Just wanted you to know that because I am addicted to your videos, I have been checking on the collectables that my family has amassed. I found out that I have two Wade Wimsey English houses that I bought at Bluck's in Bermuda. Thanks for letting me see the beauty in collectables that I neglect to notice in my own home.

I think every family needs a punch bowl set. Sucks to find space to store them but I used mine every birthday and other parties when my kids were growing up. Sherbet in 7 up makes a fantastic easy punch that the kids loved! We still have it out every Christmas Eve at my in laws too. They are fun and festive, set an instant party mood even if you can’t do a lot of decorating or gift buying. Plus you can serve a monster salad in them too

Griswold and Wagner are the names to look for in cast iron cookware. The holy grail is the Griswold 3 inch frying pan that is not the ashtray. Those can be in the thousands of dollars. The most expensive is the Erie Spider frying pan size 13. Spiders stood on 3 tall legs to hold the cooking food above the flame when cooking was done without a stove or range top. I have only found those as reproductions.

The history generally is interesting I’m in the U.K. and between 1884 and 1943 the Glasgow factory produced 36 million machines ! There was a pause for WW1 when the factory made munitions and other metal war supplies In 1960s the factory here employed 16,000 people but sadly by June 1980 it was all over for the factory which had been the world’s largest sewing machine factory and it was demolished in 1980

I live in Waterford, Ireland. The company Waterford Crystal was the the main employer for decades. Closed down years ago but some of the cutters and blowers set up a new company with the same name. The original premises is a run down ruin now. Hundreds lost jobs. economic ruin resulted in Waterford City as a result of the closure. Any glass pre closedown is worth a lot more than the new pieces. ❤️

love the glass mushroom! always am keeping my eye out for one at a thrift store. I think this is the first time I've seen you grab a mushroom item (have only been a viewer for a few months) but they are my obsession (merry mushroom, arnels, etc)

The clock you purchased is typically sold at Things Remembered and are usually given as corporate gifts. It would have had a gold colored engraved plague in the top. They typically ran around $65.00 + engraving. Love your shopping trips to Goodwill. Your channel helps satisfy my urge to shop. lol. I love looking to see what other Goodwills have compared to what we have here in Pittsburgh. Love your channel!!

I absolutely loved that Noah Christmas ornament! Also- Lodge is a great cast iron brand, but most definitely a booth item, as I cannot imagine paying shipping for one! The thing with cast iron, however, is most people want it clean & seasoned, so there is some work that goes into preparing them for sale. (at least, in my experience!) Thanks for sharing with us! You are appreciated! xo from Oregon

These people are the only people who have permission to harvest the sweetgrass. Getting caught taking it can cost you hundreds in fines. As a matter of fact, it's illegal to even walk in the banks where it grows.

One other bit, Tidewater Gechee was the dialect used in the Broadway musical operetta, Porgy and Bess. My personal dialect is somewhere between Southern Coastal areas of Charleston and Savannah. Think Rhett Butler.
