On overbearing attempt at using ALL components of "great" speeches: rules of three, comparisons, anecdotes, relating questions, leading answers, rhetorics, more rules of three, a summary, a tagline/hook repeated, alliteration. It just sounds like an 11 year old has written it to secure marks - without caring how it actually sounds or comes across.

That's it. You nailed it I reckon. That's why she comes across so uncanny. It's like a poorly written novel can be boring and bland for the same reasons; The author follows all the rules of story building to a T like plot, subplot, hero's redemption arc, a romantic interest and a tragic event etc. But there's zero passion or imagination gone into the thing. Her speeches are like that. She's like an AI doing "politician". It's the final stage of establishment brain-rot on display.

We expect more of any government/minister - and she's definitely not fit to be in any part of the government. I guess she took "if they can do it, so can I" far too literally, because she's trying to play the part without actually knowing the point/plot of the role she wants to assume. Absolute detritus, and Fishy Rishi is the same. None of them have a clue what it's like to struggle.

To be fair, most politicians have these scripts written for them and you barely notice it for most people. She's just so wooden and unconvincing as a speaker. It's concerning as a viewer because you rarely see someone so uninspired and unconvinced by their own politics.

I had hoped we'd seen the end of weekly Tory scandals/goofs, but it seems with Truss it's about to be turned up to 11 - and she's not even PM yet. Couldn't come at a worse time. God help us all.

It’s genuinely terrifying that the next PM is going to be Truss or Sunak, both are awful but which is the least worse? I genuinely have no idea.

Either way is bad. Sunak seems to have more of a clue generally, but that makes him more evil because he knows what he's doing. We can give Truss the benefit of the doubt due to her stupidity, but then we'll end up with an incompetent PM if she wins. We either get evil or incompetent, there's no winning for the public this time

@@isaacthompson3600 Thats my worry, we’re stuffed whichever option the Tory members vote for. Reckon Truss would easily be influenced by the media as well. It’s frankly astounding that since the they came back into power in 2010, the qualify of their leader/PM has just seemed to continue on a downward spiral and none of them were great to begin with!

@@jamesarnold7253 while that is probably the case, I don’t think someone who is that obscenely rich will ever actually understand the struggles of the working class with regards to an economic budget, they’ll just get richer while the working class have to tighten their budgets more and more.

If she could be PM, I could for sure be PM too. Anyone can. You can. And you, and you, and you, EVERYBODY.

She reminds me of a school bully in that she'll lie through her teeth, and then attack the character of anyone who questions her. She's just going to be Boris without the wit. EDIT: I was going to write charm but I knew you'd complain so I put wit... bad choice of words.. what I meant to say was that she isn't entertaining like Boris. However, until this year I did have her on par with Fabricant for her buffoonery.

Dizzie-Lizzie is so dense she bends light! I got as far as 1 minute 45 seconds and had to give up. Nearly two minutes of my life I'll never get back. Having said that, I want The Dizzie to be the next PM - for the obvious reason of guaranteeing the destruction of the Conservative Party.

I love how she criticizes how her school failed so many and wasn't good enough when it was the Tories in charge, and much of her education was in fact under Goddess Maggie so she's literally discrediting her own party and her own God. She could probably lay off too on the psychoactive drugs
