I just got engaged 💍 yesterday!!!...I cried, he cried....he ended up doing it while we were home right after the new year countdown. It was so sweet!

This was soooo helpful! I got engaged last night!!! He set up a beautiful display at the crystal shop that made my ring under the ruse that they were having a fluorescent crystal show that night. It was so perfect and I definitely sobbed :')

My fiancé popped the question on December 5th 2020. He did it at a Christmas tree farm. Him, My sis, and some of our friends decorated the tree the night before. There was a ornament on the tree with my name on it he told me to take it off the tree and open it. He got down on one knee and on the Inside of the ornament it said will you marry me!!

My fiancé did something suuuuuper similar! He put a small sign that he made (which I’m still impressed he made, it looks store bought!) on the tree and I had to go grab it. It said will you marry me and then I immediately blacked out and don’t remember the rest 😂😂

My FIANCE (hehe) just proposed last month. My birthday is December 3rd and his is the 9th, so we've always had the 6th as "our" birthday. He told me he wanted us to go to his parents' house for pizza because his sister was in town and he wanted to celebrate our birthday with everyone. I told him I didn't want to go and would have ruined everything if I had tried to put my foot down 😂 Anyway he forced everyone to sing us happy birthday while we conducted and then he told me he got me a present but it was more for him than me. Went behind the door for a minute and came out on one knee 😊 Apparently he was freaking out every time I got a piece of pizza because the ring was hidden in the cabinet right above it and he thought I was gonna find it.

Definitely not new to the channel but am engaged as of October 17th. Surprisingly at fiances Brothers wedding. I know I know, not the typical place you expect to get engaged but long story short it was actually the brides idea and she practically begged my fiance to do it using her idea. He was originally going to propose once I finished graduate school in May when we go on a road trip to Maine but his mom found out and ended up telling his entire side of the family so he had to do it sooner then expected because his family cannot keep a secret to save their lives lol. His brothers fiance had kept asking him to do it at her wedding even before they decided on a date (she and his brother were engaged for 10 years and finally decided it was time). So he took her up on her offer. We went to the wedding and when they called for all the women to come up for the bouquet toss instead of throwing the bouquet the bride turned around and walked it to me. Me being the most innocent Naive person ever had no clue what was going on I was just like "oh ok she is walking towards me mhm weird but ok just go with it". The bride litterally had to tell me to turn around and when I did my amazing now fiance was down on one knee. I was so shocked (I wasn't expecting it for at least another 2 years or so) of course I said yes probably before he could fully get the words out lol. He had a ring custom made for me and imgraved with a phrase that is very special and unique to the both of us. He was so adorable lol I love him so much. Definitely my highlight of 2020

I got engaged on New Years Eve! I went to a family party and my nieces and nephews were holding signs that said “Will you marry Derek?” He came out and got down on one knee. I cried. He’s amazing. I am THRILLED to finally use these videos after watching for a year. ♥️

Waiting for that ring! We met on my 18th birthday in 2011 and are planning for a wedding perhaps on my birthday this October a decade later ! - and only long relationships won’t think it’s crazy to plan a wedding before an engagement haha!

I got engaged 2 weeks ago! I was proposed at a small botanical garden privately. Then later, we celebrated with our close friends at his place where he decorated night before. I did not cry at the proposal but definitely cried when people celebrated with me. it was a all surprise day and I really enjoyed it

I binged your entire channel this summer and my fiance proposed Dec. 11 '20!! He had me plan a Christmas party for all of our friends at his house, and after we finished setting up, he popped the question! He had me plan my own engagement party the entire time and I had no idea haha. Absolutely cried, and I am n o t a crier lol

I literally have a micro budget. I'm super proud of it, though, because as important of a day it is, it's only one day, and I'd like to use the bulk of our budget for building our lives. I'm sewing my own dress I've designed, going to DIY centerpieces I can use at home afterwards, and have an organized potluck. It's gonna be awesome!

Hi! Not new here but I just got engaged December 19th. We went to Botanical Gardens where I’m from and had my family and friends hide in bushes. We took “Christmas” pictures and then surprised me with a proposal.

been engaged for a week now (: I've been overwhelmed with the fact that we're in COVID times and don't know how things will look like in the future...

I just got engaged on New Year’s day at midnight. My fiancé made the day absolutely wonderful filled with small moments that made me smile. From filling up my car to getting me some organizational tools that I needed for my crafting, to watching a movie and just spending time together making dinner. We were on a video call with a bunch of friends to ring in the new year. At the stroke of midnight he said that he no longer wanted to be my boyfriend got down on one knee and opened up the ring case but instead of a ring there was a 20 sided die inside. He asked me to roll it and I rolled a 19, he told me I rolled high enough, and pointed towards his pinky. Turns out he had been wearing the ring upside down all day. I burst into emotion and said yes. The ring is a 47 year old small Diamond passed down from his grandmother. It’s absolutely perfect since I am the sentimental type when it comes to jewelry. It was honestly perfect. 😊

My bf proposed January 1, 2021 after 10 really great years together. What was once an out-of-reach, expensive event I never thought I could pull off, Jamie's vids make me feel so grounded, equipped, & excited :) I was the one who wanted to wait, wait, wait to pay off school loans & save for a nice sized wedding. I watched your vids in 2019 to start budgeting for a future (eventual) wedding. We come from traditional-ish Latin families & accepted...it's gonna be 120 folks *minimum*. Took a break from your content because other life stuff got in the way. Your channel was the first I came to once we got back home from our New Years vacay. I just got engaged to the love of my life. It was new years eve we were safely eith my family and watched the ball drop. He said come outside with me and I was like no itx vold then my mom told me no I should go. ( little did I know this man went to my parents and my siblings to ask for premision and had a plan.) We went outside and he got my a coat from the car before asking so amd 12:05 I said yes there were fireworks that wasnt ours but made it even more spectacular. We went back onside and had toilet paper thrown at us as they all yelled congrats (they forgot confeti)

Just engaged. He did it the 26th of Dec. His family Christmas present opening. His family films every year so it was perfect for gettimg it on camera. He did it at the very end. Spoke beautiful words and got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. I was emotional the entire time.

Jamie maybe you could do a video with a planner from somewhere with bigger season changes like someone from the northeast or midwest to talk about winter weddings because I feel like snow is a big obstacle sometimes.

Got engaged on our anniversary, 1st May 2020 🥰 He took me to a favourite spot of ours in our local woodland, surrounded by blue bells, had a picnic together and suddenly he got down on one knee and read me a lovely poem he wrote 😭 I was too shocked to cry but my exact words were ‘oh my god, oh my god, oh my f*cking god’ 🙈😅 so excited to get married!

I just got engaged!!! He took me to a park we’ve been on dates before and had a bridge and a large oak tree covered in lights. Hanging from a branch was a circular platter with the ring! It was perfect!

One of my close friends just sent me this video, and I am so grateful for it! This will be such great help! Thank you so much for the insight! I recently got engaged on Nov.21, 2020! My now fiance planned a balloon release in celebration of my dad's birthday, who passed away in 2019. My mom and friends were helping him plan it out, and it was to the point that I just thought my mom planned the release like the year prior. My family and friends were all there supporting us. Even family from out of state came into town. Right after I released my balloon, I turned around, and there he was on one knee. It was perfect! He knew I would have wanted my dad to be apart of it and the balloon release made it feel as though he was there.

I got engaged in Hawaii! On the walk down to the proposal spot, which was a 10 minute hike to a secret beach in Kauai, my fiancé ended up falling and twisting his ankle. He proposed 15 min later as his ankle is swelling up and bruising. It ended up being a full break that needed surgery… and he still proposed! I’ll keep him around, he clearly fell hard for me 😜

I got engaged yesterday, I proposed to my man first a few months prior, then he told me to pick out a ring and he bought it for me. So not traditional but we’ve been together for 5 years. He knows I don’t like secrets including engagements. So he just made it easy for me. ☺️

My fiancé proposed in front of friends and family on my birthday party and it was so freaking romantic!! He told our love story, the good and bad moments. I was crying so hard!! People got emotional too... I can't think of a better moment or company! :) I didn't see that coming! Greetings from Madrid, España.

I know y'all didn't ask me, so totally fair to ignore me. But, as a bride who had two, it really didn't make a lot of sense. I barely wore the ceremony one. I think a convertable dress would have been a better option. So just a thought! Good luck on your planning! It's so much fun!

I found you a couple years ago when I had just gotten engaged, fortunately that didn’t work out but I still loved your content and I actually just got engaged again a few hours ago so I’m back to watching for the purpose of wedding planning instead of for fun 😂

I got engaged 01/02/21 on our five years and five months anniversary. It was a big surprise!

my fiance and i got engaged in august 2020 when things were opening up a bit here in canada. he booked the day off work for me & took me to a castle. it was a thursday so nobody was there! we walked around the entire castle just the two of us, imagining what our lives would be like if we lived there aha, it was fun. and then we went outside & toured the garden where he saw an arch made out of vines. he pulled my arm and as i turned around he was down on one knee :') it was a fairytale moment. now we have our venue booked for 2022! excited to dive into more planning this year. :)

Our Story... 12/25/2020: Bae was so cute! We got up in the morning to open presents, and normally Lola (the precious pup)always gets her gifts first, but he insisted that I should get to open my gifts first this year. When I asked him why, he said it was because he had a surprise for me. When I asked him what the surprise was he said “guess what babe?!“ I responded, “what?!” and he said “we’re getting married!“ I immediately became confused, and then he got down on one knee and grabbed my hand and told me he had a ring. I felt like I was having an out of body experience. He just kept saying that we were getting married and asking me if we could get married. Then he fumbled around to put it on the right finger. It was so cute, and so perfectly us. I spent the rest of the morning screaming into my phone! What a phenomenal Christmas!!!

We are in a LDR and I was helping him move closer, our anniversary fell during our road trip across Canada. On the morning of our anniversary, he told me that I could open my present after I ate breakfast. It was a photo album with pictures of us and our friends from the past two years(I was already crying) and when I got to the last page, the ring was tied into the album, I threw the book onto the bed when I saw he was in his knees and cried pulling him into the biggest hug. It took me a min before I could actually say yes! He did well!

I've been subscribed for a while but I can finally use your videos for their original purpose lol I got engaged on October 18 at the grand canyon. My now fiance was out in AZ for work so I drove down to visit him as he was lonely after working there for a month and living in a hotel room. We hiked along the south rim for a while and then as I was standing on an edge, I turned around and he was on his knee with the ring. He actually didn't really "ask" me anything and I didn't actually "answer", but we cried together and the rings been on my hand ever since lol

I've been watching your videos for years and I got engaged to my childhood sweetheart on Christmas! It was absolutely perfect. Our families were there and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. I got engaged 3 weeks ago. In the middle of Downtown Atlanta at my favorite, park Piedmont. My best friend LIED to me, and said we were going to a day party with a color schemed dress code. (I gave much push back). He had a driver pick us up from her house (I thought her male friend did it). I was blind folded a block from the park. My fiancé said he was in Florida. So when I was unblind folded, to my surprise my family from out of town as well as his out of town parents were there. Along with our supportive friends. He got my dad to come from out of town ‼️ Whom I had not seen in 2 yrs, and..andddd he had not met in person yet 😱. I had not seen my divorced parents in the same room in about 8yrs. What a day. The little girl in me is healed. Now I’m stressed about this wedding planning. My wedding is in 366 days away (today is 9/22/23, wedding day is 9/23/23) 😳

I just found your channel. I got engaged a few weeks ago to the man I've been with for almost 4 years now. We had been talking about a ring for months. What I didn't know is that he had already bought the ring. We had a vacation to Monterey planned. On my birthday we went whale watching, had an amazing seafood dinner and drinks and went to go see a band. We walked outside from watching the band and walked down some stairs towards the ocean. He acted like he had gotten me a birthday gift, so I was quite surprised when I opened a small box he handed me and it was an engagement ring! He knew that would be the only way to surprise me 😆 It was a perfect day and was so romantic. He asked me if I'm ready to be Mrs. Gottlieb and got on his knee. ❤ An unforgettable day. My bf of 10 years proposed on Christmas Day. I definitely was not expecting it because he was feeling really sad Christmas eve and day since it was his first holidays without his mom who passed away earlier in the year and his grandmother had gone to the hospital that day as well. So in my mind, I just wanted him to take care of himself. We decided to go see Christmas lights to get us in the holiday spirit and came across a big red glowing star. He talked about his family, being thankful for me, and just as we were leaving since other people were wanting photos with the star he said wait, got down on one knee and proposed 🥰🥰

I’ve been watching your videos forever but now I’m so excited bc I feel more prepared than ever to start my wedding planning process all thanks to you! 💗💗💗

I recently got engaged on 12/21/20. My fiancé, Ruben, and I have been together for about 3.5 years. I'm a single mom with two kids (ages 8 and 7) and my youngest daughter is on the spectrum. Over a year ago we had planned to take a vacation to see the Grand Canyon for Christmas break with the kids. We planned it for months... but then the spikes in covid cases in both CA (our home state) and AZ (where the Grand Canyon is) made us cancel our trip last minute. My Ruben was sooooo upset, which is so unlike him. He's the logical, grounded one and I'm more emotional and whimsical. He begged for us to at least do something go somewhere. We changed our trip last minute to Big Bear because we know that area really well, the kids love it, and we know where to go and what times to stay social distanced. Driving up to Big Bear, I got super car sick. Ruben's asking me questions on what activities we can do, is there going to be snow, should we do a helicopter ride... and I finally just told him, I'm super carsick, I can't look at my phone, all I want is for the family to have a good time and I'm happiest with you guys. We finally get to Big Bear. Ruben pulls into the village for lunch and he sees a giant Christmas tree on display. He suggests we go check it out and take some pictures of the girls in front of it. Then he says "Oh wait, I forgot my wallet in the car for lunch. Go on ahead, I'll be right there." I'm taking pictures of the girls in front of the tree. They are hugging, then making silly faces, then dosing weird poses... You know, kids being kids. Ruben meets up with us and he says "Get in there. You never get your picture taken." So now I'm posing with the kids. We're all smiling and laughing. Having a good time. Ruben then says "Oh girls, I have a great idea, come here for a second." He crouched down with his back turned and he's whispering. He pulls out something colorful out of his pockets. The girls squeal excitedly. I'm super confused and thought he handed them poppers. I'm thinking to myself "Did he find leftover ones from the 4th of July and he's reminding the little one to not aim it at anyone's face?" Suddenly, the kiddos come running over, screaming "Ribbon got us ring pops!! Look!! See?! Ribbon got us ring pops!!" ...Ring pops? They still make those? Ruben is right behind them and he pulls a little black box out of his pocket, opens it up, and says "I got one for you too." (*Note: the girls call Ruben "Ribbon" because when they first met, my youngest asked if Ruben was a Spanish name and then informed him that she doesn't speak Spanish so she'll call him by his English name. I guess she thought Ribbon and Ruben sound similar, so that is his nickname now. He loves it and thinks it's really cute. My entire family calls him Ribbon. My girls call his parents Mama Ribbon and Papa Ribbon. Even Ruben's mom calls him Ribbon now. Everyone just thinks it's super cute.) I instantly start crying. I was so surprised and had no idea it was happening. I'm asking him "Is this real? Is this a joke? Are you kidding me right now? But like, for real? Are we being serious right now?" He's laughing at me crying, waiting for me to calm down, and finally asks "So will you marry me?" I think I said something like "Oh my god, duh!" The entire time the poor guy had been planning on proposing at the Grand Canyon. Ruben spent a year planning it in his head. He saved up all the money he needed for the ring so we wouldn't have payments on it. Then he worked for months customizing my ring with his dad who is a jeweler in secret which is so hard to do during a pandemic and you are around the person you are trying to surprise 24 hours a day. He had to cancel a photographer in AZ last minute. He had to cancel the nice airbnb in AZ. He had to book something in Big Bear on the fly and try to come up with a whole new proposal. When he called the girls over, he didn't just say "Here's some candy, I want to ask your mom to marry me". He actually had a whole proposal for them. He told them how much he loves them and how he wants to be a part of their family forever. That he loves their mom and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. He asked if he could be their bonus dad and if it was okay with them that he marries their mom. It was so sweet that he included them and the girls were so excited about it. Literally, the best proposal ever. Wedding date is 3/17/22!!!

I loathe surprises so I knew this was coming for a minute now and I've been watching a few of your videos! We got officially engaged on the 4th in the car lol. I just got engaged September 1st 2022. My now fiancé (together for over six years) planned his birthday trip that was really a surprise proposal for me. He rented a yacht and proposed to me on the dock at sunset with a photographer capturing the whole thing. The week leading up to our trip my fiancé kept saying “I know what I want for my birthday” then would say socks ect, so when he proposed he started off by saying “I know what I want for my birthday” (then proceeded to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him) My fiancé had his brother and my best friend travel to our location (almost three hours) and hide out on another yacht to surprise us with champagne,flowers and candles all over our boat. Needless to say I was in complete shock! Definitely something out of a fairytale. Turns out my fiancé, fiancés brother and best friend have been planning this for the last month and a half. I just got engaged last night!!! my FIANCE asked me to come inside his place because he misplaced something. him and I been talking about marriage since we started dating because it was a goal for our relationship, so I went in and sat on his bed, he got on his knees searching and then he said to me, "I wanted to do this better but didn't know how, and I wanted to do it in August but I just cant wait anymore and I cant hide it from you anymore." then he showed me his mothers ring and asked "do you still want to marry me?" and I said "yeah but put that away you still have to ask my father for permission and his blessing." and he replied "I already did, and he already prayed over us." and then I was like "what?! you asked already?! is this really happening?" and boom! got the ring, I didn't cry, I was just really giddy and couldn't believe it that it was hard for me to go to sleep cause all I wanted to do was stare at my beautiful ring. Im 34 years old and this was something I have always dreamed about and had the desire to be married and he was definitely worth the wait, we are gonna tell my parents and his parents the news tonight and its so hard to keep it in!

We got engaged on 11.11.20! 11:11 has always been a special set of numbers for us but for some reason this 11/11 I was so oblivious! Little did I know my then girlfriend had a whole thing planned! She has asked my bosses if I could be off early and asked my parents for their blessing. We had “date night” that night now that I was off early and decided to head to San Francisco. We were early for our dinner reservation so we found a spot to “watch the sunset”. We walked around Palace of Fine Arts and found a place to take pics and randomly heard music so we started dancing. After I said yes, I heard cheering and when I turned to look I was greeted by all of our friends who each had a flower for me. One of our friends had my mom and sister on FaceTime which made me cry even more. The final surprise was dinner that night and a bottle of champagne sent to our table from our bosses.

I just got engaged on Christmas Day, it was 11:57pm so almost not Christmas anymore haha. My fiancé is a truck driver and I live on the truck with him full-time, he pulled into a truck stop for the night in the middle of nowhere in Colorado and because it was Christmas the place was closed so we had the whole lot to ourselves, and as soon as he turned the engine off he turned the inside lights on and just started telling me how I was his best friend and he loves life with me and wants to be with me and love me forever and then he pulled the ring out of his shirt pocket! He meant to ask me earlier in the day in front of a great view but I was feeling sick and didn’t want to get out of the truck to go “see the view” as he put it 😂

My boyfriend, now fiancé, proposed to me this past weekend in South Lake Tahoe by the water fountain at the Heavenly shopping center near where the gondola is. I cried a little, I was so surprised I didn't know how to act. We both laughed about it. 😄

I had a terrible proposal. I ruined it 😭 lol Everyone was expecting me to cry tears of joy and have such a dramatic reaction. I just stood there awkwardly. Newly engaged! 10-15-21 Boyfriend since 2014 proposed 7 years later.. it was just us he has done family recording my surprise reaction. He set it up at his parents back yard, he was mic-ed up, ir was 7pm, lights and pictures everywhere, our “wedding song” playing in the background 😭❤️

I’ve been watching for a few months and now I’m actually engaged! We got engaged on December 23rd 2020. My then boyfriend took me up on a mountain overlooking the town where he lives. We drove up in the dark and he said we were gonna watch the sunrise. He set up a tea party for us (I love tea) but I had no clue because he’s always so sweet and that kind of thing is normal. He put the ring in a tea bag he’d previously emptied and gave me a special mug to use. The ring made a clink when I put in the mug (don’t worry, there was no water in the mug yet.) Then he pulled the ring out of the teabag, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect! The sun had just risen, there was some snow on the ground and fog in the valley below. Everything was sparkling! The snow, the trees, my diamond! The birds and my heart were singing. It was a wonderful winter wonderland! I also got a beautiful Christmas bouquet out of the day! I always thought I’d cry, but I didn’t. Sure haven’t stopped smiling though :-) The we really had tea, watched the sunrise and said I love you for the first time. I’m just so happy to marry my best friend! Definitely gonna use the amazing recourses you are giving us and I’m gonna need them, because we are getting married in April 2021. Thank you Jamie! I was proposed to in front of the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. It was so beautiful and intimate. It is so great to have someone that knows me so well. He knew exactly what I wanted. I cannot believe he is going to be my husband!!

On 09/24/2021 My boyfriend proposed to me in front of the HOGWARTS CASTLE!!!! With the ring in a GOLDEN SNITCH!!! (very important to the Harry Potter films) We are huge Harry Potter fans and it was also our first vacation together. It was my first time visiting Universal Studios - Orlando, his second, but he was so excited to see my first reactions to it all. We were both so excited, like little kids haha. He proposed the morning of our first full day in the parks, I cried, no, bawled! I was so happy.
