You know what's surprising...is that Army didn't even know that Jungkook would be performing there. Some Army were waiting and they even had army bombs (some of them, of course, guessed from the tips) It was a crazy event. Jungkook's voice is excellent🔥 he puts a lot of effort into his performances. Golden maknae🤌 Jk is unbelievable

LOL yes, a lot of them did. JK told them tomorrow there would be a surprise. NYC army knew he was in NY and many artists do this, so some took a chance. Before it was announced, there was around a thousand already there. Smart ARMY's figured it out, and talked about it on twitter.

It’s not 3 hours, the official announcement was made 30 minutes before he performed and ARMY had already started gathering hours before from nothing but crumbs… ARMY knows BTS 😂 20:28 it’s so funny that you guys said ,”now we cry” because I was crying and I was watching it live at 01:00 AM thousands of miles away because I couldn’t believe it happened and he was really gone 😂 mind you I stayed on twitch a while waiting for him to come back and the fact that he was so good. I was so overwhelmed with emotions 😂😅 I got 2 hours of sleep that night

Jungkooks actually now more confident, he's not as shy as he used to be. He did so many promotions for his singles and for his album himself and has been putting people who say anything out of line straight on his lives basically calling them out. I think because you guys are still watching fairly older stuff that you probably see him as the shy guy but he's definitely grown and has become more confident. You'll definitely see the growth the more you watch not just with JK but also with the other members.

One of the most legendary solo performances not just from a BTS member but in general I have seen in a long time! To sing live continuously while dancing like that for 5 songs 👑🙌👏 He is the King of Kpop and Koreas IT Boy after Golden!

This whole performance was jaw-dropping! With a 30 minute notice, the whole of Times Square was packed. Jungkook is a born entertainer, and since his solo album and promotions, and his WorldCup anthem last year, he has gained so much more confidence to do it all on his own. We already knew he could, and he has the talent, skills and drive. But now the whole world is watching and acknowledging. JK made a big sacrifice to break off his career at this point for military service, to be back with BTS in time. He is so loyal. As the youngest, he could've postponed the enlistment a few years. (As could Jimin and V). But I am glad they all choose to go together. And I will be so happy to see the 7 together again next year. And once they are all back, I'm sure all members will have more freedom to do solo projects, next to the group. So proud of JK! He is amazing. I can't even imagine the journey he made, since he left home for Seoul at 13 yo.

Jungkook is The Star, you know? I'm so proud of all he was and all he has become. He deserves all the praise and recognition for all the years of hardwork and dedication💜 Edit: POMICHADAI basically means SLAYYYY!! The night before There was a teaser that something was going to happen the next day - the day of I followed what was going on on Twitter and I also was watching the cam in Times Square that was right above that area and then people were saying on Twitter they were cleaning up that stage and it looked suspicious so they started gathering there - I watched the crowd get bigger and bigger - I almost drove from DC to NYC that day but I didn’t have any days of vaca left so I didn’t do it and I could kick myself! Then a half hour before the performance there was a notice of when and where and the screen popped up with the countdown! I watched as I was driving home from work and screaming along with the crowd while in my car!! It was a fantastic performance - so proud of him!!!!! Loved it when he says kinda teasing “ I see so many people… ARMY!” He knows ARMY loves him and would do anything for him. Damn I miss him!! 💜💜💜💜

since seven got released, more of general public got to know jungkook and hear his name and with 3D and standing next to you doing so well in streaming numbers and on the charts, radio shows played his songs on the radio and people who don’t know BTS got familiar with his name. he was mentioned a lot on social media in 2023 in general, so at Times Square there were lot of people who weren’t fans bc it’s a surprise event, some armys went there bc they simply guessed it. even so ppl listened to him and sung his songs which makes me incredibly proud. those tickets in 2026 will be impossible to get😭 yall will need to fight for them fiercely (i would totally watch the process if u decide to record it😭)

jungkook is sooo loved. ⁠​⁠​⁠i’ve never seen someone be so loved like jungkook. his solo music and vision and era is so loved. even by people that don’t care for kpop or bts music. i’m so proud of him for accomplishing his dreams of HIM becoming a huge global popstar. to do an album in full english, with so many of musics founding genres, with global historic legends of all races. he’s showing that you don’t need to play up your korean identity like most of kpop does (which in turn attracts a lot of koreaboos) to be famous. you can simply make /music/ as an asian and be accepted. he’s the first to not only do this, but excell at it, AND SO quickly. there’s no exotic box around him. the world treats him as a native western artist because he fits so perfectly and is so naturally talented. he’s so monumentally important for history and so many people like me. seeing him win, is like seeing everything good in the world come to fruition and the world take its next step as a society

There was a big screen over the stage that everyone could watch. This day was epic!

I was there! It was the craziest thing Ive ever done for BTS. To take the train to the city based on speculation. One Army posted, “Why are they cleaning JK’s billboard”, to “Why are they doing soundcheck?” It was 4:30pm and I told myself, well the worst that can happen is I make a big u-turn and just take pics of Jk’s billboard. I was wishing it was not just another advertisement/billboard surprise. And of course, 30 minutes before his show he announced he was performing at TSX! We were all there on speculation. And I had to go because the last time I saw him was PTD LA. I was thinking, this may be the last time I see him before his enlistment. And it’s free and the stage was so close! I had a blast! I wanted to be there for one of Jk’s core memories during his Golden ERA 💜💜💜🐰

I was there man, it was insane. At first it was only a rumor that he'd perform there because someone saw the stage open cause they were cleaning it. So people waited there, including me, and then 30 minutes before the performance it was announce as a surprise that he was gonna perform there. That day I did a whole midterm and 2 quizzes too but I booked it to nyc after and got such good spots ㅠㅠ jungkook really last year special and I can't believe I was able to see him 3 whole times.

I heard some army’s really flew after their work to see Jungkook and that is so amazing! His performance is worth it. 18minutes of being an incredible performer! Up to now, im still in awe everytime im watching this performance! Thank you CCW!

I had no idea this was going to happen, and I remember I was going to take that specific day off but my mom told me to hold it off for the following week instead and while I was at work, this happened. I could have literally gone to see him, I was 30 minutes away. I was so upset but this was amazing. I am so proud of our JK.

Thank you so so soooo much for watching this, I was requesting for this from so long, jungkook is so cool he was born to be cool. “Golden” is the album that I’m not getting enough of it, I’m listening on repeat everyday. omg i hope at some point you guys get to watch his GOLDEN Live on Stage showcase, which was basically a one day concert where he performed all his songs, it was amazing. and he had some really beautiful and touching heart-to-heart moments with ARMY

I loved all the songs on this album, each one was a surprise 😍 I'm very proud of him, he killed it like he did at the World Cup. The members of BTS must be very proud of him. 💜👏🏻

After 3D song, Jungkook says "Pomechodai" Means SLAY in Korean 😅 He so have fun and he did awesome there we proud of our golden maknae 💜

Yes or No is so good but Somebody is superior. His vocal range in that is so amazing and I love Somebody. I wish he sing Somebody instead of Please don't change but I am not complaining, he already done so much. I hope you guys check his album out.

I’ll wait for you to dive into the Golden Album and hopefully the Golden Live on Stage that he had 💜🥰 P.S. he is the second artist after Post Malone that had performed there. JK’s album was just a few days into its release but you can clearly hear the crowd singing alone to the new songs (SNTY, YES OR NO, PLS DONT CHANGE). He also mentioned in one of his lives that he was the one who did the whistle that you hear in Pls Don’t Change - this bit of trivia for DANIEL because he likes whistling 😂

I think it’s incredible that jungkook took the responsibility of being the centre and main vocalist at such a young age it must have put so much pressure on him it's not easy to handle that much responsibility and expectations but he managed to pull it off, and now he's here. he is so amazing.

ARMY figured it out the day before that the location was the Calvin Klein billboard (JK was the brand ambassador after all & had been there for weeks). Once we knew there was hints of a performance, it was kind of obvious. This was the billboard that Post Malone did a performance from so there was precedent for a show to be there. Lots of my friends went!! I had a very important appointment, so I could not go!! I was thinking at the time that he might go on tour...the military announcement came later. I console myself by saying I saw him at the GMA performance in Central Park.

there was a smal truck in the square who sold merch special for this performance i believe so army was lining up after the show. but can you imagine how lucky you are to live or work in that area when he performed? I saw several tik tok videos from strangers who didn´t knew who jk was but was impressed by the massive crowd and everyone walking by could not help but stop and look. and a person working for the radio near by was an army and she got permission to go and se him. i saw it on the news station.

Guyss at 13:45 he says "pomichodai" which around that time he used a lot and became popular on twitter, it basically means "slay" lol

Either Today Show, or GMA said their office is right across the street from this and they were talking about it saying that some employees left work to go out there and were so excited. Amazing.
