Heard this for the the first time on CBC Radio of all places. They both have wonderful voices. Canadian bands such as this don't get enough recognition and support IMO.

Soon this band will be really famous and the lead singer will be able to afford more shirts.

I'm 62, been a music addict for 50 of those years...and I find them quite appealing. Sure, both their voices are basically borderline weird ( I'd describe him as a young Cohen crossed with a Waits who didn't gargle quite so much Drano ), but I love the way they work together, and it's got the type of tempo I've always loved....so there.

Anyone else love Peter and Leah's interactions? Like some weird "beauty and the beast", loyalty and love thing. She always seems to be shoving him in the face and shit and he keeps coming back and staring at her like she's his next meal/ lover. And then she calms him down. It's kind of a bit weird but very cool.

I saw them in KC in 2019 there was definitely this weird Dom/Sub Rejection display dynamic going on between them, it was fun to watch, amazing concert. It makes their chemistry really interesting. the sets were ... July Talk followed by Metric

That moment you're driving and listening to the radio and you have to scramble to your phone and try to shazam the song before it ends without crashing. Don't think i ever would have found it otherwise. Great song.

That's how I found them too, almost. I was coming home from hiking in Jasper, "The Garden" played, and I had no cell phone signal. Or pen and paper for the lyrics.

His voice is just one modulated dry-throated hung-over groan and I love it.

From 0:56 to 1:25 Her voice and that keyboard are godly together.

Nobody asked the question yet, but who the hell thought of that amazing videoclip? How many visual effects were made in post? I mean, it looks like a one single take. I guess the background/stage had mechanical stuff to trick the staging. It is technically a brilliant videoclip. The band is amazing of course, but the clip itself just made my jaw dropped.

Though they do dip to black the only time that could hide a cut is at 2:02. The start/finish is about the 3:05 mark. As the camera zooms to a closeup of the male vocalist the drum set behind him is unoccupied and mostly hidden, but as he continues to sing you can see one of the high hats close. The camera than begins to zoom out, the drum is now occupied and the two guitars and female vocalist come crashing into scene.

absolutely love these guys. such different voices that work great together. Are these two together? the way he looks at her is so lovingly!

Wicked!! A dichotomy between light and dark, indifference and bias, aggression and humility, beauty and the beast. The attention to detail in the cinematography of this video is amazing. Watched it several times and I still keep finding subtleties I missed. Hope to see more of this caliber from these guys. Intelligent, brilliant

These guys are friggen awesome, the local radio station only started playing this song a few weeks ago, I thought it was new. I'm 58 years old, Canadian and I am still blown away from the amazing hidden talent i still get to discover that we have in this great country

July Talk and Metric were touring together last year.. it was an epic concert.

Saw them live in Edmonton at the Pawn Shop this past Thursday. Awesome live performance, guys voice is 100% real.

Living in Northern NY, loved 89.9 The Drive for alternative music out of Kingston, ON where I heard July Talk the 1st time. Shocked to hear country music one day. So, 89.9% Canadian music artists suck, but rank July Talk right up there with Depeche Mode, New Order ....... Miss them all on The Drive

I really couldn't picture this guy as the voice of the band. He looks completely opposite of what I was imagining.

The bass player looks like he should be singing with that voice!

Totally not what I expected the guy to look like. I'm addicted to this band..

I love the passion between these two.

Saw these guys live and I can't stress how amazing it was; such an intimate gig and I enjoyed every second. His voice is out of this world and hers too - they have such good chemistry it makes the whole thing run well. It's not just their music, but the show they put on with it. Obsessed with these guys!

They both have the best facial expressions, alone and when interacting with each other. Dynamite dynamic.

July Talk are just the “dark gritty reboot” of Crash Test Dummies.

There was a KZread ad with these guys going around for a little while now, and I just finally got myself over here ... I really like their sound! They definitely deserve to be really big! They've got a neat sound.

Seen them last night at catfish! So amazing live, both vocally and their stage presence is phenomenal

Just found this band a day or two ago and I've probably listened to each of their songs 10 times already. So pumped about finding them!

Can't wait to see them for the third time in less than half a year, they put on an amazing show.

Heard Guns and Ammunition on the radio and was captivated. The song is amazing. So I checked out their video on youtube. Watching them craft this song is even more enthralling. While watching them I'm trying to figure out where they are from. The singer really does sound like Tom Waits but the group must be from somewhere exotic. Well kind of . They are from Toronto. I'm blown away. Another Canadian group that I can add to my double thumbs up list. The Wikipedia article is inspirational.

SO proud to say there ARE other artists from Toronto here who AREN'T the Weekend or Drake though I love them as well.
