Good reaction, thanks! Song's name, "Akatsuki" or "紅月 - ア カ ツ キ -" is actually the contraction of "akai + tsuki" (meaning "red moon" or more specifically, crimson moon) and is clearly a tribute to the song "Kurenai" by X-Japan. The kanji "紅" can be also read as "kurenai" and means "crimson red" (credits to Du-Metal). This is my favorite song of all time. And I don't see how it can be related to any "anime", to be honest. The fighting number during the guitar solo is a reminiscence from two other previous performances and It doesn't contribute much for a first reaction other than distracting you from the actual solo. They probably won't play it song anymore. But OTFGK. 🤘🦊

Welcome back, great reaction. 'Akatsuki' is one of Su-metal's solo songs (clearly since she was performing it alone). It pays homage to X Japan's song 'Kurenai'. There are several different performances of 'Akatsuki' including two occasions when she battled against somebody dressed as her (Legend D in 2012 I think was the first, she repeated that at Legend S in 2017). The two dancers who performed the fight choreo in this video were the dancers (affectionately named 'Muscle Metal' by the fans) who had supported Su and Moa throughout the 2018 tour when Yui was unable to tour. They came back specially for the 10th anniversary celebration concerts at the Budokan in 2021 where this video was filmed. Another version of this song is known as 'Akatsuki - Unfinished Version' which Su performed live only once - at the legend 1997 concert in 2013 celebrating her 16th birthday. That version is more like a slowed down acoustic version - Su accompanied by piano and violin - and it is very emotional. To help you with who is who in all the videos over the years (there has only been one change in members, so there have only been 4 members of BABYMETAL - Su-metal, Moametal, Yuimetal and now Momometal): 2010 to October 2017 - Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal. December 2017 (Legend S) - Su-metal and Moametal (Yuimetal took her doctor's advice and did not appear). March(?) 2018 to October 2018 - Su-metal and Moametal (Yui was still a member but was unable to tour) plus 2 dancers (Muscle Metal - who you saw in this video). October 2018 - Yuimetal announced she was still not fully recovered and she was leaving. Late October 2018 (Dark Night Carnival) - Su-metal and Moametal supported by 5 dancers (including the 2 Muscle Metal Dancers). Late 2018 - Su-metal and Moametal supported by one of the Dark Night Carnival dancers called Saya. June 2019 - March 2020 - Su-metal and Moametal supported by the Avengers (Riho, Kano and Momoko) taking turns to dance in the third spot. March 2020 to 1st April 2023 - Su-metal and Moametal supported by the only remaining Avenger Momoko. 1st April 2023 - Momoko revealed as the third member of the new BABYMETAL alongside Su-metal and Moametal, Momoko is now Momometal.

Including one where she fight a masked mirror version of herself. Babymetal you just never know what they're going to do. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises

The name BABYMETAL also serves as the name of a subgenre. BABYMETAL in the sense of a newly created genre.

O trio original formado pela Suzuka ,Moa e Yui não existe mais,desde a saída repentina da Yui. As remanescentes são Su & Moa. Já tiveram incontáveis meninas de apoio em seus shows. As mais famosas foram chamadas "AVENGERS", um trio formado por Kano ,Riho* e Momoko** ,que atuaram em shows pela turnê mundial 2018-19-20,nos USA,Europa e Ásia. In the historical context this performance was beyond epic and very much needed. The 10 concerts at Budokon in 2021 were basically the only live music happening on the whole planet thanks to the Covid crap. Su was singing to everyone. 👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾

Eu assisti BM ao vivo e foi sensacional. Sumetal ao vivo e perfeita e as outras duas meninas cantando (Moametal e Momometal) e dancando e fazendo o publicar pparticipar e eletrizante. Eu recomendo vc assistir a versao de Headbanger do aniversario de 20 anos da Moametal.(e chamado Moabanger) e sensacional. Um abraco.

Kanji is so difficult, not many Japanese can read all the kanji correctly 😊I'm one of them 🤣.

I think Akatsuki and Amore are songs that symbolize SU-METAL. I believe she is the best performer in the world.
