Heya everyone, and merry Christmas! :D
Finally, here's the long awaited English version of the Infinite Eclipse track in Japanese I made with Satomi four years ago: Lunar Rebellion!
Many things to say about it, though - the original plan was to wait until the SFM animation was done before releasing it. However, such an animation take a very long time to make and it'd have been postponed until an unknown date. In the meantime... This year has been quite terrible on my end regarding music releases and I had nothing for the last month of 2023.
Considering all that, I decided to release the English version of Lunar Rebellion with a "classic" video and we'll release the full SFM animation when it'll be done!
In addition to that, my plan was to release this track way earlier in December, but I got a big issue with my computer and had to reinstall Windows and all my music programs and such. Since I was in the middle of my exams for my evening lessons, it took more time than planned.
But yeah, in terms of music, lately, I'm really not motivated to do anything which is why it takes me more time to release stuff.
Though, some good news about Infinite Eclipse Origin (the light novel series project, not the music) - it's almost finished to be done and corrected and I hope for a release somewhere in Summer 2024. If you're interested in that project, I'd recommand to join the IE Discord server linked above, as you'll be able to see already a few sketches that'll be featured in the first volume of the series!
Anyway, big thanks to Koa for the amazing vocals here, as well as the edit of the original English text (that was simply a literal translation of the Japanese lyrics)!

If the original version was the theme of the Lunar Rebellion, this is more like the Crystalized's anthem. The first part is Naegissa rallying Nerath's armies to (un)holy war against the Red Sun's disciples, followed by a flashback to Luna's own fall....the beginning of Equestria's darkest hour.

@@JycRow The fact that Koa also sang Nerath's theme is what directly inspired my interpretation. Naegissa IS the Goddess of Nightmares' Voice, after all.
Oh boy, I sure hope she doesn't fail and feel so helpless she lets an inner darkness consume her, leading to an outcome none of them could have expected with powerful new gods with far less mercy than the sisters rising from their corpses!

What I noticed is the English version has been translated by worded differently, yet it is still a same meaning. I'm impressed. How could anyone write such an amazing song? 😁 Or should I say this since when did musicians ever write their songs? Overall this is awesome!

The song had to be rewritter because the litteral translation from Japanese would not have worked in a song, since it'd have had no rhyme nor rythm. More than a translation, I'd say it's like an adaptation, like one would need to do to translate a manga/anime from Japanese to English. Regarding the lyrics in this song, it's Satomi who wrote it, and Koa who edited the translation. And generally speaking, I almost never write my own lyrics - usually it's the singer I work with who writes it ^^

Notably NMM appears less like separate entity and more like the inner voice in English version. I got feeling that in Japanese version she talks more about replacing Luna, while in English she is tempting to fall to the Dark Side (of the Moon?)

I noticed _part_ of that. I found it interesting how the English words were sorta squished to fit the original Japanese cadence of the lyrics. I didn't notice that the lyrics were completely new as opposed to transliterated though.
I remember the other version. I love this English version more because I understand English. Love this music by the way!

2:51 - 3:01 is an absolutely incredible piece of lyricism/translation. It flows so well, you'd never know it wasn't originally written in English.

That's because it was translated *and* edited, because the litteral translation would never have worked ^^

This is my absolute favorite song of all by Jyc Row, I like all their work but this one song will always take the top spot . Ty Jyc for such amazing music , your music has helped me out more than I can express

There are so many memories that I have connected to the Jyc's music. May 2019: I passed my final test at high school (A-levels). Knowing, that I will have to say goodbye to my friends teachers (I learned friendship, so my teachers became also my friends), I played _The last Battle._ (released about 2018/2019). Both me and my teachers fought for my success, and we did it. I passed, We won, later I found the job, but I had to leave my teacher friends. I was painful, but we moved on. May 2020: After first phase of global epidemic in Poland we had to return to our jobs. Mine was at shopping centre (gallery). In the beginning of the Global pandemic. Great. I was so scared, that I would catch the COVID and both kill myself and my family (i have asthma). Two days later, Jyc released *Together, against the Sisters.* It was greatly encouraging. One day, I stood before my job, my gallery, and sang this song along (the Lunar parts, since this song is for duet). I did it every day before my work. I literally risked my life to serve my clients, so I wrote the testament (I'm 24 rn), in case of death, and moved on. If Jyc wouldn't wrote *Together, against the Sisters* , i wouldn't be so brave back then. Now I'm calm in case of death, despite having COVID two times. Thank you Jyc, for your music. If someone wants some more trivia, I'm ready. I hope some of my memories will encourage the people to stand brave against any problem that they face. The trials will come. But *with every trial we are stronger and better equipped for the future.* _"We can be the Heroes we've become"_ - Aviators Stay strong, lads. 💪👑🌙
