I cannot express how much I love soyeon, especially her rapping. How can this girl change her rap flow and speed so easily? And, the way that she raps sets the tone and feeling. Here she sounds like she is stating the facts. There's no debate. MORE's rap feels like she's attacking you subtly and slowly, while in popstars, it feels like she's attacking you upfront and in your face. I am envious of her talent. This girl has a bright future.

@@helloo7928 Ok I see what you are saying, but I also think the distinction you made between Western and Asian countries is perhaps an indication of why the West as a whole is pretty united compared to East Asia where everyone has beef with each other. I mean given the geographical proximity between China, Korea, and even Japan, it's kind of expected for there to be a lot of cultural overlaps. I just don't understand this Asian mentality of trying to "own" something intangible instead of enjoying everything as a collective, even though the ownership of which doesn't really translate into material benefits. What we are seeing in the West as of recently is this increasingly taboo attitude toward "cultural appropriation" to the point that people are forced to do and act in a way that is predetermined by factors they could not control. This also leaves very little room for mutual cultural appreciation. I hope the same insanity of gatekeeping culture doesn't occur in the generally more rational Eastern world. People should be more forgiving and inclusive with others who dip into their own cultures. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If groups of people started taking private ownership of cultural products, does that mean I should pay the British a quid with every English word I type? Or should the Japanese pay the Chinese with every kanji they use? That would be ridiculous.

I understand the need to maintain a unique cultural identity, especially when China is much larger in size so it has the possibility to absorb your culture. However, I don't think anyone in the world has forgotten about Korea being a different civilization than China, so maybe the Chinese cultural threat you perceive isn't really as bad as you think. When it comes to the Korean war, I personally don't place the blame on either Asian nations. It seems like the first culprit was the USSR and the US who decided to divide the Korean peninsula after WW2. Then it was North Korea who invaded first and broke the peace. After that, the US and its allies "accidentally" bombed several Chinese cities as they pushed toward the Chinese border, with MacArthur even threatening to invade China afterward, so China retaliated not against South Korea, but against the US. Therefore, the two countries never intended to fight each other, as South Korea fought North Korea while China fought the US and its Western allies. It's just an unfortunate situation that the Cold War divided the nations into two opposing sides. If there's any East Asian country that truly deserves blame it should be Japan. The Japanese knowingly and intentionally slaughtered many civilians and committed many rape and inhumane experiments. They are the ones who brought WW2 into the Asian theater through their unsolicited aggression towards others under the fake banner of "East Asian Prosperity." East Asia has historically been mostly peaceful. If you look at history it's always the Japanese invading the continental nations first, and their aggressions finally succeeded after they learned imperialism and modern weapons from the white people.
