No need to apologize! I'm a 49 year old grumpy dude and BABYMETAL has made me tear up or get very emotional many times...whether it be because of how moving the song is (this song, No Rain No Rainbow, The One) or because the specific performance was very special ("BABYMETAL Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014 UK" gets me emotional even though it's not a ballad, but it is a high energy song about bullying and Sonisphere was a special show for BABYMETAL). 🦊🤘

16 years old and Su could already express all that emotion with her voice. I made the video you watched, so I had to watch it over and over during the edit and subtitling and I was tearing up throughout the entire process. It always hits the same no matter how many times you see/hear it.

Dude, I'm a former death row prison guard. I spent 13 years in the military going through 3 wars and a humanitarian mission involving really skinny guys with AK47s trying to kill you. I'm a father of two, a grand father of 6, I've had a heart attack, triple bypass surgery, and survived 3rd degree burns and the resulting skin grafts. I'm a grown ass man whose seen the worst mankind has to offer....... and Su can regularly bring tears to my eyes. Don't sweat it. She has that effect on some people. Some of us just have enough empathy in our souls to really tune into it. I've seen the alternative, consider it a gift.

This version, has fast turned into my favourite.🥰🥰🥰 Su’s vocals are astonishing. Being emotional about a song is a strength, not a weakness! It means you feel. Isn’t that what music is supposed to be for? I often cry, when Su sings. She has this ethereal voice, that cuts through to your heart. “Don’t think, feel.” Is one of her quotes. 🤘🦊🤘

Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Likewise I teared up when I heard this song for the first time and still do as other viewers do. I learnt an English expression "have a lump in the throat" from this performance. I had never imagined that I would be taught by a 16-year-old girl a sorrow or heartbreaking emotion being occasionally incidental to love. Our souls are cleansed or purified by Su's voice. As I wrote comment in the other version, I witnessed Akatsuki performed live on Feb.19 at Budokan this year with Su's matured voice. I can't explain how beautiful it was with my vocabulary.

⚡ / 🔴 🌙 Su can really deliver a sad song. I'd love to see her in a dramatic role in a movie. She really knows how to dig deep and invest a performance with compelling emotion. The last two lines of the song, "Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!" are left out in this "Unfinished version". Here's the prologue to 'Akatsuki' in Legend "1997": In order to defend the soul of the Metal, in exchange for her own life, SU-METAL fought. Before long, SU-METAL's soul became the crimson flame, and dyed the sky crimson. However, as the distant stars go out, the end of life is the law of nature. Now the crimson moon is burning out with SU-METAL.

An honest reaction is all we can ask for, no appologies needed, actually, pretty much any Babymetal fan has gone through the same thing. :-) Suzuka/Su-metal is a master at conveying emotions. Be it sadness or happiness ,etc. She feels the music more than just singing it, she becomes the song. This is part of why we don't need to know the lyrics to understand them. She is the core and engine of Babymetal. She is an extreme talent. I don't know if you've noticed, but she actually had shed a tear. You can see it at 8:09. I don't know how she does it without her voice cracking, etc. That too is talent. At least one of her grandparents is actually a Hiroshima bomb survivor. I'm not sure if that's relevant but maybe it's how Suzuka/Su-metal is so good at channeling sadness. Her granddad supposedly said he is sometimes sad she is away all the time, she was extremely busy when that was written. But as you said he's extremely proud. What Babymetal does is unusual/unexpected and unique. They are literally record setters and holders. Their is something special about Babymetal and I think Su-metal is the secret ingredient. Kobametal is also very good, but i think couldn't have done it without her.

The reason you are getting a lot of views is because you are so honest and so clear in your observations of a song..... also as i said before you react from the heart. This is a perfect example. Su does this to everyone by the way.

First of all, no need to say sorry at all.. Tears should flow when you listen to a BABYMETAL song. That's one of the important factors 😄 And coming to our Queen, she's truly a goddess isn't she!! For me, her voice drives me the most than any of the instruments. It's truly mesmerizing 😍😭 Metal Goddess QUEEN SU-METAL ❤️❤️❤️🦊🤘

i hadn't seen this all piano version, and was expecting the kami band to kick in after the first verse. when it didn't happen i knew this was something special. such an emotional song with or without the kami band. for the record, though, the kami band version from the fox festival is amazing as well. it's a smaller venue than say budokan, and su-metal's commanding presence is astounding. every time i watch that video i'm blown away. would love to see your reaction to it as well.

Just my 2 cents worth, I've followed, Su, Yui , Moa and the rest of the Sakura Gakuin / BM gang ever since I discoverd their existence almost a decade ago. I've seen their journey form being labeled as "gimmicks", expected to fade away when all the hype dies, to being the absolute legends and performers that they are. Through ups and downs i.e Yui's departure, their hiatus and BUDOKAN!! I watched and rewatched their MV's, variety show appearances in Japan and their musical and performance roots all the way to Karen Girls , Su's first earliest Jpop group and nothing she has done moved me like this song. Her talent and passion for her performances and craft were apparent even during her early days, and the years have only served to polish them to the beautiful instruments, that she weilds so effortlessly in her performances. When I first heard this version without translation the year it was performed, the power of her emotions and voice moved me freely to tears, and when I found out what the lyrics meant, it's multitude of messages engraved itself in my mind an d heart. I still fight back the tears whenever I hear this song. I was disappointed that I could not find a copy of this song in its "unfinished" version" across multiple platforms (or maybe I just don't kknow where to look), but in a way it makes listening to this music special and meaningful, because of its scarcity across public sources. Thank You for a very honest and heartfelt reaction I deeply appreciated your respect for the song, by not interrupting it as it played, to let it fully sink in and allow you to revel, or perhaps wallow in the emotions that it draws out. More power to you and your channel.

Thank you for your comment. This song really is special. I still get chills when I listen to it. I normally pause videos to talk about what I've seen or heard so far but there are some songs that I just get so mesmerized by that sometimes I don't even think that I'm doing a reaction video and I just let it play uninterrupted. This is one of those songs. I was quietly being blown away by it and to pause that just felt wrong.

Imagine being at a stop light and this is blaring out your speakers. The people next to you see you with tears steaming down your cheeks. Listening to a song you are unable to sing along to because of the language. Just as I quit caring what other people think of my choice in music, you should quit caring about why people question your choices for reactions. It's your channel. If they don't want to watch or subscribe, it's their loss. This is a METAL love song not a top 40 pop song. But on the list of fan favorites this is right up there.
