Both of them top chefs. They seem to have such fun together.

He's a classical trained in chef by right. Julia was trained at Cordon Blue In France. Notice how much faster he finishes a dish than Julia does. It's not her age, but rather that he worked in restaurants where speed was essential. They both are accomplished chefs. I had the privilege of taking lessons from Jacques and met Julia Child many times. They are why at 70 I cook today.

if you watch JP later shows, he makes nice reference during certain segments to something Julie would say, and then he smiles.

Same here. These are two outstanding chefs who love cooking, but also teaching at the same time. I still remember watching them on PBS every weekend. They both have a great sense of humor, which makes it fun to watch

I don’t entirely miss working in a commercial kitchen, but think I could listen to a ten hour ASMR loop of Jacques chopping and sautéing

They make me wish I had a kitchen friend to have fun with. I always feel like I’m alone in the kitchen.

I tried Jacques’ French omelet technique and by gosh it worked like a charm.

I am forever amused when he vigorously shakes the pan making an omelette. I really don’t know why.

That “baked potato” looking way of slicing open an omelette and adding your other things is, as usual, genius, compared to the overcooked American diner omelette style 🧡

They are completely wrong about storing eggs. Old school thinking!
