That comment hit me tonight. This guy is keeping me going in some way, but he’s gone. Rest in Peace Justin, I pray.
HEY NASHVILLE, THIS IS FUCKING MUSIC
Some lights burn twice as bright but half as long. Rest in peace, Justin. We'll miss you.

Rest in peace cowboy. So glad I got to see you play live 3 times while you were with us. This will always be one of my favourite songs. 💔

Four shows: Fort Worth, Denton, Maumee, Columbia. This was the one I had to listen to when I found out.
Only just learned this guy passed away. I'm from the UK and had his album Harlem River Blues on repeat for months and months. Incredibly sad. RIP JTE.
Man…… I miss this guy !!! 😢
that's true americana, what ever you wanna call it, it's good music.
I am currently having an obsession with his music. One of the greatest for sure.

Ha! So am I. (Just noticed that you posted that comment three years ago. Hey, what can I say, I'm slow.) BUT I have tickets for the day after tomorrow. He's playing Brooklyn! And I'm going!
Miss this guy so much
I LOVE this version. I haven't heard him get quite that sound on the guitar before. The warmer, intimate sound recording works so well.

It's actually the guitar. It has a much richer tone than some of the other instruments he uses.
I can't stop listening to this song, why isn't this song huge? !?

Sweet , profound , and sang from the heart. Perfection

Justin is awesome and honors his father and Townes well!
very relaxing....he's in no rush

He reminds me so much of Jim Croce, James Taylor, and Van Morrison, in a much different way...Very pleasurable

His phrasing (esp on this album) always reminded me of Elvis Costello... But you're not wrong he's certainly in that line of great Americana players, writers and pickers.
Look at his movement. That is utter talent. Sheesh
His playing style sounds more appealing on the dreadnaught as opposed to the 000's he typically plays, IMHO. Awesome song BTW.
Just him and guitar, simple but just right. Plus I like how the martin sounds with him compared to his epiphone for these kind on songs.
well said
RIP
Peace to all
I have a similar guitar as he, I´m so happy!!

I would kill for someone to tab this out...
I feel like we just met
Probably in memory of Townes Van Zandt who he is named after......if ya dont know Townes you should check him out
tab it yourself. that's how you learn!
So baby put your hands on me..... Ok, Justin.
I need that guitar.

You need? That's pretty selfish. Actually it's pretty weak. Me, me, me, need, need, need, want, want, want. Get a grip on yourself man.

it is his real name. His full name is really Justin TOWNES Earle.

Just watch and stop and start that's what everybody else would do if they didn't know it. Some things take a little effort my friend.
Is that a Martin DRSGT?

Ain’t that the truth
man he is really trying to rip that D string off haha
This is a slowed down version.
RIP JTE. Awful loss.
Ha right obviously, but it's still not HIS name is it? It was Townes Van Zant's before it was his, I doubt the tattoo refers to himself
Nah he just has Townes (google JTE Inked Mag). And we all know that's really not his name.
ehh no. You can pluck the shit out of the bass strings. The trebles are the ones that snap.
if you tab it out 2 wives will die.
i bet 90 percent of the strings he breaks are his D string
He inherited talent, but I think he also inherited demons.
Does he have his own name tattooed across his collarbone? That's kinda douche-y.
@jamesmccormick211

Looks like his middle name Townes, which his dad gave him to honor the great singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. So I would take it to be a tribute to him.

I have my name tattooed above my butthole because I’m kinda douche-y.
I can do you one better than the tab...you're watching the video...he is showing you exactly how to play the song. Voila....stop being lazy
