JUNKED! 1994 Subaru Legacy AWD with 419,407 miles - Let's see how it held up over that distance!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Subaru's big leap into a more luxurious and larger vehicle with the Legacy helped to fuel its meteoric rise over the last few decades from a minor player to a very popular one in the automotive market. This last year of the first generation model has racked up an impressive 419,407 miles before starting its final journey towards The Crusher, so please join us as we talk about the model in general, walk around the outside, look under the hood, in the cargo area and of course inside the cabin while we see how it held up over that huge mileage (quite well as it turns out!).
Please Subscribe and Like (and Turn On Notifications!) so that you don't miss any future episodes of cars, vans, trucks, and whatever else we come across in the junkyard and decider to share. Thanks for watching!

I bought a 1994 Gen2 Legacy two years ago for $800 registered as a backup car/daily. Love it so much I have gradually done quite a bit of maintenance on it. With a bit over 300,000km on it its still drives great

I use to have a 93 legacy wagon 5 speed. Ashame the body rotted away. It ran and drove great. About 320 on its original motor. Got rid of it because I needed something more fuel efficient for school and work. It was slow but really fun. 20mpg was what I averaged. My v6 2wd dakota made better fuel mileage lol

Subarus from the 90s are like the Mercedes-Benz from the 80s. Close to unkillable machines 😄

I had a 90 something 5 speed legacy wagon. Mine was just the FWD but she was an amazing car. I only got rid of it because the clutch was shot and wasn't worth fixing but it ran so strong still. I think I had right around 300k miles on it when I parked it

Doesnt look too bad for a 30 year old car. Subarus today don't use frameless windows anymore. I own a 2016 forester. 96k miles now, only issues I had is replacing the AC compressor cause I live in a tropical country and we use AC all the time, I also have replaced the rear wheel bearings Other than that, regular oil changes (fully synthetic) filters, and brakes and tires and fluids

What a shame this was junked, if it was still running that would have been a 3k car in Ontario

I bet it was junked because it was so badly smoked in, over the rust spots. I have a nice Suzuki that I got for next to nothing due to the stench and brown goop on the interior. Owners smoked and chewed and had spittle and ashes everywhere.
