Honestly, I feel its a stretch to state an instability or insatiable hunger w/ Elune simply because of the Night Warrior aspect - righteous fury, retributive vengeance doesn't necessarily mark instability, evil and related - just evidence that pacifism is not her approach.

@@Godwin420 I would argue the fact that it completely consumed the victim however places it near enough to the realm to make that leap and definitely makes it less of a stretch.

@@TheAccolonn I see the point, I just view it quite differently as a mortal frame can only possess so much power, no matter the source. Elune just offers that... extra needed that will result in your loss of everything if so, as evidenced by Tyrande's almost woopsie. I'm fine with either, it just seemed odd to pigeon hole 'good' deities as anything less simply due to the reasons I gave before, but in this instance it very well could apply as presented.

@@TheAccolonn Well, I bastardized that with a quick 'instability, evil, and related'. I personally still view the Void as inherently evil, with a few exceptions that may apply possibly, but I get that you and Pyro both seemingly view it entirely differently today.

@@Godwin420 not just today, I reject the notion and have done, of good and evil forces in WoW entirely. Since, to my mind, they each simply exist within their own perspective. Can there be individuals within each force that's evil? Sure but the force itself simply exists to further its own plan for the cosmos and none of them care much for us mortals.

BRUH that last line. Who said its the Quel'thalas of our dimension...🤯🤯🤯 I'm so on board with this. Xal kicks our asses, breaks all the titan's work to contain/control Azeroth, Azeroth gets pulled into the void, we fight the void to take it out only to find the titans waiting for us on the otherside looking to reinstall their order on the world and we defend Azeroth against their influence. Wild times.

Minute into the video Acco and i gotta admit i feel kinda same hype here. What a time to be WoW lore and speculation enthusiast. We got so much ahead, can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I had an interesting interaction with an ethereal on the beta - not on the leveling realms - on the capped realm, meant for dungeon and raid testing. I was testing out Preservation evoker, Chronomancer. Chronomancer has some interesting flavor text in the description. It says that specializing in bronze magic can cause instabilities, because of all the futures that chronomancers constantly see. I was in Stormwind hitting the target dummy and all out of nowhere, a *silver dragon* Ethereal appears and immediately aggros onto me and starts attacking me. They said two things, "Thank you for summoning me from the darkness, evoker." (did not use my name, just called me evoker) "You have outlived your usefulness." Others could see it too, and started attacking it. I got a few "???" above other players heads as they were also confused about what just happened - where did this rare come from? The ethereal died very fast since there were tons of other players there on the dummies with me so we collectively killed it. I checked all my gear, in case something like a trinket was capable of summoning beings and that wasn't it. I have tried creating new characters, new evokers, swapping specs and swapping back, done countless dungeons on the beta as chronomancer and haven't been able to re-create this event. I was going to put this in Pyro's discord but they are very anti-spoiler and I wasn't sure if sharing this would upset someone so I kept it to myself, but I feel like this vid is a good place to share this experience. This event has been driving me crazy, my jaw was on the floor when it happened. If someone has an explanation, I would love one.

@@loganboyd10 all I had was the tier set from the vendors and a few pvp things from the pvp vendor to get rid of my greens

Gallywix was seen in the Taz'avesh dungeon in Shadowlands, meeting with a band of brokers. The reason as to why was never explained, but working from the assumption that he sits on caches of Azerite, the brokers interest in Azerothian artifacts, and the similarity between Brokers/Ethereals is interesting.

Xenedar, Genedar, Beledar..... what could possibly be in that "crystal" that likes singing?

The Moon's light is a reflection of the Sun's light. So one could suggest that one aspect of Elune could possibly be a reflection of of the nature of the Light's wrath on top of Elune playing off the theme of the Light being able to manifest even in the darkness of the void. A Ying to Yang of the Void.

So maybe the radiant song is the void trying to batter down our mental defenses in order to prepare us for Instrumentality.

yeah it’s kinda like how old gods randomly fly thru the great dark, just that it’s a light crystal now.

the moon has two faces a light one and dark one and we only see one race of the moon so i imagine the same concept works for azeroth's moon. the knight warrior might be that dark side of the moon which consumes all including the host's body.

perhaps elune is unstable/broken because she is the part of azeroth that the "titans" didnt like and removed before trying to force convert azeroth to order/arcane.

What if the crystal is an escape pod that escaped Karesh and crashed on Azeroth? Maybe the pod is generating a signal and within it there are some original Kareshans Or it could be a light seed that allows the light to spread. The void is very sensitive to them and when they begin to bloom, they sing, and void lords take notice

I also think that the Goblins are connected to the "Dark Heart" cuz the Goblins created the Dragonsoul under Neltharions Command... so maybe they also crafted the Dark Heart...

If sargarus is now a titan of disorder then order deities have the ability to go to their diametrically opposed side also. Maybe it’s that order and disorder, light and void, and life and death. All can’t live or exist without each other, so beings that are in one of those camps can go to the other.

Guess the cosmic forces do have opposites they are at "war" with but they also have one cosmic force that they consume. Shadow consumes arcane.

@accolonn why does Xal.atath refer to Elune as an upstart goddess? You might be on to something here, Elune being that balancing act. Seeing that we're theorycrafting, look at that cosmology chart, we are missing 4 relms. Two we see, one we know of but it's not there (the Twisting Nether). The others that are missing probably created the imbalance (the Void Lords). Maybe Elune is another renegade equivalent of "SORRY TO SAY IT" Zovaal. It seems she took matter into her on hands,for Xal.atath refer to her as an upstart goddess.

Eh, I'm still banking on Gallywix being a dreadlord and folding in with Denathrius and 2nd Legion plotline. It's too good not to do. As for the song/light whisper, The subtitles say it's a worldsoul. They do not say which worldsoul. What happens if the Light takes a world soul? Would we get something bigger than a prime naaru? Maybe.. a giant crystal?

here is my original Theory that opened up this video, though in the chat I had to abbreviate it. Theory came to me, and I know is off the wall. I need it picked apart, or more thoughts into it. What if Elune IS Azeroth? We have seen representatives of all Cosmic Forces, Naaru, Titans, Demons, Old Gods, Death Pantheon, and so on. We know that Elune use to be in the Shadowlands. The only representation we've seen of Elune is stories Anshe, and Muusha, Temples, Ysera taken to Ardenweald. The Night Warrior. But we've never seen an actual Representative that I can remember of Elune. What if she is Azeroth, but a part of her can exist outside of the planet. Hence Elune the goddess. Elune learned from the shadowlands, has observed all the Cosmic Forces, and knew that greatest deception to throw all of them off was to become corporeal? What if Azeroth was on the verge of Dying/being corrupted by the Old Gods, so a hint was laid down to get Amanthrul to find Azeroth. Elune knew Order could not abide by this, and what happened there happened. When Zovaal did what he did, Azeroth/Elune left the shadowlands to return to Azeroth. To help protect herself. Knowing that the Mortal Races had the potential to become stronger than the cosmic Forces. However, they needed time to grow and evolve. We know that she allowed Teldrassil to happen to send Ardenweald souls, but did not know about Orobos being broken. Her being back "on" Azeroth would explain why she was ignorant of that. What if the Night Warrior ritual is a misinterpretation of an whole Ritual. Just as Magni misinterpreted the Ritual that turned him into Diamond. The Void again encroaches to her Soul yet again, but the Titans are ofcourse busy keeping Sargeras imprisoned. The Light is to fanatical to send help until its almost too late, Fel isn't an option, and we know that Life can't control itself. So Azeroth/Elune is calling out to us now. "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi you are our only hope." kind of thing. Thoughts? Am I based, or baked? I'd love examples disproving, or ideas that support it. just be respectful

what if k'aresh is azeroth? the same planet, long time ago pulled into the void by dimensius, then found by titans and pulled out of there to whatever plane they wanted it in? in the titan lore it would be described as them smashing the black empire they found there and dealing with these old god parasites that got sucked onto it :).

I am starting to lean towards Azeroth not being good or bad. It's an uncontrollable force. I think some believe they can use it and control it, enter Xalatath. Elune probably tried at one point, and this is how she got the Night Warrior powers but realized along with the Titans, Azeroth had to be contained. Attempts to use her power will result in our destruction. This is just a theory that makes sense to me, lol.

Quick idea, what if Dimentius was a void corrupted soul of Karesh?

I whould say that Light is artificial and that void is "default state" of the universe since darkness is absence of light.I think that in the begining there was only void and that light came later possibly being created by the first ones how i dont know.

What if Elune is vengeful because she was forced to be the balancing of light and shadow? Maybe the titans ordered/dominated her to become the moon against her will Elune is only Azeroths moon right? Maybe she's the only thing keeping Azeroth in perfect balance and without her Azeroth would Sway completely to light/void (neither are good xD) Or could be deeper and she's keeping every cosmological force in balance and the whole system is set on Elunes shoulders Just some random thoughts

Elune is worshipped on other worlds, so chances are she is not literally azeroth's moon so much as a goddess whose divine profile is moons

So we're going to retreat/regroup at Quel'Thalas and the Sunwell, as they are the last source of light available at the hour of Midnight. Hot.

Could elune be that planet that sargeras chopped in half?

What if Dimensius never arrived on Karresh? What if Dimensius was born from it?

off topic: the moon is dust and rock. how can dust and rock reflect light. never saw that.... and I've traveled half of the earth. it remains a questionmark in my life ^^

I think the ethereal want to use azeroth to save their world.

I also forgot to mention... Whole thing on radiant song I think is 100% most likely for what is to happen, I see some people deny it but im riding this train fr. Just revisit the whispers ll'gynoth in bfa,and Dragonflight new N'zoth whispers... N'zoth: "You will follow him to the deep places, the dark waters will flow in his wake" "Her dreams sing beneath the surface, our dreams, our song." And these are literally most recent ones as you know it. ll'gynoth since legion was ALWAYS also mentioning "HIM", and connecting roots and earth so it makes obvious its not Voidlord they talk about all time. All supporting the fact that these "visions" from "Azeroth" that Blizzard lead us to believe are false. We will most likely reach the most deepest level underground they already mentioned its below Azj-kahet, following the "visions". And we already know some of these ll'gynoth whispers already revealed some things about Shadowlands came to pass, but Blizzard still didnt confirm any of those "officialy" despise all hints since the expac ended.

About that. Danuser was the writer of all the old god/void whispers. So that part of the story might get a little wibbly-wobbly just like Metzen's and Afrasiabi's did when they left. Luckily, void whispers are vague AF so they can more easily be adjusted without us noticing.

@@DarkScreamGames I mean wasn't Danuser back then even narrative lead? He became narrative lead between BFA and SL but i might be wrong. I think people make mistake,thinking back "disaster" narrative wise that was SL and late BFA and they say Blizz wont pick it up. I do think and they said it few times that recent lore will BE very relevant, and they won't ignore it. People like Bellular would rather that those never happened and keep mentioning it wont be ever relevant, but truth is they can really fix and even double it down for the future. Just because some bad agenda-driven story writers did damage left company doesnt mean they will just ignore it forever.

The demons are attacking planets looking for the sleeping God the is dreaming reality into the void and pushing the void out with light, order, and life.
