Jimmy The Junkyard Dawg!

Jimmy The Junkyard Dawg!

We highlight and feature all types of cars, trucks, vans, and other vehicles from all countries and parts of the world with full walkarounds featuring running commentary along with taking looks at the interior, engine bay, and cargo areas. All vehicles are found in the junkyard, i.e. theoretically at the end of their lives but often there is no obvious reason why they would be there. There's something for everyone or everything for someone...or something like that!...Subscribe, Like, turn on Notifications and we'll keep doing them! Thanks for Watching!

  • @jimmythejunkyarddawg

No, this one isn't there anymore (it was in Windsor, Colorado). There is a very similar 1992 Festiva also in white in the Tucson AZ Pull n Save with a picture on their inventory page. I saw it about a month ago and it seemed pretty complete back then. Good luck!

1/2-ton. Pretty common for pre-85 Toy-based RV's to have 1/2-ton axles fitted with "foolies". Sometimes they were two wheels bolted together with ridiculous lug studs, sometimes rims were welded together over a can, sometimes they had a flange welded to the wheel like what appears to be on this one. Full-Floaters were 6-lug and the axle housing was more robust, gusseted on the bottom. The 1/2-ton rigs maintained the 4300lbs(ish) GVWR. 1-tons more like 6k. These trucks are easy to love though! Thanks for sharing.

I've had 4 of the early quattros they are indestructible with exception of door handles, speedometer gear issues, and the sunroofs can be difficult if not impossible to fix or find parts for them, among other parts for these cars. That said there is enough of a cult following in the Audi VW community there are aftermarket parts made. There is ton of usable parts there on the car for sure still......

I owned one of these cars, almost from new, same color, in Australia. Beautiful to drive and 4 wheel steer ! I ended up installing a cd stacker in the hidden compartment in the back. The materials inside these were top notch and stood up to the harsh Australian sun.

My 1st Car was a Brand New 88 MEGA MAX. Had the KAMINARI Ground Effect kit from Nissan. I Lowered it On Suspension Technics Springs & Swaybars, Chrome MOMO Stars Wheels w/ Perelli P700 tires, MOMO Monte Carlo Steering Wheel, MOMO Shift Knob, Full Alpine am/fm w/cassette, Apline CD player, Alpine 12band EQ. 1500 watts of Alphasonic Amps. Delta Sonic Tweeters, Rockford FOSGATE 5 1/4 mids. And 2 15” FOSGATE 8ohm PUNCH Woofers on 400w. I had a Custom Black Canvas Phantom Top with Roof Ribs that gave it a Convertible look. That Car was DOPE !!!!! Miss it to this day. Great late 80’s WHITTIER BLVD Cruise Nites .. BUMPIN n THUMPING East LA, Montebello, Pico Rivera, Whittier, Hollywood etc.. THOSE WERE THE DAYS. Was gona be in LOWRIDER Magazine but it got damaged before and they used my buddies Escort and a guy named Johnny with his Candy painted Red Maxima.. oh well .. LOVED THAT CAR. 🤙🤙🤙

73 ? looks newer with those large round tail lights. may supposed to have fuel injected engine Mcphearson strut front suspention was never that popular to beetle enthusiasts. good parts car to me. if restored may bring 6k. bear that in mind. hopefully has clear tittle or is only good for parts.
