Carrie Whitney - you got this!
I've been trying to do this all my life. After watching your video, i can do it easy. Jumping straight up, first rope pass fast, second rope pass relax with use of the momentum of the first is perfect advice.
When I was 12, I was in a jump rope club and we were required to learn how to do double unders and work are way up to doing 20. I ended learning and eventually I was able to do 20 consecutive double unders. I didn't know it then, but I was in the best shape of my life because of jump rope. I'm now 45 and I can do a whopping 2 double unders.

I've made so much progress just watching these videos the last month. You guys are phenomenal and highly motivating!!! Keep up the amazing work.
I watched this video and then picked up my skipping rope and tried the one hard swing and it worked instantly for me. Thanks guys for making these videos!
I've been trying to do double unders for weeks now, I only could do 1 or 2 in a row but my timing was completely off. Today I wanted to give up until I've watched this tutorial once, and the tip of trying to jump without the rope was perfect, only thing I was missing was finding the rythm, so proud of myself for mastering this now, you guys are awesome, keep the good work !

Very analytic and well described !! I have been trying to cope up double under technique for so long but still not made it . Hope I can figure it out now and will let you afterword.....cheerz
Thank you so much, helped me a lot, I just had to correct one error, done now!
So I'd consider myself pretty good at jump rope - I can do a lot of jump rope tricks, but one I could never do was the double under. Thanks to your video, I was able to pull off my first successful double under today, and I'm gonna keep on practicing. Thanks very much bro!
Dude, that is the best double under tutorial ever! I managed my first one a few days ago and struggled with tripping on the next jump. I just tried that advice about swinging hard just once and did around 6 double unders in a row! Amazing!

Fairly new to doing CrossFit workouts, +/- 1 year, and off all things doubleunders gives me the biggest headache out of all movements. Going to definitely have to try these tips out and see if I can get better at it.
I’ve been struggling with doubles for so long and I’ve watched so many videos. But the two things that stood out for me here - is less is more, and the first skip should be the hardest...I’m going to try this. I’m hopefully let’s see how I go. Is there anyway I can get more tutorials from you guys on the same? Thanks for sharing this video!! Cheers
Will try this out. Learning this to improve my badminton jump smashes

Dude... your advice regarding the rhythm was critical. Upped PB today from 3 with horrible form to 6 with good form (apart from jumping very high) and really felt it clicking. If you ever feel like making another vid about DU, maybe you focus on that even more. Like that Dr. Double Under or what he calls himself, on his channel is a decent video about the rhythm, too.

Good tip re the fast, slower motion
Can it be done without an elastic rope?
I haven't watched the whole vid but I'll share one tip. I am 12 and was trying to do the double under but I couldn't. I watched him do it carefully and saw that when he jumps he make his feet horizontal. Mine were kinda vertical which made me get to the floor quicker. So I made my feet horizontal mid air and it worked. Just wrote it so if anyone has this prob, they can correct it. 😊

It is *one* of the best forms of cardio for weight loss yes but really nutrition (specificially how MUCH you are eating) will be the biggest determinant of how much weight you lose. I am very confident you can lose 50 lbs by dialing in your nutrition and doing these workouts consistently. Be sure to check out our newly released course where we discuss all of this! Good luck brother and let us know how we can help! offer.zendudefitness.com/course
