I've known and played with Junior since 1978 - he would describe himself as a lover of all things Americana - music, cars, you name it. Thats why country, blues, rock, swing, and surf music are all part of his world.

I don't care what kind of music you like, this guy is the real deal and if you don't like him you might as well just quit listening to music .

This dude is unlike any other guitarists. You can't compare him to anyone else. He's top class.

Maybe the most unknown and best guitarists that ever lived. Don't know why he never really hit the mainstream...AWESOME TALENT!!

I don't understand how this guy can be so very talented yet have no airplay!

Junior Brown is one of the most amazing talents to come out of American music in ages.

Just got back from seeing Jr. at the Ark in Ann Arbor. He did 2 hours non-stop. Best show I've seen in some time. Better live than his recorded stuff. Was called back for 2 encores. Great show. If he comes anywhere near you definetly make the effort to see the show, you won't be disappointed.

Maybe the best guitarist ever? My guess is YES!! The only reason that he isn't more mainstream is because he does his own thing. OUTSTANDING PERFORMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya'll don't get it, he is not just a country star playing rock and roll, he is an entertainer doing what he does best. Playing great music, not something you can shove into a tidy neat little category.

Steven you got that right. Most great musicians play lots of different styles, always growing, learning, striving for improvement.. not like these lazy closed minded idiot soulless kids today that have a "genre" or a "brand".

Junior Brown you are beyond an exceptional guitarist. I love your music country or otherwise.

I'm a long time rock n' roller, but Junior Brown is one of the best guitar players ever, bar none. Love this guy's sound.

covers of Led Zeppelin, Cream and Hendrix are just off-the-charts insanely brilliant ! I believe that first song is Canned Heat's "On the Road Again " ? Man I HAVE to see Mr. Junior Brown somehow, somewhere in 2021 !!

I saw him play at Austin City Limits TV show in about 1997 and he was amazing. It seems crazy that more people don't know how good he really is. Amazing talent on guitar and sings too !

This 'cowboy hat' dude can melt amps, shred like an animal!! He can always take you by surprise, even if you know him--he can quick-draw a riff and shock you at any moment! He is also a writer/composer on par with the best ever.

I saw Junior live in '97 with Buddy Miles playing drums for him. All Buddy had was a snare and hi-hat, and he was still rockin' it, but Junior just blew the roof off. Amazing show.

I guess the only thing I can say about the suit is, he is a throw back to Hank Sr. and Earnest Tubb, who both wore suits on stage back in their day. I think it adds class to his show. This video is a good representation of his (top Half)guitar playing, but it really pales in comparison to see him live. If you ever get a chance, I highly reccomend it!

It’s typical that a lounge act ,guy in a polyester suit and a cowboy Hat was one of the Greatest surf guitar heroes of all time junior Brown is a great guitar player and was Highly underrated. I’ve been a fan for decades.

Junior Brown has credited his playing style to a combination of Ernest Tubb (The Texas Troubadour), and Jimi Hendrix. He's definitely channeling both of them. He's an amazing player who definitely gets it right when he's grooving on his "Guit-Steel".

We saw him live for the first time last week and were all blown away. Agree that this guy is a monumental talent and should be MUCH more famous than what he is. Whoever is managing him should be shot. If you get a chance to see him live, don't miss out. My one wish would be a CD mixture of rock, Ventures, surf music, etc.

Awesome guitarist and performer, you can only imagine the hours he put in to be able play the way he does.

One more thing that I bet you guys didn't know,, is that this guy was playing like this in the 50's while most of us were still pooping yellow in our diapers ! Excellent musician.

In 1985 Junior invented a double-necked guitar, with some assistance from Michael Stevens. Junior called the instrument his "guit-steel". When performing, Junior plays the guitar by standing behind it, while it rests on a small podium/music stand. The top neck on the guit-steel is a traditional 6-string guitar, while the lower neck is a full-size lapsteel guitar for slide playing.

Junior was awesome last night in Colo, one of the top shows ive ever seen. I had no idea he is such a sophisticated player, he could play jazz with anyone also! A monster!

Dang! I just keep watchin this and am really blown away, I had no idea of the range musicaly this guy can play, totally rocks!!

I think Junior Brown and his talented wife are everything they ever wanted to be, if you don't understand, its your problem, More here than you might understand.

Brown is an eccentric virtuoso and wildly original and entertaining.

His guitar playing just boggles my mind. One of greatest for sure and deserves a place in the hall of fame

first caught him on pbs back in the early 90's-AWESOME!!! Got an opportunity to get his cd-SPECTACULAR!!!

Junior Brown is a true guitar legend ... besides the great country vocals & humour, his technique & tone combined with his skills tick a lot of boxes in the music world.

Saw him in a small club in Vegas. It was jam packed & it was so damned GOOD that you just had to stand up & MOVE!!!

All hail Junior Brown! All genres are his...to educate us. What an inspiration...probably will never get close but thank you Junior for at least showing me the way.
