Every BABYMETAL song is different than every other BABYMETAL song, but they are all distinctly BABYMETAL, most unique successful band in the world today.

Nice & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 FYI, "Kami Band" in the BABYMETAL's back and your favorite Band-Maid have been good friends for years. This Akatsuki was filmed in 2014 and Su-Metal, the lead singer, was 16-year-old then. BM revived this song this year at Budokan, the same venue in this video, with Su's beautifully matured voice and mesmerizing production. I witnessed it and had near-death experience.

The Kami Band (rightly named, God Band) wear shrouds and white face paint as they are dressed as corpses. SuMetal was only 16 here and her voice - a soprano with a C4 to G#5 range - has just got more powerful in the years since.

Whats amazing is Su was only 16 in this performance whats even more amazing is she is 23 almost 24 now and her vocals and stage presence have just got better with maturity. 🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥

Good 'first' reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Galaxy. The Kami Band (kami meaning god or spirit, so they are the gods of guitar, bass and drums summoned from the dead to support BABYMETAL in all live performances ... it explains the traditional burial robes and corpse face paint) are among the absolute best session musicians in Japan - every one of them a world class musician. They can play anything - which is just as well as BABYMETAL have songs in virtually every metal genre but will also mix in many other musical styles and genres with the metal - usually when you least expect it. The Kami Band is always two lead guitars, bass and drums. They do swap out here and there as they all have their own bands and projects outside of the Kami Band, but in most of the videos you will see the hard core members - Mikio Fujioka (RIP Jan 2018), Takayoshi Ohmura, Leda Cygnus and ISAO on guitars, BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. For the lengthy 2019 and 2020 tours of the US and Europe the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) supported BABYMETAL. From the end of 2017 the robes are black and since the start of the 2019 tour masks have replaced the corpse face paint. BABYMETAL are Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal), Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) and Moa Kikuchi (Moametal). Su-metal is lead vocalist and the whole concept was formed and developed around her with her extraordinary vocal talents and stage presence - even though she was still only 12 when they started in 2010. Yuimetal and Moametal provide backing vocals, harmonies and are in charge of hyping the crowd in live shows with their choreo, leading chants and so on, getting the audience involved so they all become part of the performance. Sadly Yui left the band in October 2018 following a 12 month absence for undisclosed health reasons. Su and Moa chose to continue as a duo and from 2019 through 2021 they were supported by any one of three girls (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) dancing, but not singing, in the third spot. I would guess you previously watched 'Gimme Chocolate' ... it is very different to 'Akatsuki' and, although it has more views than their other videos, it isn't always the best introduction as it can be very polarising and some people can't get past the opening vocals and, wrongly, assume every other song will be the same sort of thing. They have about 50 songs now and every one of them is different, as I mentioned above. I would suggest 'Megitsune' for your next reaction - it reflects who and what they are as well as any other song even though you won't hear another quite like it. The official video is excellent (but likely to be blocked, so will need to be obscured or blurred), but any live performance would be as good or better ... BABYMETAL are a live performance act first and foremost.

Suzuka Nakamoto is a frontwoman till she was 12... and yes, now in her 23 is a living legend , in my opinion ,nowadays is one of the best frontwoman in the world (if not the best). Good reaction.

A little Info I hope helps you....Babymetal has gone through several stages over the last 11 years. They started as the 'Heavy Music Club', a sub-unit of an all girls 'School Themed' Idol group called "Sakura Gakuin" and released their first few tracks under that group. But as their popularity grew, and as the oldest member, Suzuka, "Graduated" from the group, Amuse Inc decided to continue the group as its own thing. The Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 was the Goodbye Idol group Hello Metal World concert and was on the day after Suzuka turned 16yrs old. That concert spawned the "Gimme Chocolate" video that went Viral and currently has over 150 Million views. The performance you just watched was 4 months later in March of 2014 at the legendary Nippon Budokan Arena and there were 2 nights; Red Night Apocalypse and Black Night Apocalypse. Their Fast rising popularity lead to their first World Tour in the summer of 2014 where they would play outside Asia (they had played Singapor at a convention the year before) for the very first time. Their third stop, after small venues in France and Germany, was the Huge Metal Festival of "Sonisphere" on July 5th, 2014 infront of a 50K+ croud outside of London, England and they SLAYED!! It progresses rapidly after that and over the next few years Babymetal became a staple on the World Metal touring circuit and were cited multiple times by all the big Metal Magazines and Critics as the "Best Live Band" and were touring with some of the biggest names in the Industry and Headlining Arenas in their own right! They have over 250 concerts dates under their belts so far! Eventurally their 3rd Album hit #1 in the USA on Billboards "Top Rock Album" chart in October, 2019. (#13 on the "Hot 200" chart). It might still have been Babymetal you saw before, they are very good at painting different atmospheres for each song with their performances. Surprisingly Babymetal is actually about 3 girls. This is the leadsinger. Most of the time the perform together. They also have dance. yes, dance in metal. Who would have thought. Well, one had to leave because of health reasons. So these days it's 2 with a dancer to fill the third spot in the choreography. When Babymetal got started they were extremely young. The band that plays with them is amazing, they are however session musicians. Their is a solid core of the same guys most of the time though. Something really sad happened one of them actually fall of a platform at an observatory and died. RIP Mikio. He was the one that always had such a happy smile. And possibly was the most amazing guitarist of Babymetal and maybe even the whole of Japan.

You are probably not confused: BabyMetal has songs that sounds REALLY different one from another xD They also usually are 3 girls, but they have 4 solo songs for SU, the main singer, and 4 duo songs for the other 2. They did it so during live concerts they can take some breaks, since they move around a lot! The band is called Kami Band, and are session musicians, some of the best in Japan. They wear white makeup and white burial vests because in BabyMetal's lore they were summoned from the dead to play for them! If you want to see them really showcasing their abilities, try watching "Rondo of Nightmare" with Mischief of the Metal Gods intro live at Budokan! Since it looks like you would like to react to some more, I will tell you which videos usually get blocked: Their official MV are usually safe, with the exception of "Megitsune", "Gimme Chocolate", "Karate", "Road of Resistance" live in Japan, "No Rain No Rainbow" live at Legend S and "The One - Stairway to Living Legends" that are NOT safe. This footage is from the concert "Budokan Black Night Apocalypse" performed on March 2nd 2014 at the famous Nihon Budokan which is a famous martial arts arena and a very prestigious concerts venue in Tokyo. "Akatsuki", meaning "Red Moon" is one of the four Su-metal's solo songs. And also my favorite song of all time. At the moment this was filmed she was 16 years old but the way she owns the stage and her vocals made fans started calling her the Queen. So glad you enjoyed the guitars solos (dueling and harmonizing). I'm a power metal fan and I just love this kind of things. On the track listing they have replaced the character for "aka" with "kurenai" (a deep red or crimson), as a tribute to the X-Japan song 'Kurenai'. Her solo 'Amore' might better show off Su's technical abilities, but 'Akatsuki' is a great emotional song, with a powerful delivery. I've said it before, but Su doesn't need to fear any of the pyrotechnics because she is fire herself. That solo (and Rondo of Nightmare from the same 2014 concert) are what sold me on BABYMETAL.

Nice reaction. Babymetal firing it up. Babymetal always has 2 guitarists. 1 Monster bass player and Killer drummers. Babymetal's backing band called the Kamiband have used many members over the years but some of them have done most of the shows. Like Boh the Bass player. We can get into the rest when you're ready to do more songs. Su Babymetal's lead singer is an amazing talented and skilled singer. That was 5 years ago or so. She has gotten even better since then. I hope you do more Babymetal songs because Babymetal live is truly something to behold. From their own epic shows to the festival appearance's Babymetal Brings it each and every time. Su and her right-hand Moa have become legendary Monster Ladies of Metal. As Rob Halford told them Stay Metal. So, when covid hit Babymetal added the tag line Stay Safe Stay Metal to their messages.

The FOXGOD approves of this reaction. BABYMETAL songs are so varied and the way they can change the atmosphere is just phenomenal. If you want to see the band in in its full glory just react to any of the songs that have Kamiband intros, only a handful but one of the most glorious things to see. Shortly before this concert BABYMETAL released their first full CD which collected their previous single releases and a few extras. I have noticed that most songs from the Red Night of the concert usually get blocked but not the ones from Black Night as Red Night has a number of covers of songs from other bands. BABYMETAL's musical style has always been all over the place even with their last CD release as the song styles were all over the place. Great reaction. This is an incredible band., the girls are amazing & the musicians are world-class. Su ( Suzuka Nakamoto /SU-METAL) sings this song with just a piano accompaniment called “Atkasuki (unfinished) . It’s very emotional and quite beautiful.

Nice one! Makes me sad your first reaction to them was apparently blocked. If you still have that video, I'm sure a lot of people would be happy if you obscured the video you're reacting to and re-uploaded it. :) I absolutely understand not noticing there were two lead guitarists at first - it's not a common configuration, they're both dressed the same, (with Leda on the black flying V even wearing a wig; that's Ohmura's natural hair though lol), and Su really does steal the show even with the amazing musicianship on display from the Kami band (that's the name of Babymetal's backing band). For your next Babymetal reaction, I would recommend Headbanger live at Legend 1997. The live videos from these older shows of theirs (Budokan Red Night & Black Night, Legend 1997, etc.) don't tend to get copyright blocked, so you're much safer going with them than with videos from their official channel or more recent live performances, though as it sounds like you know, obscuring the video can get around some copyright blocks. Every band's song is technically different from their other songs. However, every Babymetal song is different in different ways because they continue to draw on other styles musically while augmenting their performances with deliberate choreography. I won't recommend what Babymetal song you react to next, but I will recommend them all.
