I waited in line for probably 2+ hours in 1997 with my family in the height of the summer heat. All the effect worked perfectly including the car drop (never saw it work again). Scared me half to death as a 5th grader. Afterwards I begged my mom to buy me the "I survived Jurassic park THE RIDE" t-shirt. I wore it to school the next Monday and all my friends were jealous "Nuh uh you didnt ride it" Shirt begs to differ my guy ;)

It’s kind of a nice touch that at the beginning, you can see the boat of the people who boarded in front of you, but then later it has the wrecked one and you don’t see the people who were ahead of you until the ride is over.

@@lazarzivkovic3393 This one actually had atmosphere plus made the T Rex more scarier because you could barely see it until you got close, the Jurassic world crap killed all of the atmosphere by revealing everything and removing all of the buildup, thats why this one is better you're pretty dumb if you cant see that and resort to the usual "oh its just nostalgia talking" 🙄

Back in 2009 my little sis and I rode this like 10 times in a row cause it was almost closing time and hardly anybody was there. Kinda scary riding it at night and with just us two and maybe a few others. But awesome!! I miss this ride but looking forward to the new one!

From experience, I can assure you that this ride is terrifying, and the drop is steeper than it looks..

That drop is way scarier when you're on it, but it's so worth it. 😂

i went on this ride with my dad and sister, and it was SO much fun! i remember the tiny drop before the end, and being like ''oh, that wasn't so bad!'' and then almost flying out when the real drop happened. my other favorite ride was the Simpsons one.

Came back to watch this video to remember my childhood. The new redesign is shit compared to this one. I'll never forget this ride, it was my first ride as a kid. I was 7 years old and my aunt made me sit on it at night, and I was absolutely terrified but excited because I had all the Jurassic Parks on VHS. The drop felt like a free fall when I was a kid, but then when I grew up, my friends used to act like we were asleep for the photo. It was one of the most iconic rides for me, and I'll never get to ride it the same way again. R.I.P. Jurassic Park

Kidation is cute yeah me too I went for my bday in may and I wasn't gonna go on the ride and had a full on panic attack, my sister talked me into it and when we got on it was nice but then when we got closer to the end it broke down and I had another panic attack. So like.. ;-(

They sort of did. It’s a hard detail to see, but sometime after the waterfall you can spot his shaving cream DNA container on the ground from when he dropped it in the original film. Like I said, it’s hard to see, but it’s a nice nod to that scene and that guy.

This Jurassic Park ride is way more cooler than the new one, because this brings back wonderful memories going to universal when I was 3 years old, but I'm really really sad that everything has changed there.

They have modified the ride. Because the ride had oh shit type things happening. Like the car fell, things would randomly jump out the water and spray stuff to the point where you would watch your back lol

I was just thinking that. I rode this ride in 2000, and I remember thinking, "Hey, wasn't that car supposed to drop down like it's going to fall on you?"

wow this ride was amazing i miss it so much the best part is that it totally trips you out when it takes you all the way up like that and then only slightly drops hahahaha

When I was a kid, I went on this ride and every time we got to the end with the T-Rex and the big drop, it always kind of freaked me out. However, after riding it several times, I once noticed a small toy pumpkin sitting on a ledge near the T-Rex head. I stopped and just thought “how the hell did they get that there and who p-“ and then I dropped 😂

I rode this, and it was my other favorite ride! My other one was the Harry Potter one

I went in August 2015 when I was seven with my sister mum and dad, at 5:16 the dino that shoots water absolutely nailed my dad in the eye that the one thing I remember from this ride.

My parent's friend worked for a radio station in LA who did a big remote air from this rides launch. I got to go and ride the ride the first day (I believe) and remember the original car drop! Went in recent years and the new update got rid of what made the ride fun!

I've gone on the one in Orlando, and it is probably one of my favorite rides
