Junk Drawer Hammer

Decided to fix up a small hammer. New lessons were learned, and I'm mostly pleased with the result. Hope you enjoy the video.

    That turned out as a sweet hammer. It would be great for building miniature items, like Doll Houses, small boxes, Model Train buildings/structures....MAYBE even the spaceship toolbox?

    Turned out great. Those small hammers are perfect for some jobs. Keep it handy and you will use it more often then your bigger hammers.

    That seemed like a fun project Ben, so glad that you were pleased with the result, as you should be, that gel stain made all the difference ! I'm all too familiar with that oops, something smells of burning moment, some wood just demands more care and respect ! Cheers, AndyC.

    Nicely done. Those small 8 or 10 ounce hammers sometimes come in handy with brads and tiny nails. Good to have one in the shop.

    I haven't bought any of the Bombay Mahogany yet. I bought this gel stain and have been quite pleased with its ease of application. The PolyShades appears to be more difficult to apply. I will eventually give it a shot. Thanks Stan!

    I though you lost it at one point with the epoxy messing up the open end of the handle. But I was happy to see the finished product turned out great!

    Hey Ben, I’ve seen you use your belt sander on a few projects now. In a future video can you show how you get it mounted upside down to use? It is a great idea and would like to do something similar with mine. Thanks

    Unfortunately, the sander I purchase is no longer available on Amazon. It was called "TACKLIFE Belt Sander 3×18-Inch" and it was designed to use either way. The top is flat and it came with two clamps so you can affix it to a bench as I did. I specifically bought that one because of that feature. I don't know what to tell you other than good luck. I hope you can find something similar. THanks!
