Offtopic but I came back here telling you the news about the latest leak about Shonen Jump crossover I've heard/watched: The name of newly-rumored game opposed to "Jump Stars Ultimax" is called "Jump Cross Burst". Please make a video about this rumor

LMAO I still believe that a Jump Game is coming or going to be revealed in the next 2 years or so. But the leak with 163 characters killed it instantly.

SMASH render is my favorite render of all time for these reasons: looks better than realistic graphics, and made all fictional characters look better to each other while still maintain their own artstyle like how Smash Ultimate handled its roster (imagine Superman, Spiderman, Ben Tennyson, Mario, Mikoto Misaka, Goku, Pikachu, Wargreymon, Mickey Mouse, Spongebob Squarepants, Link, Sonic, Solid Snake, Cloud Strife, Jinx, Tracer, and literally many many more 🤩)

Smash clones are all the rage these days. If not by players then certainly in the boardroom.

Anime game leakers are crazy. They all try to leak the same things meanwhile there’s like 20 other games that randomly come out. Maybe if they want some real credibility they should leak something out of left field instead of going “Oh a new Jump Crossover is coming out” like we don’t all know that shit already.

I know I'm very late, but I'm impressed that you presented very solid arguments for why this leak was fake (that now is obviously old) but never considered that whonever made this leak wasn't creative at all and just took the name from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (and somehow made an logo that even looks similar)

I have absolutely no idea how licensing works outside “Company A pays Company B to use their IP,” but it doesn’t sound like it would.

nah, you aint wrong tho. 😭Game got leaked almost a year ago, and we got no info. If Ultimax Does happen, it'd prob be 63 characters not 163 because a "translation issue"😂

That Luffy art on that 'Jump Stars Ultimax' poster looks hella out of place. That's not being passed off as an official thing, is it? Because there's no way someone with even half decent eyesight would believe the game was real.

The problem is most fans see anime games as games first, when in reality they are almost always just promotion for the anime. Of course there's gonna be a new jump game, they've been making them for years, its just more likely it wont be localized like a vast majority of them used to be. Or maybe they will, who actually knows what shonen jump considers a success when it comes to the games. Either way, after watching your fantastic video I'm glad that I'm not plugged into the anime fandom too much, seems like a hot bed of misinformation.

For me, I included everyone from both Jump Force and J-Stars as well as adding anyone who's not included in these 2 yet (e.g. Yoh Asakura, Yusei Futo, Cobra, etc) as playable characters while those support characters are from J-Stars but I placed those joke characters like policeman Kankichi Ryotsu, Lucky Man, etc from playable to support instead. This roster is mainly for including as much Shonen Jump IPs as I can with only both protagonists and antagonists alone Besides, are there's any other characters I supposed to add? Maybe will I also include major deuteragonists too (e.g. Naruto's Team 7)? Or maybe something else like how to correct/improve this roster like fix what's someting wrong about it? yeah it was basically SRW but with more interesting combat, with characters from three different game studios (four in PxZ2) I thought it was cool so if they did a Jump TRPG it'd be sick...if only it'd have the theme songs like SRW had...CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA, We Are, Stand Proud, Pegasus Fantasy, You Say Run, etc.

Yeah I dunno about this almost-definitely-fake leak. What we need is a new Jump Super Stars/Jump Ultimate Stars, that would be fucking amazing. I don't know why those never got a follow-up after the DS. Those were THE import games back when they came out (in fact Best Buy in the US actually stocked those games despite them being japanese-only). Shit had 56 playable characters from 28 series (41 series represented total if you include support and help characters), and many of them got multiple versions with different attacks (so the actual playable character count was actually higher than 56). And it was fun as fuck.

Every single kid I've ever met who owned a ps2, which has to be at least 4 out of 10, had the game Not just that, we all ended up buying multiple copies of the game bc we played it so much the disc would stop working. I myself have had at least 10 copies (without counting the moded versions), so yeah. I'm sure.

Over 100 characters when DBZ only managed that by making them all play the same and recycle a bunch of attack animations and the largest fighting game with a diverse roster of unique characters that play differently from each other barely scratches 80 after decades of iterations and DLC….sure….

it would be great if the next game wasn't just 80 percent One piece, Dragon ball and Naruto, give lesser known ips a chance like the first 2 titles, it's suppose to be a celebration of jump right? we didn't even get Gintama in jump force which pisses me off to this day, the series needs more diversity like smash bros, and no we don;t need 173 characters to even do it.

i understand your point in this video , but you have to give the leakers credit though because they said a new dragonball xenoverse type game was coming and they were right (It being budokai tenkaichi 4). Then they made claims of a new demon slayer game and a storm 5 game being released as well and now look where we're at. We have ALL THREE of those games now making their way to us fans so whenever a leaker starts talking about anime games, I always believe them until they give us a reason not to.

Yeah, no. Here’s what actually happened. The “leakers” said we were getting Xenoverse 3. *I* said a New Tenkaichi may be coming nearly a year before it was announced, and was the only person to say so. I was right. The “leakers” said Hinokami Chronicles 2. I knew Demon Slayer was getting SOMETHING, but was leaning toward either HC2 or story DLC for 1. Everyone was wrong. The “leakers” said “Storm 5,” I was just hoping whatever was coming wasn’t a mobile game. Thankfully I was wrong, but what we got wasn’t Storm 5 either. If you gotta believe somebody, I’d say believe me tbh. I’ve been more consistent and guessed things the “leakers” never even thought of. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I believe Fighting Climax is a celebration of an anime studio and the works they made along with Sega just making the fighting game. This is why it’s such a strange crossover of characters like Kirito, Mikoto, Emi, and Akira while fighting on green hill zone. So there wasn’t really any licensing issues to be had because it was just an agreement between two companies. The one who asked to make the game ASCII Media Works, and the ones making it Sega

Storm 4 is the second-worst numbered Storm game and it’s the highest-selling anime game, so not really

But the combat in jump force was trash! It was constantly repetitive, and boring and Ontop of that, the dlc didn’t really do it very much so justice. People were wanting characters like D gray man’s Allen and Toriko to come back. Just to come and get battle stadium DON 2.0

To show that it is possible to have a good crossover game and maybe the leaks for the next one aren't necessarily false or for a bad game, but I do agree with you that it's way harder to work with this kind of games now than in the 2000s

So let’s read and assess what you just typed. 1. “If Shueisha helps, the 163 characters is a possibility” does not address anything I said about the character count 2. “Ultimax was in development before Jump Force” so this game was in development as early as 2016 and has been in the works alongside Kakarot and Hinokami Chronicles? 3. “Jump Force was only a B plan because CC2 didn’t have sufficient time to launch Ultimax in 2019” so Ultimax and Jump Force were in development at the same time, but Jump Force launched in 2019 while Ultimax was delayed for another 5 years? Do you realize how that sound?

60 X 6m is 360 million dollars converted to yen is 53,902,800,000 you said half the roster would be 977 million yen 53 billion is 55 X the amount required

The funniest parts about this are: - You think none of the copies sold were discounted - You conveniently ignored any of the other potential costs I mentioned What’s even funnier is that I deliberately undershot the character costs because there’s no guarantee that CC2 would just reuse all the assets from their Naruto, DB, JoJo, or Demon Slayer games.

@@AniPlugMedia I'm not arguing with you I'm just going based off the numbers you gave you didn't mention discounts etc but even if each game was halved it would still be way more than 977 million yen the profit would be 25x more if you half that it would still be 12.5 times more than the budget you said in your video

@@AniPlugMedia you added all the numbers together and gave an estimate what it would cost to make half the Jump ultimax roster which was 977 million You said the game sold over 6m copies and that was at 60 dollars so even if we half it to 30 dollars the profit they made would still be 25 times more than the cost of half the roster which means they could make 150 characters and still have change a lot of it

Uhm, for my optimistic impression about it, I'll only believe that making of this crossover game is actually real while its leaked details (like that OUTDATED title logo) are only considered fake I mean other than Jump Assembly (new mobile moba game), at least Shonen Jump's 55th anniversary is a sign that its crossover is on the horizon, and I'll pretend that its leaked details don't exist for obvious reasons

1:52 Nah that game was dogshit. We should’ve gotten a new jstars game. After all it’s the same engine that was used to make zenkai battle royale and that game was fun! If anything if it isn’t broke. Don’t fix it. Hell we never gotten up and comers like Allen walker from d gray man to join the fray! Hell he’d have a very unique moveset too. Jump force feels like more of a slap in the face and tired to be more like battle stadium D.O.N. 2.0 in all honesty. Look at all of the dlc for crying out loud as further proof.

And this has proven fake, there ain't gonna be another Jump stars game

Jump Force had a great art style that for once didn't clash with the bloom like every other game now does. Naruto storm connections looks so ugly it's not even funny and that's just because of added bloom.
