thats why i took mine off my kit finally lol, i prefer having the 16 close on the right (would add an 18 after if i had one) so i moved the 14 to the left, and, yeah, i dont play anything that would actually require me to use it, so, phone, drum key, headphones, sticks, etc lmfao

That's the thing when you move around things on your kit is you'll be there all day. You want to make sure thay your kit is comfortable to play on. Great video.

Thank you for actually playing the toms--ALL OF THEM--A LOT--after completing the setup. I've watched too many videos of people demoing a kit and doing nothing but snare hits. Drives me nuts! This was great fun to watch. Like Christmas morning! Oh, and the mix of snare to tom was well-balanced. That's another pet peeve: the snare sounds like an M-80 firecracker 2 inches from my ear, and the toms sound like they are being played with Nerf sticks. Thanks for avoiding that. This setup sounded great!

Your videos came up in my timeline, and for some strange reasons, I love them. Why strange? Cause I'm a guitar player, but when you're into the groove, I got goosebumps. You really rock.

These setup changes are challenging. You change one part and you have to adjust another. I recently changed from 2 to 3 rack tom and I would like to use a sample pad for high toms and octobans or whatever. I just grabbed a 15" china pad and two 9" splash pads. Thanks for your work, dude! These drum-tec parts are awesome. You got them from a 50min drive away from my home.

The octabons were originally 8 drums, not 4. The length of the octabons is what changed the pitch

kind of similar to my kit now, but i use 2 roto toms above the hi hat, with 2 octobans to the right of them (and behind the 8" rack tom)

That has been the dream setup since I first had drum tec's store pointed out to me. Live in an apartment so electric kits are kinda mandatory.

I always loved and HATED trying to reconfigure new kit layouts. SAMUS you might do yourself a favor and try the MIKE MANGINI "quince"/"quints?"(ambidextrous) confuguration. With 2 remote hihats and 2 rides it is badass.. doubles around the toms (btw i was writing this before you busted out the mangini sounds so that was cool ,thanks) i think it is a more efficient setup honestly. Id love to see a video of you setting that up and then trying it out.. im super jelly about octobans . Wonder how they sound when the pitch is lowered significantly. Great video.. thanks for your awesome playing..

You can point the arms down on the Tom holders that is what I do. I just got the Mimic and holy shit. I use real cymbals also just amazing and a dream come true.

Bad ass Samus!!! The octobans are so cool. You can do everything from Ska/Reggae to Dream Theater to straight ɓlast accents. And the trigger tones harness that perfect sound. That's a beast of a kit. Yurr! Yurr!
