I got goosebumps when Noa gets up after the beating at the end🤩🙌🏻

I enjoyed it too. This movie makes me happy to know that there are still people who know how to tell a good story with empathetic characters in Hollywood.

I would say that he is a very good at visuals and making the world seem real. So I had no doubt that I would love the movie visually. He did pull off this movie. It’s in my top 3 of the franchise. Can’t wait to see what he does in Zelda

Dune 2 is still playing in some theaters. Don't miss it. Honestly, I think this one is better than Dune in terms of emotion and characters

I just saw it. I wasn't blown away, but it was still thumbs up good. Very well and thoughtfully written. The pacing was good. The soundtrack was AWESOME and visually 🔥.

Awesome to hear very much looking forward to seeing it I rewatched the original 1968 film and then jumped ahead to the reboot trilogy cause not all of the og films were available to watch in my region I ended up really enjoying the recent trilogy of films and this one has me intrigued don't know why but there's just something about the post apocalyptic aesthetics that i really like with urban city's overgrown in tropical forests

I like it as much as the 1968 and rise. Better than dawn and war in my opinion, but most people prefer war and dawn to rise.

I love the Planet of The Apes franchise, I loved this film and I will definitely see it again, also I love Jaby and Achara’s feedback on the film.

Now, Imagine if the movie could have actually been a prequel to "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" from the '70s. It makes you wonder about those mysterious people living underground away from the ape city. Where did they all come from, and where on earth did they find that Alpha Omega Doomsday Bomb? It truly adds this layer of intrigue and connects the dots between the two movies. I mean, those people had been living underground for centuries, hidden from the intelligent apes, plotting and preparing for who knows what. It like this new movie kind of answers all those questions, Anyway, that's my impression of it.

I felt hints at that as well. I hope this trilogy comes full circle. One of the things that bothered me about War was they seemed to be making it connect to the original 68 and I knew it was far too soon and one helluva reach. I hope they do a better job than the Beneath movie. They were too far ahead of their time in Beneath and couldn't put it to screen properly (of course, I watched it 40 something years after its release so I can't appreciate it in its time).

Interesting you thought it was slow or "taking it's time" - I thought the opposite. I thought it didn't give us enough backstory and just threw us into each new scene without enough info. I didn't think it was "fast paced", I just thought it was lacking context and I was constantly trying to fill in the blanks in my head, which made it feel like I needed this movie to slow down and explain more

For me its the audience always laughing over the movie dialogue especially bad in comedies they'll laugh at one thing then the actual punchline happens and I can't hear because of the laughter

Just watched the movie in IMAX today, no trailer or spoilers, low expectations going in. I was pleasantly surprised and thought it was great. Agree with you 100% about the pacing. A few friends of mine (who are action junkies) thought Dune 2 was 'slow paced' - I think it's become an overused buzzword when critiquing films nowadays. Whatever happened to just good storytelling? Every second doesn't need to be an action sequence.

It's a Telescope. They were probably looking at stars and space. Mae brought a Server hard drive that the humans needed to communicate using the satellites because they wanted to find other humans.

That what I thought first time because the look and the birthmark. But Noa doesn't know story about Caesar even their elders. If he is a descendant of Caesar, at least he knows Caesar names and the stories about him from his clan, but he doesn't.

The reviews say that this isn't an action movie, but a character-focused adventure film. i.e. hardly any action, except for a few minutes near the end... which reviews say is the weakest part of the movie. The rest of the movie is a walk-n-talk adventure film i.e. the main group just travels/adventures through the country (like, say, the middle portion of _War of tPotA_ ), which some people may find boring in places, especially if you don't much care for character drama. So, to answer you question: No.

I didn't watch the Cesar trilogy until Wes ball who I'm a huge fan of due to maze runner was announced as director. I think this one is as good as rise and much superior to dawn and war. On par with the 1968 original. Rise 9/10 Kingdom 9/10 1968 9/10 Conquest 8/10 Dawn 8/10 War 8/10

Why didn't you sit together?

I loved this movie all the way through but i spent too long on a couple of things...Meg / New Nova at first lloked like a child (maybe 13 or so) then young adult but near yhe final act she was full on adult (wasnt sure how to phrase this without giving spoilers). Also, the orangutan put me so much mind of the one in the Rise trilogy and he even talked like he lived the part of Caesar's clan so part of me thought he was THAT orangutan (mainly because they didnt specify how much time actually passed....just a generalization). And Noah's brother or friend or whatever looked like bad ape in War. A few looked like Koba minus the scars. Stuff like this distracted me from the movie but im on board like you.... possibly the best poa movie in the franchise. I cant wait for the future and hope if they milk the franchise, itll be grade A Prairie Farm milk, not Great Value brand 1 percent chocolate milk.

You could just accept that you can't control what other people do and ignore it.

To a movie that’s not even out yet….

Was so bored. Watched 40 minutes then walked out. Not much of a story. Ape village was rubbish. Didn't see one human

The effects were great. The acting was great. The writing was mid and lazy. May somehow knew how to reignite and ENTIRE military ship with zero prior knowledge of anything, and she somehow overpowered an ape on the bridge.. That was BS.

Kingdom is just a regular movie, is not that good, the trilogy was a masterpiece. Wes Ball is just a bad director.

Terrible boring movie. Most people fall asleep. I dont believe you that you liked it.

I saw it last night and…I was bored, especially the first half. I literally had a hard time staying awake. I do think the “industry folks” all got the message to promote this one. Hollywood is dying and a lot of these channels do need to promote mediocre movies. This will not be nominated for any best picture awards but by the way people are talking you’d think it would be. They need these good reviews to get more of these made and I guess mission accomplished.

Your comment about “the industry folks” insinuates an idea akin to people getting paid for their review. I don’t know anyone who has been paid for a film review (that I’m aware of). Not much done to incentivize a positive review. They invited us to watch the film and we did. I gave my honest feedback, Achara gave hers. Not that deep. You didn’t love it. We don’t have to have the same opinion. It’s not a conspiracy. You can’t win these days. If ya like something, it’s a paid review and you’re afraid to give your honest review. If you dislike something, you’re a hater.
