Ghost: Eyecons: Have them be morally ambiguous since life was complicated in their times. Do NOT have them play favorites with Makoto or Alain because of having "stronger connections" , "forcing views onto others" or any other half-assed or anything as fickle as that. And instead of just Takeru, they leave ALL THREE because of how they don't completely understand heroism; forcing the three to grow. Takeru: Have him have a family business of exorcists and understand how spirits are stuck in the in-between. He can still lose a lot of fights, but at least don't sideline him for Makoto and Alain. When it comes to one incident where it nearly causes human, spirit, and non-malicious Ganma harm; THEN have the Eyecon leave him until he learns better. And have the three-month time limit be relevant and he go through walls like his namesake for crying out loud! Makoto: Have the Eyecons in his possession be disturbed by his brutal methods as he doesn't seems concerned with who gets hurt; even when they themselves went through nearly similar events. Have it be that, while it is noble that he wants to save his sister, his reasons and actions were more selfish as he only focuses on his own feelings rather than everyone around him. Have the Eyecons leave him when he shows, even when he let go of his resentment, that he NEEDS to think of others OUTSIDE him and his sister. The mind control can still be a thing, but the "friends" thing is nixed. Alain: Have just a little tweak here and there, but keep most of his ideals the same before he changes his views. Have him have very little understanding on what friendship means, with Makoto not even wanting any involvement with him or his family; basically seeing as a "friend" because of how brutal the second rider was, despite him being okay with attacking the human realm where Makoto and his sister came from. Have him be defeated by the combined forces of Takeru and Makoto when the latter is freed from his mind-control and have the Eyecons abandon him, thus forcing him to see how bad his views truly were, even if he does show that he cares for some others. Edith AKA Sennin: Have his quirky personality be the result of him coping with all the wrongdoings he had committed and has grown to care about the human world and especially Takeru; coming to help him by being a true friend. Yurusen: Basically.... have him less pointless and useless as he grows to care about Takeru. Onari: Like Yurusen, have him less pointless and useless; maybe have him know some combat and more knowledgeable in the paranormal. I'm sorry for the long-winded rant, this show just gets on my nerves most of the time. And this is only MY take on how things should have gone, I'm sure others can write better than me.

Frankly, I think his appearance in Drive is how the show should have played out. He should have been rescuing people who were either about to die or just died instead of what we got.

It was nice seeing something light after Gaim and Drive , I actually enjoyed Ghost much more than Faiz. Faiz was a little bit too depressing and A Trash for me. It’s not that i hate it. I enjoyed it to an extent but Ghost it’s definitely OK. My favorite show will forever be Zi-o. haha

At least Ghost's 5th is being commemorated in Saber at last year , Unlike poor Hibiki's 15th. Even Takeru's Shun Nishime had a starring role in Good Morning Sleeping Lion with Kenzaki/Takayuki Tsubaki from Blade , Tsukasa/Masahiro Inoue from Decade and Kouta/Gaku Sano from Gaim , all who stated they decided to appear in the show to support Takaiwa Seiji as he suit acted for each of them. This explain Why Kiva and Wizard are the most underrated Fantasy theme Riders because both got replaced and succeeded by Decade and Gaim.

Ghost is really a show that frustrates me however i do not consider it to be the worst season of Kamen Rider. Why? there are some greatness hidden in this work of complicated mediocrity. Namely, Necrom. If it wasn't for Necrom this show would have been a complete disaster. 2/5 Personally, for how flawed Decade was Tsukasa is without a doubt a charismatic and badass protagonist and Natsumi was also great too. also, there were still some neat episodes like the ones with Agito, Kabuto, the Shinkenger crossover and the DiEnd episode. Wizard has an interesting premise but has some really rough characters

Decade has a whole different set of issues compared to Ghost, such as the lack of an actual ending.

If the monk didn't annoy me in the first 3 episodes I'd give it more of a chance because his design is decent and the gimmick is fancy but there all so ANNOYING

I like this show and yes I know it's bad but frankly I don't care. Will I say this is the best show ever? Nope. Why? Because I agree that show suffered with it's development behind the scenes, and stuff was really mishandled. Takauro Fukuda should have declined if he knew his schedule was to busy and Toei should have let Mori or Hasagawa be the head writer. Heck you could have hired Yasako or Inoue but then again nevermind. Now, I didn't know Bandai micro manged the show with the merchandise but knowing that, I am mad now and I ain't having it either. Will I go off and send threats to Toei for this? Nope because that's pointless and it doesn't fix the problem. I hated Most of the villians because they were one note and kind of racist. And Adel shouldn't have be the main villian at all because his whole reason for being evil was because his mommy died. Cry me a river man. But whatever, thank you for giving this show a 3 instead of a 1 or 2 because this show any that bad as everyone makes it out to be.

For all of its faults, it definitely wasn't bad enough to be given a 2 as there was a lot of material I enjoyed. Cruellica and I had this conversation quite a bit as we were watching it back in July. Hell, I'm 10 episodes into Ex-Aid and I think Ghost is better than it right now.

I have to say though, I wasn't really expecting a horror theme from Ghost. Because when I think Ghost, I was thinking spirituality and religious themes. I'm just different because I'm not a horror movie fan very much (though I watched your movie reviews on horror movies because I wanted to watch more of your show) but I wouldn't mind that since we had that in Kiva.

Kiva is a great series! Anyway, I don't think there are any worse seasons of KR than there are of Sentai, and this is saying something from one who prefers Sentai. I do think KR is more consistent in recent years compared to Sentai though. In the last decade I've only cared for Gokaiger and Kiramager whereas for Rider, I've liked Fourze, Gaim, Build, and Zero-One.

Wow. What is it about Kiva you don't like? I mean, there are definitely flaws to it a the time traveling thing gets wonky, but Wataru has so much character growth that I'm willing to overlook the negatives.

The show's main problem is that a lot of the drama tends to come from the characters constantly misunderstanding each other with no actual build up , and just refusing to talk it out , It takes it self waaaay to seriously to the point it feels more like a edge lord fanfic And when it tries to provide some moments of comedy , it's rather forced due to the show's more serious nature , The story is all over the place and it barely contributes anything to the show , A lot of things in the show tend to happen with little to no explanation such as what are Smart Brain's motives besides creating more Orphnochs? or what's the story behind Lucky Clover? Speaking of which , The Orphnochs themselves weren't that great either outside of design and brutality. Murakami/Rose orphnoch and Sawada/Spider orphnoch were pretty unlikable and uninteresting , with the Orphnoch King being one of the worst final villains in the franchise , The Orphnoch King was never mentioned until the season finale , The characters are completely unlikable and Toshiki Inoue's writing is awful , Kusaka is an unlikeable jerk, due to his hate towards Takumi, as well only caring about himself, and could also be considered as the worst secondary rider to exist in the franchise's history , Mihara is the show's most forgettable character, and had no development within the series' progression , his only purpose was just so the Delta Gear could have it's prominent owner , The finale for the show feels rather rushed and boring especially the final battle between Faiz and the Orphnoch King , The acting is a little bland and most character developments were immediately undone , They were too much conflict and not enough humor , If anyone counted the Deformed flower Novel , it will probably be the worst thing.
