That thing about Jung Kook moving on from the past shows how much he's grown just in that statement. Even Yoongi said in one of the Suchwita episodes that Jung Kook had trouble letting go whenever he felt he didn't perform up to his high standards (in the past), but he saw growth in him too now. If he is able now to evaluate, learn from it and move on, that is great growth for him right there. He's still a perfectionist, but it is good that he is able to move on now if something isn't "perfect" or doesn't go exactly as planned. This was the Best interview of any BTS member or BTS as a group. The interviewer showed respect and asked well thought out questions...and not stuff like "Have you hooked up with any ARMY?" (twice asked on the Ellen show). Ugh. Anyway, thank you for giving your thoughts on the interview and Jung Kook's responses.

Why mentioning that question from Ellen?? It was a simple funny question, she was a comedian. Not only for them. Also its not unheard of. They are free to answer however they want to... But it was for fun, not to be taken serious or offend, just fun... And they reacted funny😉

  • @evantesseract737

@@alifc1082it was incredibly offensive, culturally taboo, and not particularly funny. She was deliberately making the guest uncomfortable. If you found it funny, it's because you think it's funny when people are publicly humiliated. That's a specific kind of humor that appeals to people who are cruel and makes the rest of us cringe in sympathy. It was gross and inappropriate, she knew that, and that's *why* she did it. It was the opposite of a good interview, and the contrast between that and this is really huge. Zane did his research, knows who he's talking to, is doing work to make Jungkook comfortable, and isn't trying to get him to react for laughs. It makes sense to contrast the two approaches. I really appreciate people who treat others with respect, and this is a very respectful interview by a skilled interview. It's a beautiful thing to see.

Thank you for this. I too, found Ellen particularly offensive. As you said, she didn't bother to do any homework...if she did, she would have realized Korean culture is a lot different from American culture. I also thought having that person jump out of the box halfway through the interview to scare them half to death was cruel. (poor Hobie) BTS appeared on her show to talk about music and to laugh a bit,, not be humiliated.. They handled it very well, considering their English was pretty basic, at best. You can tell how much it bothered them because the next time they were on air, RM asked her, "Are you going to ask us the hook-up question again?" She was actually embarrassed. Let's gooo!!!! Savage RM! 😅 Obviously they didn't know what it meant when she firsr asked it. I found her very rude (and to other quests too, by the way) and can't watch that episode anymore.

JK’s wisdom is something I’ve noticed, so I was glad to hear you mention it. He says that his decisions and choices are based on an inner intuitive source; sometimes he calls it ‘his gut’ (not sure what the Korean term would be). He used to say he’d like to have Namjoon’s brain for a week, but I like his own brain, and what seems like his healthy ‘body-mind-spirit’ coordination. Sweet, kind, smart, funny, talented…🤷‍♀️😊 (Ah well, just call me ‘biased’…😅)

I think that Jungkook really started building his confidence to do solo work when he went to Qatar alone to sing the FIFA World Cup theme song. I think that whole experience cast him into the limelight and gave him even more confidence to continue on. He is on a trajectory to be a huge global star now, and at this young age he will continue on as a solo for a very long time. And BTS together will continue on for a very long time too! I loved this interview, I feel JK is getting the recognition he deserves as a soloist. But he is and always will be so invested in BTS and the members, that will always be his nr 1. In earlier years, being the youngest and introverted of the group, in interviews JK was usually a bit in the background. But I’ve always felt that, if they get him alone, in interviews, or in his livestreams, he has so many sensible things to say, being very down to earth and real. And also being very witty, which I love about him. He is an observer allright and that made him very smart and intelligent. Even if he himself is always humble. Being an older Army, with his performances, JK attracts me with his talent, dancing, singing and daring personality on stage. While being off stage, I just feel so endeared and proud of him like a son. This duality is very appealing. The way you describe things is almost always the same way how I feel about the BTS members. Jungkook holds a special place in my heart. I wish him happiness and I really hope we will have him around as a performer for many years to come.

He’s a grown man now, and I love how he never dwell in the past and does not want to get stuck in that instance. He is indeed an inspiration and a great person to look up to. His humility and without pretending he is better than anyone, or he knows everything shows that he is not hard to be liked or loved. Thanks for this reaction; been waiting for you to take this analysis on JK. ❤❤

Thanks Max. When I met BTS I had a very wrong idea about JK. I often read comments about him that classified him as a baby, dependent on his hyungs and that ended up defining him as someone with little identity, because he seemed more like an appendage of the members. But I was observing him, learning about him because I found his talent fascinating. All my first assessment about it and the one that many have was wrong. He is a happy and playful young man, but he has a maturity and depth unique for his age. He is not a baby and I think he fully knew that the FD thought that about him, that's why he wanted to portray that image with the songs he chose. He knows himself well and that has made him keep his feet on the ground and remain humble, despite the success he has. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that he is one of the kindest and most respectful artists I have ever seen and I am very happy that he is doing so well... he really deserves it.

Unfortunately, every day I read comments infantilizing him and even worse, postponing him as an artist. He will soon leave for SM, the remaining 4 will do so, hopefully upon his return the fd will have matured with the artist, because today it seems that BTS matured, but the fans were stuck in old narratives.

Suga always says JK is a genius, While everyone starts as a beginner JK starts as an intermediate. BTS said they would grow old together no matter what he does he would be their annoying baby. Their level of relationship would change as they mature but they will always have a soft spot for their maknae. For someone who said he was not good in academics and did not like school that much he still finished college despite his career and fame, he learns differently but efficiently.

I’ve just subscribed to your channel. When JK donated one billion won to the children’s hospital so many ARMY commented that JK was “raised right by his hyungs”. Every time he is generous, giving and selfless that’s the comment I see most. As soon as he is heavily criticised for something then you may get memes on how his hyungs will react (them coming to rescue him, slapping him etc). Memes, of course are meant to be funny. But these are extremely frustrating to see time and time again (especially when another member is found in the same circumstances, the response is entirely different (defensive)). It’s so good to see a communications expert see JK’s outstanding qualities as an individual and not just as part of BTS (also important but not the be all and end all). I love how you pointed out his insatiable desire to learn and grow as a winning mindset (because it is). I’ll join your patreon once things calm down for me. I’m keen to see your reaction to his album.

@@SpringPetrichor-et8sq You seemed to have missed the part where I mentioned that JK being part of BTS is important but not the be all and end all. Yes, his hyungs raised him well. But the other members have learned a lot from JK too as well as each other. In the same Suchwita episode where he mentioned that the others pop up in his conversations Suga said he was influenced by the members equally. But when any of the hyungs does something generous do you say JK influenced him? Suga even mentioned JK had a big heart and it took a while before the members realised it. When JK got dragged for smoking did ARMY say the hyungs influenced him? When J-Hope appeared on Jay Park’s show did ARMY make memes that the other members need to rescue him or even slap sense into him like they did with JK’s selca with Jay Park? I agree with your last two sentences. He’s an individual, give him credit where credit is due. Defend him when he is being unnecessarily dragged instead of making memes about him. Respect him like you do the rest. That’s all I’m asking.

  • @ag1445

    @ag1445

    6 ай бұрын

@@SpringPetrichor-et8sq You not agreeing with the meme part shows (1) it happened (2) ARMY did do it (3) it was disrespectful to JK. When I first started looking into BTS on YT, I was constantly surprised how many jokes their were about JK’s supposed lack of intelligence among ARMY. How a person praising JK’s talent in a video about him is immediately downplayed as they are all equally talented. And before you start, no they’re not equally talented. They’re all talented but each have their own forte. To suggest that the rap line sing as well as the vocal line or vice versa would be rubbish. To suggest they’re all as good as Suga at production is rubbish. Boracity is considered ARMY. Yet she did a whole video on why she wouldn’t support Charlie Puth’s collab with JK. Did she do the same for Kodak Black and NLE Choppa? She did a whole video only recognising RM’s leadership and J-Hope’s Dance Leader role. The rest were irrelevant titles according to her. And yet Suga specifically stated (in the same Suchwita episode mentioned above) that they didn’t have issues because everyone had their roles. If minimising JK’s role as main vocalist for all the effort he puts in behind the scenes is not disrespectful then what is? None of the other members have donated a billion won. That’s why the Korean public were so taken aback. They say usually the amount is 1 million won. So why attribute his generosity to his hyungs instead of him? Again, give credit where credit is due. Give him the respect you give others as individuals.

@@ag1445 you have exposed your solo a&&. Ofcourse you are a JK solos a BTS anti. I suspected this frm your first comment . ARMY!!💥💥 ARMY who arr reading this. Be careful. This is how solos/akgaes manipulate ARMYs especially baby ARMYs. Firstly, she said when she saw YTvideos she thought abt how ARMY is discrediting JK. See akgaes judge based on other videos while ARMYs speaks based on BTS's words. Solos have no idea about BTS contents, their past or anything coz those are against their solo narrative. Again see how op is attacking an OT7 ARMY like boracity and bending her words. This was how akgaes attacked huge OT7 fan bases in twitter, by bending their words. New ARMYs who don't hav any idea abt BTS past, their struggles and their contents believed people like her and attacked those fan bases, eventually we lost many huge accounts which affected BTS voting, charting, streams and all. I don't knw why these people gets irritated when ARMY says all BTS members are talented? Solos want ARMY to praise only their fav member and to hate other members. These people r so delulu that many thinks JK ,Jimin and V hate each other and they all hate their company. So ARMY pls be careful, don't. E cupcakes and fall for their agenda coz most of them are blinks and kpoppies who wants to infiltrate ARMY fandom and make split inside the fandom to destroy BTS. The members are also aware abt this issue. That is exactly y the members are now vocal about OT7 than ever before. They started evn mentioning ARMY whenever some one use the word fans. So BE careful and ignore leeches like op.

I can see him doing artwork, painting, designing, etc. I think he'll take his music as far as he can, but I think later in life he will try other things. I just hope he doesn't get bored with performing because I will miss hearing him if he changes course. To me I'm glad that he tackled the love, relationships and sex aspect. All the solos saying it wasn't his decision and that he was just following what they wanted. I think it was good at 26 he finally talked about it in his songs. Even if he didn't write them specifically, it still shows that he wants to do it. And he's said in lives before he wants to be known in pop and K-pop. And if talking about all that helps, then do it. I feel like he wanted to as well. Now, maybe people will see him as an adult more now. He's so talented he can do it all. He's smart and knows what's best for him. Trust bts knows what they are doing. At 14:22,he's talking, and his hands are shaking. I wanted to hear your take on that. Is it nerves or something deeper?

His older members, RM especially, seem to be goal setters and I think JK has learned this quality from them. I always feel that if you could peek at JK’s soul there would be nothing but creativity. His success with the support of ARMY has made it possible to live his life developing and creating incredible art. He recognizes this and is grateful.

Many army are NOT disappointed in JK because he sings songs about sex. But we are disappointed because he and his team allowed Jack Hallow to objectify women in 3D. Especially him, white man, using the word of “ABGs” is unacceptable. That song is against everything BTS has ever stood for. It just embodies the toxic masculinity. Many criticise JK because we don’t want to give up on him. Really want to see him becoming a true mature man without expressions of misogyny.
