Thank you Gillian. I think Val's minimalist music embraces that sentiment, and enhances the visuals. The world may be going to pot, but the simplicity of embracing nature grounds us. It's what we need at the moment.

I was in need of being reminded the green will come back. It took from Sunday to Thursday afternoon to get 15 miles of road plowed plus my driveway. -18C now to go to -30C or colder tomorrow through the rest of the week. Going to town for groceries and then I just stoke the fires for awhile. Thank for the lovely tune and beautiful scenes. PS. -30C is much better than the above freezing nasty snow storm we had.

Skip, it sounds pretty bad up there in Fairbanks. The greenery always returns thankfully. How many hours of daylight do you get this time of year? Stay safe and warm, and thanks for the appreciation.

@@talesfromtheswansneck I forget what the shortest day is . 3 or four hours . I’d estimate about 6 hours now but with the snow it doesn’t really get to dark to see. If the moon shines it kinda hurts the eyes but it’s beautiful. I was a dog musher for many years.. hardly ever used the headlamp except for close work or a trail through thick over growth. I have a ridge to my South so the sun doesn’t raise and touch my house until the 6th of Jan. That’s only for 5 minutes or so. Often there’s clouds to the south but with the cold snap I should see it this year.

I know it's going to be a good new year when it is starting with tales from the swans neck. Here's to 25000 subs this year. It will be just a small part of what this channel should have viewing. Cheers

I would appreciate your talents being put to good use to produce more narrowboat travel videos.. You are exceptionally good at it and there is a serious drought of decent video production lately, , there's trash but very little good work.. 👍

Thanks Gary, and believe me I had noticed the trash! My videos do take a long time to produce, from research, filming, scripting, editing, and voice-overs. It can't be done quickly. There are more in pipeline, and I'm trying to put a couple out a month. Thanks for watching.

Is that Val as in Valentino, or Valerie? Or Valentina? It's hard to tell. Somewhere in between maybe.
