Beautifully done! I have been to parts of the Malwathu Oya and enjoyed the beauty. But this is the whole experience. Hats Off to all of you who did this journey and recorded it for all of us pictorially and with information. Hats off to Robert Knox too! I have a grudge with history especially Culavamsa and Mahawamsa which have neatly cut off our Yaksha heritage and with it Kuveni the queen who led an advanced civilization. Perhaps we were a matriarchal society forcefully turned into a patriarchal one from Vijaya the Indian. Very sad that we cant trace her history except to the Lion.

It is a wonderful exploring excursion, touched my heart as I am from Anuradhapura. Malwathu Oya alias Kadamba ganga runs far back into the stories of epics. Even before King Dutugeamunu was born. You should reach the Nachchaduwa reservoir and up-stream till Riti-Gala mountain range where on the top the climate is on par with Kandy. Look for the catchment of the river and gather stories from the villagers. Look for the "Gal- Paalama" over which the sacred bo-sapling was brought to Anuradhapura, and the ruins and the remains of the stone pillar bridge with massive rafters collapsed into water and still exist. Please keep your good work.

I fully agree with you on the climate condition of Riti-Gala mountain range. I first hand experienced it when I visited Riti-Gala in 2018.

I learned many things (and some unseen facets) when I was watching the Malwathu Oya Soya video directed by Dr. SinhaRaja Thammita- Delgoda. It is such a beautiful and thought provoking video. Here, I appreciate the the work, expertise and dedication of Hiranya Malwatte and Tharindu Amunugama. Likewise, we should not forget the steadfast support of Mrs. Shanika Weerasundara in making this video into reality. I find that the video starts at the point of 8.58 minutes. If it happens to you, please drag the red progress line back to the beginning (0.0 minutes). Otherwise, you will lose almost 9 minutes of important video segment.

Small correction needs to do. Malwathu Oya didn't start from Ritigala it goes beyond it. Its extreme upstream end starts from small hillocks in the upper catchment of Horiwila Tank.
