Justin Gaethje (November 14, 1988) is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As May 24, 2020, he is #10 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings and is the current interim UFC Lightweight Champion.
Born in Safford, Arizona, Gaethje began wrestling when he was four years old. He was a two-time Arizona state champion as a wrestler at Safford High School, and an NCAA Division I All-American during his time at the University of Northern Colorado. He began his amateur MMA career while in college, turned professional in 2011 and joined the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) in 2013, where he became Lightweight Champion. He defended his WSOF belt five times before vacating it to join the UFC in 2017.
Despite his wrestling background, Gaethje rarely looks for takedowns and is known for his aggressive stand-up fighting style. He has finished 19 of his 22 wins by knockout or technical knockout and has received five Fight of the Night and four Performance of the Night awards in his seven fights in the UFC.

@William Robert Perhaps. The Khabib fans believe him to be invincible. Their confident predictions of his dominating Justin come off as unappreciative. It's hard to blame them when you look at it on paper, but I think to pretend Khabib is going to just have another day in the office against Justin Gaethje is a misread of the matchup. Gaethje has very good defense against Khabib's best weapon, and Khabib has a very good defense against Gaethje's. It's going to be one hell of a fight.

Cheating on his pregnant girlfriend did him no favours either. You see the youth try to emulate the guy and other mma fighters try to as well and he’s just such a piece of turd. I’d be so ashamed if Conor was my son, he used to get in full on fist fights with his father as an adult over being told to get a job too. He’s a real leach who got lucky at the right moment in time in mma. A lot of fans are just completely tired of his bs and don’t even care anymore. Few people respect him behind his back. Imagine being his kid and it being known your dad cheats on your mother when pregnant with you and took photos to boot. He’s so dumb he even took hotel photos with her, does any other idiot in the entire world take photos with a one night stand when you’re a celebrity who has a pregnant girlfriend at home? He’s a real moron. He may as well have live-streamed the entire night with her on his instagram, the photos were only taken for her to show the public if she needed to.

Something most people don't know about Gaethje: up until his Ferguson fight he was practically fighting blind. The guy had laser eye surgery and finally could see the punches coming, he was literally so hard for sight in fights that he and I quote "had to feel his opponent in order to know where they were" - this should give you a little better idea of why he fought the way he did, and why his movement and defense seems to be so much better.

Ib both those losses, Eddie and Dustin had to go through hell and back in order to pull of the victory, and they were each 1 or 2 clean leg kicks away from being stopped themselves. For e.g. both Usman and Covington beat RDA, but RDA put up a hell of a fight in the Covington match whereas he didn't get anything done against Usman.
