from experience I feel the same when I got depression at 12 I was a optimistic guy before that and when it happened it reversed it completely and I behave more mature than my age and more quiet and I also sometime think “am I really just a kid anymore?” ‘cause I don’t do normal things people in my class do like playing tag , speak or smile

At around 13.. I became depressed.. went through a rough time.. Childhood... Childhood and it's innocence were all that I wanted, but I didn't know it then... I've just sort of reversed my personality back to a more immature and silly one.. and it's made me feel more like... Myself.. I feel like I can finally accept myself in a carefree and blissful state.. If anyone out there misses their childhood so much that it's hurting them.. I'd recommend trying to go back to it.. even if it means changing your personality for that.. you'll appreciate the feeling of being carefree.. and might feel more like yourself! Things are obviously not perfect.. but at least I can accept myself up to a degree..

This reminds me of my great grandma who had dementia. She sadly passed do to covid. I didn't even know her that well but she was always nice to me and I miss her. All of my family who knew her said she was very kind and was an amazing person. She was really in bad shape, hopefully she's at peace now. Also to whoever's reading this, take care of yourself, friend. You're amazing and just know that while the past was nice just be glad that you have those memories and try to move on. :)

I remember the old days of my life, when everything was oh, so innocent. I thought evil was something manifested in media and that everyone in the world was a good person. Boy, was I wrong. I remember the old, fun days of school, then it became it's own Hell on Earth rather than an early taste of Heaven. I remember late night road trips in California, just quiet peacefulness and dark yet beautiful skies. I remember the joy of opening gifts during Christmas, now all I can afford is a measly candle for myself in my rundown apartment. The mood of staying up all night in complete darkness looking at video game reviews you like for the 100th time.

One thing that really scares me is just the thought that maybeone day when im old everyone i knew could not be alive anymore and someday everyone i knew will be forgotten forever

this song doesn't make me feel sad, just bitter sweetness. The context of the song leaves you with a grim reminder that your days on this earth are numbered. But I find a silver lining with that, as I'm sure others do. I found that that sense of emptiness or bitter sweetness leaves me calm, it is comforting in a sense to be aware that we all die at some point, and barring that we should all live life, ignoring all thought as we float through it. Because truly, we don't have enough time to think while alive, only enough time to live. Have a good night, evening, day, or wherever you find yourself on this big wide world of ours.

as a person with chrons disease who has months in their life where you cant eat anything, everything you eat just turns to pain and you slowly starve yourself. wondering and hoping for the day you can eat once more. your only relief is that you easily forget the pain but it also makes you forget that eating in the first place is what causes you the pain so you simply relive it. holding back the urge to eat is the worst. it just becomes a burning memory so you stuff yourself with oil after, forgetting that one day its gonna light that stomach of yours on fire again

This song played in my head, over and over when i found out *2 days after* that my best friend had passed away. He lived in canada, so i had no idea. He wasn’t answering my texts, and the last time i talked to him, he was sick, so i just assumed he was getting rest. But my other friend had to go to that part of canada for a dance meet up, and she told me and my other friends. It was horrifying. I was at a family party at the time, so i couldnt do anything. It was terrifying, we thought she was pranking us. I felt completely numb, i couldnt move. I sat on the couch, staring at my phone for a good 10 minutes before someone checked on me. That was the worst week of my entire life. rest well drew.

This song is from an album called “Everywhere at the end of time”, it is meant to represent types of dementia, mainly Alzheimer’s disease, to abbreviate what Alzheimer’s is, it is a disease that make you lose memory, yet the album is 6 hours long, 1 hour for each stage of the disease, this song is not called Heartaches, it’s called “A burning memory”, It’s from the first stage. If you want, I’d recommend listening to the album.

this fits one of my ocs in many rp's. they've been randomly teleporting from dimension to dimension, not knowing when or where the next one will be. She has many scars on her from the times she was in dangerous places. oh, and a mechanical arm that functions exactly the same as her normal one. yeah, kinda weird.

My grandfather died because of lung cancer 8 years ago. I know that that seems like a lot but the wound still feels fresh. He loved me way more than he loved anyone. He would come to visit me daily. He was the best. Whenever I hear this song I think of him, and the memories.....

My great grandfather died of cancer to man it hurts today because if he lives to this day I would been so happy the I can learn his history but because that was 6 years ago I was a dumb kid

2019 was the best year of my life my friends and i was always playing games together and we had the best moments and after one of my friend passed away i was very depressed he use to make me laugh.And after 2019 my other friends ingored me now i have to play with no one. and in 2021 it was the time when my grandpa passed away from cancer.I wish that i can see him for one last time.He was a kind and friendly and very wise man.And everyday i put this music on my phone and makes me think of my friends and i together and my grandpa.But atleast i have new firends but its just not the same :(.......

That kid I met camping, who I made so many memories with, slowly fading from my memory

I have two things to say: 1: this song (or the album itself) makes me feel that anxiety and that feeling that something is missing but you don't know exactly what it is. 2: my grandaunt is having to live with a caretaker because she has Alzheimer and her mind is slowly deteriorating. She's getting to a point that she can't walk or eat by herself. The worst part is that, even tho I was never so close to her, she still remembers me. My friend's grandma had Alzheimer too (she died last week), but even if I don't believe in God THAT much, I guess I can thank him for taking her with Him before she started suffering more. She had cancer, which was something that was already something impossible to help her with. At least she died peacefully. At least she didn't suffer as much as we thought she would...

Something similar happened to me but in other way , me and a friend online were playing minecraft, building a base on top of a jungle tree, but, something happened and i just told him "Hey bro I'm sorry I have to go let's play tomorrow " He said " Ok no problem see you later "I disconnected of the call and after that I don't know what happened but I just stopped writing to him and stopped making calls to play some time later I looked at his chat he wrote things like "Hi do you want to play something" or just "Hello" but the last message he sent me was "Hi, are you ok?, what happend?" I did see that message a few week later but i didn't know what to say to him, then the exams started and I had to study and I forgot about him 4 years have passed PD: i speak spanish im sorry if i wrote something wrong
