Those who are Pentaholics are bound to be Home Fries (Home Free). They are like Pentatonix with a more country flare. They do pop and other genres too. Only 5 in their group as well. Coincidentally, Pentatonix won season 3 of the Sing Off and Home Free won season 4.

Lmao! It's true. So many of us are crossover fans of Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play. But I agree, Home Free is the group full of nuts! That's one of their most endearing traits. Their ability to make fun of themselves while staying respectful to others. No matter what! ❤
oh! oh, you should totally listen to Man Of Constant Sorrow, if you're checking out Home Free. like, it has an alligator in it :P air kisses from Canada!
Pentatonix and Home Free are good friends. Enjoy both rabbit holes. For Home Free I really like the following songs: Man of Constant Sorrow, and Fulsom Prison Blues.

Helplessly hoping is in my top favorites with them because it is so pure.
There is a video of Tim Foust called subwoof, I think. Beatboxer Adam Rupp has won World Champ x 2. Any Home Free are 🔥, Man of Constant Sorrow, Love Train, Butts Remix, In The Blood, on and on.
Boys to Men cover of "End of the Road" will blow your mind. Also check their track "Everybody Walikin this Land". Hella good messageto it and Tim's comment at the end really sum it up.
More Home Free, please !!.....my fav acapella group !!......i like Pentatonix and Voiceplay as well, but i am a home fry at heart !!!.......u will NOT be disappointed........such pure voices !!
Try Man of constant sorrow. In my opinion is Home Free the best acapella group, they do all genres of music
The best way to get to know both groups is to check out the sing off season 3, pentatonix, and season 4, home free

And I believe Peter Hollens was in Season 2 with his college group and made it to the top 4 I think, but went home.
Home Free is the other of the two best a cappella groups in the world, along with Pentatonix. Pentatonix generally does more dance and pop music, while Home Free leans more country, folk and roots music...but BOTH groups are known for their often diverse styles. Home Free bass singer Tim Foust (he was the one who hit that last note) and Avi are very good friends, and that's what led to this collaboration. Avi has also made non-singing cameo guest appearances in other Home Free videos as well. Tim actually gave pointers to Avi in using his growl voice that allowed Avi to lower his register even more than it already was, while Avi gave Tim pointers in using his operatic bass voice. This song was recorded several years before Avi left Pentatonix, but in hindsight, I think that a very big hint was left out there on this video that he might depart someday. The type of music that Home Free generally records is closer to the type of music that Avi now performs in his solo career, and is more the type of genre that he always preferred. In the last shot of the video, Avi can be seen removing his signature beanie cap and replacing it with a cowboy hat while smiling widely. This was a sign that this was the type of music that Avi really wanted to perform.
Next up Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust doing Misty Mountains from The Hobbit.

I really have fun watching you light up like a Christmas tree. Love ya big dogg .
Man of Constant Sorrow has wicked sound effects also.
Welcome to the world of the Home Fries. Just like with PTX, I don't think you'll find a bad Home Free video. As you get to know them, you'll find their quirky sense of humor at the forefront of many of their videos. Personally, I think they have done some of their best work during the quarantine. Also, like PTX, only one change in the group since they began. It was originally founded by Chris Rupp with his brother, Adam, the beatboxer. Chris left to pursue other interest when they brought in Adam Chance (usually called Chance so as not to confuse him with Adam the beatboxer). Chance was singing bass in another group but usually takes the baritone parts with HF. Tim Foust, the bass, is the guy that hit the last note in this video. Their high tenor is Austin Brown who is also doing a lot of great work on his own, but still a big part of HF. Check out their recent cover of When A Man Loves a Woman and you will get to see Austin shine (kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6StybKmlqq3prg.html). And last, but definitely not least is Rob Lundquist, the other tenor with a beautiful crystalline tamber. I see a lot of oldies but goodies noted in many of the other comments. More recent pieces I love are Helplessly Hoping, Folsom Prison Blues (note the height lines), 50th anniversary edition of American Pie recorded with the original artist Don McLean, How Great Thou Are for the sheer beauty of the song and the setting, and Man of Constant Sorrow. Wait to do Mayday until you get to know them better. Have fun. Nice to have another Pentaholic join the Fries.
Home Free has their own rabbit hole..LOL..There is a video of Adam Rupp live, doing a "drum solo"..LOL Definitely check them out!!!
This is a GREAT song…I’ve watched it many times…
Check out their Butts Remix. Hilarious!
I am so glad that you have had a sample of Home Free now, but you have not seen anything yet! Home Free's base singer's name is Tim, their beat boxer's name is Adam, their tenor with the reddish auburn hair color is Austin, the singer with they beard and glasses is Rob and the other singer with the short dark colored hair and facial hair is Chance (his name is Adam Chance but since there is already an Adam he goes by Chance. The original founder of the group is named Chris and he is brothers with Adam the beat boxer, he left the group in good standing four or five years ago I think, that is why Chance joined the group. (Chris is in this video not Chance though). Similar to Avi leaving Pentatonix. Home Free has been around for over thirteen years, they gained much popularity after winning The Sing Off seven years ago. They sing a wide range of music genres but they are known for their country style. Another great song of theirs to get an idea of their talent is Boys to Men's song End of the Road, they do a fantastic job. Another great song they do is All About that Base! I bet that you will become a big fan of this group too as their talent is at the same level of quality as Pentatonix.
Another acapella group that you will LOVE!!! Yes...please react to the many others that they've done. Just like Pentatonix's songs and videos...there is not a single bad one in the bunch. You will absolutely love Home Free too!!
Love Home Free guys, check out their catalog of music! Might want to try End of the Road
Home Free is my #1 Acapella group, hands down! And they are a close 2nd to my favorite group of all time, The Bee Gees. I love HF doing "Amazed". It really is AMAZING!!!💜👍👏🤗
As a Pentatonix super fan myself, I have to admit Home Free is right up with them. Home Free’s beatboxer, Adam Rupp, is in a league all his own. As you watch both groups you will find Home Free does a lot of fun songs, along with lots of country songs. Their two tenors, Austin Brown, & Rob Lundquist have beautiful voices. Check out “Never Gonna Give You Up”, you’ll see what I mean. I really enjoy your reactions.
I say pentatonic and home free run hand in hand, I love them both! You should try home free singing end of the road!
First time watching this so you and I experienced it together
You know me, ADogg, I am here for the country rap scene... but I am heavy into the a cappella scene, too. Yeah, you need to checkout more Home Free. "Man of Constant Sorrows" would be my suggestion. You're one of the few reactors I watch every second.
If you like the special sounds the they make check out Man of Constant Sorrow and you will hear beat box, harmonica, and a mouth harp from their vocal chords.
THE SING OFF - that's all I'm saying, the most exciting performances by both Pentatonix and Home Free - check it out, it's FIRE. 🎸🔥🗽
Yes check out the butt remix👍👊
Adam Rupp is the beatboxer. He is a full drum set all by himself.
They can sing anything.
Definitely more Home Free please. A little pop ("Country-fried Pop Medley"). A little R&B ("End of the Road"). A little rap ("Butts Remix"). A little patriotism ("God Bless the USA" feat Lee Greenwood and the USAF band). A little doo-wop and dancin' ("Blue Ain't Your Color"). A little romance ("When a Man Loves a Woman"). A little country ("Take Me Home, Country Roads" and "Meet in the Middle"). A little straight up harmony ("Helplessly Hoping" and "Good Ol' Country Harmony"). A little gospel ("How Great Thou Art" and Peter Hollens feat Home Free "Amazing Grace"). Some original humor ("Champagne Taste On a Beer Budget"). Something for the kids ("Try Everything"). Lots of Christmas and a little of everything else (pick anything-it's all good). No "Mayday" though until you've listened to 7-10 songs, enough for you to know them a little and their typical ranges to fully appreciate what they do in that one. You like sounds? Beatboxing? Theirs is Adam Rupp, one of the best in the world. React to one of the videos of his solo work that he does at their concerts. It's mindblowing! Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free! Your Home Fry status is pending...

100% agree with almost everything here Wendi! I would just say it should be 10-15 songs instead of your suggestion, but that's only if they are 10-15 songs with the present lineup! In other words with Chance and not Chris! Those with Chris are completely added songs! 😜👍😎
Home Free’s “The Butt Remix” is a must!
Yahoo! Home Free! You have another sub! They have so many for you to react to!! Um, OK. Try Everything, End of the Road, Man of Constant Sorrows, Hillbilly Bone, Sea Shanty Medley, and Mayday (save Mayday for last!!!) are my favorites. Oh, and American Pie with Don McLean! There used to be a tv show called the Sing Off. It was like American's Got Talent but only for a cappella groups Pentatonix won season 3 of the Sing Off. Home Free won season 4. There is video of PTX coming to talk with Home Free before the season 4 finale. Home Free mostly does country music. There is a large overlap between Home Free fans and PTX fans. I was wondering when you'd get to Home Free.
Home Free is another great acapella group like Pentatonix. Every bit as phenomenal, except they bill themselves as the only "country" acapella group. However Home Free can pull off any type of song - not just country. So get ready for another rabbit hole! By Home Free, I would highly suggest, Man of Constant Sorrow, Butts Remix, In the Blood, Everybody Walkin' This Land, and you've GOT to react to their cover of the classic Boyz II Men song, End of the Road! And, if you want to see another Home Free video that has a cameo appearance by Avi Kaplan again, react to Champagne Taste. You will have TONS of songs to react to - just like Pentatonix! And if you are really getting into acapella music, there are two more excellent acapella groups, named VoicePlay and Voctave! (Don't mean to overwhelm you - take your time. We will be here!)

Welcome to another rabbit hole....there are many Home Free songs that show off all their abilities...Man of Constant Sorrow, End of the Road, American Pie ft. Don McLean, Butts Remix, Country Fried Pop Melody, When a Man Loves a Woman, Sea Shanty Melodies...Austin Brown (high Tenor) has his own solo projects as well, Tim Foust (Bass) has done a lot of collaborations with Peter Hollins and others, Rob Lundquist is the lyrical Tenor has a soulful silky voice, Adam "Chance" is the baritone that can cover bass as well who replace Chris Rupp (co-founder of the group) who left for a solo career, and Adam Rupp the beat boxer who is a living drum kit and nick named "Freak of Nature" for his ability to mimic authentic drum kits as well as many other instruments....aka a Harmonica in Man of Constant Sorrow and Folsom Prison Blues. Both PTX and Home Free compliment each other in the Genre's they do and you can't get any better than these two!

Between Avi's smooth, dark notes and Tim's earth shaking rumble, I'm wondering how many babies were born 9 months after the release of this cover?
New Subscriber here! Home Free is: Earlier Years Chris Rupp (usually wearing a Cowboy Hat & always smiling) and Adam Rupp, the Beatboxer founded the Group. Chris went Solo in 2016 with which he is doing Very Well! Adam Chance who goes by Chance was brought in to replace Chris! Chance is the Baritone that has a 4 Octave Range. He can replace Tim, the Group's Bassist when needed as Chance was the Bassist in his previous Group before Home Free. Back to Adam Rupp, he's the incredibly talented Beatboxer and can sing well too! His Beatboxing is above and beyond any other Beatboxer that I have seen! He's also won several Beatboxing Championships to boot!😁😁 Now to Tim, the Group's Bassist has a 5 Octave Range so he can Lead the Group as a Bassist or a Tenor or something in between! He's Phenomenal and he's also taught some other Bassists from other Acapella Group's to be able to do certain things that allow them to get Lower and hit Notes they weren't able to before now. The Bearded Singer is the Group's Tenor and he is Awesome! Such a Creamy Tone and at times his Range is incredible too! To end the Group's Members is Austin the Group's High Tenor. This man is unbelievable! He can hit the highest of the highest of notes and he still can do Low Notes almost Baritone standards! Now hopefully you can get caught up with the Group's Members!
You need to listen to "Man of constant sorrow" and "butt's remix", the second one is funny.
