You'd think after refurbishment, they could AT LEAST fix the falling car, in the 50 times I've been there, it's worked maybe 5 times.....

Sigh. They call THIS a refurbishment? The animatronics STILL don't have the realistic fluidity that they had during this ride's heyday back in 1997 (check out InsideUniversal's video of the ride during that year), and the damaged Tour vehicle didn't even fall. This is not a refurbishment. Once again, Universal is not taking us seriously when we say that this ride (as well as its counterpart in Orlando) need a REAL refurbishment, not this FAKE excuse!

bryan calles the water depends on the time of year. In the summer you still get absolutely soaked.. but other times of the year its just some sprinkles.

The dinos are more articulated and some of the effects were edited some people say it's bad buy I like it :^)

I'd hoped with the refurbishment they'd have the car drop again...the animatronics don't seem any more impressive either. :-/

The jeep still doesn't work. lol This ride is pitiful compared to when it first opened.

It's a shame that this is the full refurbishment - I feel that this ride really had the potential to have new life breathed into it by the release of Jurassic World. Perhaps change the animations to something different - I know I'd love to see the area with the long-necked dinos (The name escapes me, sorry!) turned into a small area with a fenced of section showcasing the Mosasaurus. They could maybe even change the T-Rex to the Indominus Rex, and have the T-Rex appear earlier in the ride, or at the top of where the Explorer should drop. Branding could be changed too. JP has so much potential to make an awesome ride, as is proven by this ride, but they could make it even better if they really tried I feel.

It looks nice, except it's way too bright in the drop building. I could see the tarp covering the electronics on the T-rex. I definitely suggest either riding it at night or having the room darkened.

What are the differences to the Refurbished 2015 Jurassic Park ride and why don't they do the jeep effect part of the ride anymore ?

I use to go to Universal Studios all the time and I went on this ride once, because I was to scared and I regret that now because it’s gone. I miss this ride and I will always remember the unforgettable river adventure.

LOL only Universal would call THIS refurbished. Some of the damn show effects aren't even working (the falling car) hell they didn't even position it in a way that at least made it look like it was dangling from the edge... it's just floating there...

+TheBitBlock I totally agree with you. That thing is just floating. There´s a small/young apatosaurus with a stiff neck, looks awful.. It´s OK if things don´t look real, but they are not even trying.

Wow, that is underwhelming. So let's see, new fog, new really bad paint jobs, may be some new flowers and a bit of water shooting. No falling car, still jerky animatronics, can see the T-Rexs mechanics at the end, that nasty dinosaur on the right when you first enter with the weird two sized neck. Way to go! Disney keeps throwing money at their old rides and that's what Universal did! What a shame!

I just want Universal to take their time fixing the tour vehicle. That and covering the trex so you don't see it during the drop until it comes out.

Jurassic World made a killing at the Box Office they should lend a hand to get this ride way more upgrades it looks bad, and the T'rex is floating in the air...

Thank you for posting this for a 6 minute ride I just save some money and time standing in line would have been at least 40 minutes!

My favorite part of the whole tour as a kid was seeing the tour vehicle fall, and they removed that..? Lame.

When I rode on this,the 2nd T Rex actually was roaring for a full 30 seconds...I guess they had to have us wait for a moment because I actually got to do something most guests wouldn't get the chance to do and that is...I touched it and 10 whole seconds later...swoosh we went.

We should all start a movement for universal to legitimately fix this ride and add more dinosaurs! Like we should get universal to notice that we want this ride back to how it was

I recall the end drop at the Hollywood Universal was a very high outdoor waterslide but on the video the end is a relatively short indoor slide. When was it changed?

The ride is too short!!!! 5min ride for 1hour of queing is a joke! The ride needs to be extended in duration anamatronics need serious updating they look awful if this is representing Jurassic Park the movie it needs serious work ive been on the ride a few times and it just felt all too quick the beginning could do with a extention and buld up to the end drop

Not necessarily. Sure, if you were at the front of the line but think about what happens if the line reaches past the extended queue. That line would easily exceed 90 minutes. It's not an efficient solution. Yes, in a perfect world, we'd all like a longer ride but nobody really has the stamina to sit on a water ride for 20 minutes.

Universal Studios has completely ruined this ride. Animatronics look worse than ever, falling truck was ripped completely out when I last went, and there was zero trace of the T-Rex at the very end, which leads me to believe that it either failed to go on my ride, or it had been taken out completely for repairs. Neither of those look good for USH. This was my favorite ride for years, but my last ride was a tremendous disappointment. Shame they'd rather dump $100 mil into polishing up their movie screens than much less than that to bring JP into the 21st century. They have to finish up Wizarding World of Harry Potter already. God knows they need it in the worst way right now.

What happened? The tour car didn't come down?

I really love this ride! It's one of my favorites but the only thing about the ride? Is the drop! I can't take the drop! It's like your stomach is falling out when going down, but hey! It's just part of the ride! 😊 🎢🎢🎢

Damn, that 80 ft drop is fun. I flew too. Straight outta the seat. Even checked the bar too make sure it were tight. Load of fun.

I am very biased towards Universal Orlando, I think it is miles better than Universal Hollywood. HOWEVER.....this ride blows the JP ride in orlando out of the water.

I like Jurassic Park The Ride, but I can see the technical issues in the video. I hope they can make this ride a lot better next time. It looked a bit awkward, and that car didn't fall!😮

this was the refurbished ride? this was such a let down, i worked at the park 15 years ago when this ride was still new and there was so much more going on back then. major parts of the ride should have been fixed. where was the dino in the boat wit the ripped mickey hat ? why did they not fix the jeep ? it used to fall down and get you soaked.. big huge let down .

So have a dinosaur chase the boat in one part of the ride. You could hide its feet where there would most likely be exposed structure connecting to other mechanical devices in fog or brush. Give the dinosaur more of a living tissue and muscle movement. Enhance that experience with vibrations in sync with the dinosaur's feet.

Aww, those opening dinosaurs on the ride, one with the leaves still taped to it's mouth and the other with the crooked neck. At least do something with those two. They need help.

They should switch the T Rex with the Idominus Rex and add the Mosasaurus to a part of the ride.

First comment but I'm Sorry only changes I;ve seen are the Paint jobs on the Stegos and Dilpos other than that The Truck still doesn;t fall on time and the T-Rex is still the same woulda been better if they took a picture of the CGI Indominus Rex Head and incorporated it into the Ride after that small drop that woulda made it interesting but other than that and the Parasaurus sign thats it nothing special to be honest!

Where are the sparks and the car drop... why did they take it out??? those were like the best parts. This isnt a refurbished ride, more of like a downgrading ride. They are taking out the best parts of the ride and fixing the most minor things. What do they even do with their money
