4:54 .My dad is in the maroon shirt, in the Asleep at the Wheel hat. He's no longer with us, cancer took him almost 13 years ago. I saw this for the first time today. It's really great to see him happy .. He loved Steve Earle and introduced me to him. I played a Steve Earle song (goodbye is all we have left to say) at his funeral as a memorial. I miss you dad. Seeing this today has really brightened my day. Thank you for posting this.

Sorry for your loss.... Now steve is going thru a painful loss himself. We will appreciate today love music it will bring us ✌ peace. Steve is a good man and i am Partial because he is my cousin. It may not seem important but family is hard to come by. Ive lost soooo many family member that the past few years that even a cousin i havnt gotton to know means alot. Steve has a son Ian and so do i. We have things in common. Family for the most part is precious. His words speak so clearly and i agree with his beliefs. I believe we all can agree.... Yes joan Biaz. Not to mention steve earle is (the way i see it) is a very thoughtful considerate man. I didnt get to know him but thru his music i feel close to him. I hope steve can understand that. When i say he is a good man it comes from my ❤. Happy hollidays to all... Lets enjoy life today this very moment for we do not know what tomarrow will bring us or the next few minutes for that matter. My mother went to get a cheese burger broke her neck in a car axccident at 17. Not to bring up bad news lets be happy with every moment and love each other. 🌲🐿🌲🐿🌲🐿🌲 spread love and laughter....peace.

Funny watching this now, for me, as someone who was more inline with his politics back when this movie was filmed, you see the hypocrisy of where the left has gone to. Ex... He believes as an artist that you should never censor yourself in fear of offending someone. Now if you offend you are cancelled by the left. He states that it is never unpatriotic to question any fucking thing in a democracy. Now the left shuts you up and finds you a criminal if you question..uh 2020 election integrity, COVID and the vax. Ukraine funding etc... his stance on why he is against the death penalty is actually what swayed me from pro choice to pro life. Which was, he is against killing and since the govt represents him he is against govt killing. Well if that's true then there is no way someone could be in any way pro abortion. Those are just a few ex. Love the music. As a singer songwriter myself he influenced me greatly. Been flowing Steve since guitar town. Saw him plenty back in the early 2000s.

It's Christmastime in Washington The Democrats rehearsed Gettin' into gear for four more years Things not gettin' worse Republicans drink whiskey neat And thanked their lucky stars They said, "He cannot seek another term They'll be no more FDRs" I sat home in Tennessee Just staring at the screen With an uneasy feeling in my chest I'm wonderin' what it means So come back Woody Guthrie Come back to us now Tear your eyes from paradise And rise again somehow If you run into Jesus Maybe he can help you out Come back Woody Guthrie to us now I followed in your footsteps once Back in my travelin' days Somewhere I failed to find your trail Now I'm stumblin' through the haze But there's killers on the highway now And a man can't get around So I sold my soul for wheels that roll Now I'm stuck here in this town Come back Woody Guthrie Come back to us now Tear your eyes from paradise And rise again somehow If you run into Jesus Maybe he can help us out Come back Woody Guthrie to us now There's foxes in the hen house Cows out in the corn The unions have been busted Their proud red banners torn To listen to the radio You'd think that all was well But you and me and Cisco know It's going straight to hell So come back, Emma Goldman Rise up, old Joe Hill The barracades are goin' up They cannot break our will Come back to us, Malcolm X And Martin Luther King We're marching into Selma As the bells of freedom ring So come back Woody Guthrie Come back to us now Tear your eyes from paradise And rise again somehow Songwriters: Steve Earle

@@pktdbgnzwl sheesh you sure get easily offended by my opinion. Well when you run down the very system you made your wealth from, that’s hypocrisy, sorry but true. Earl isn’t the only singer song writer to come out of the late 60s early 70s who do that very thing. Neil Young, Graham Nash, David Crosby, Joan Baez, Joanie Mitchell, just to name a few. I love their music but when they start giving a finger to capitalism and talking socialist shit it’s a bit hypocritical as they all used the capitalist system to make their wealth, buddy they sure didn’t turn down any chance to rake in those green backs! It’s my opinion just like you expressed your opinion, and always remember, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one:)
